Never even existed in the first place, it was just the default, you could still switch it was just buried in the settings somewhere. Sounds like they just copy pasted the Internet Explorer ruling from 30 years ago and called it a day without even examining the facts.

3090 aged like shit. it runs hot as hell. transient spikes like a mofo. slower than 6900xt/6950xt. its only saving grace is 24gb of vram but it has no use unless you do 30b models.

4090 and 5090 is when they learned to cool the vram properly. 3090 and before all suffer from vram failure sooner or later because they pretty much run 100c.

I do this thing where I bring up codewars and then I have Grok help me come up with the solutions so I can learn new stuff. Grok goes awry if you have a thread that goes on for too long. I get it to solve a problem, but it creates a new problem, and then when it solves that problem it reverts the previous solution we had so the original problem is recreated. It starts going in circles. It seems to totally forget what we talked about earlier or it forms too many branches and then it get jumbled up and you realize its not a miracle, its a reddit scraper stringing words together. I'm starting to realize the Gartner curve is a thing. And I blew 30 dollars on this thing (SuperGrok 4 heavy)

I think the main use for it is writing emails, that's the only thing it can do reliably without supervision.

it works pretty well when you lay the fundations yourself and then just ask for some little things you need without providing the whole codebase.

In my experience when it can't build the whole thing from scratch it won't do it even after long debugging sessions
>>
>>106466960
it's like smart autistic engineer. it knows a lot, could give you multiple options on doing "same" thing, but without understanding what it applies and control on the added code, the codebase turns into unusable shit
>>
>>106466960
in my experience its pretty bad
i never used a paid version, but it shouldnt change much, only that the ai can handle more code

from what i gather theres two problems that are connected plus a third one, separate

theres the context size- how much data can be "in focus" at once
and that appears to be a problem at around 300 lines of code in c.
beyond that the ai seems to forget parts of the code, or parts of the "assignment"
the second one is the attention problem. because the ai cannot keep all the code "in focus", it resorts to deciding which parts of the code are relevant, and which are not. and it doesnt get it right.
whenever your code will have side effects, expect the ai to break
also always pay attention to your code, the ai wont know whats relevant and whats not.
for example: ai would have gotten me banned from facebook's api on day one if i were vibecoding

and finally theres the data problem.

>for example: ai would have gotten me banned from facebook's api on day one if i were vibecoding
*because it didnt knew it has to add in a delay bw requests,
which would mean id get b& because fb's server s would have thought im trying to ddos them

Is it possible to use this piece of shit, without basically live streaming the contents of your hard drives to "them" and having all your actions on the internet archived?

I mean like some anti-spyware software or something?

I have looked into O&O ShutUp10++ and it seems decent(ish). Is there anything better out there?

Inb4: use Linux. I did for months ... and I just fucking can't anymore. It's always something with Linux. It's just a matter of time before you have to fix some basic shit which would never even be a problem on Windows.

If you’re just doing big titty 1girls, how would it suck? The newer bigger models are just slower and don’t particularly make anime even in different styles better than noob/illus models. I can’t imagine how a “better” model would actually improve the output much.

prompt adherence + better handling of multiple subjects. If all you care about is 1girl standing in a basic pose, then yeah noob/illus will be fine for ages.

The "Forward vs Deferred vs Forward+ Rendering with DirectX 11" by 3dgep is how I implemented mine. He covers most of the details you need for implementing it. It's best for small lights, if you have a ton of lights that have a giant illumination radius then it doesn't work as well. It works well with DDGI and virtual light probes.
>>
>>106465352
This is nothing short of amazing. Its a shame that resolution is tanking the performance.
How do you feel about the loos of detail?
Is it bad or noticeable but passable?

>Am I going to be ultimately a worse developer
Everyone has their own pace of learning things and learning 3D shit requires understand a bit of math so it'll take time to get through all that. Just don't try to speed run it and take your time and you won't end up being anywhere near a worse developer.
>is my game not going to be as good because I chose Unity
If anything, you will have to struggle a lot to make your game look as good as it would on Unity. Its the performance that'll by default be better than Unity of course but in terms of end game quality, 3D demands you to have a good grasp over a lot of stuff for rendering good graphics with cool composition techniques and you don't have to know about all of them because its not necessary and your game wouldn't need all of them either. The journey won't always be smooth and consistency is the key.
>how do you come up with ideas for the games for your engines
the most efficient way to start is by picking up an existing implementation(a game) and replicating it.
You can choose an existing game and create an exact clone or alter it as per your preference. This way, you'll get to experience the kinds of challenges one has to face while making that particular kind of game. After you've done this several times covering wide range of genres, you simply become a pro.

I'm thinking of a game where I want to integrate a chatbot, any idea what the easiest way to do that in Godot would be?

I basically want it to handle dialogue, generative descriptions, and a level of 'decision making' - maybe using tool calling or just parsing JSON/XML from the outputs.

presumably just because there are more people who can afford to build PCs in 2025 compared to any moment in the past... like, even though GPUs were objectively cheaper 10 years ago, I definitely had access to far less money than I do now, so a 600 euro GPU today is more accessible to me than a 250 euro GPU a decade ago
