Sufficient tokens, too few and the LLM has to fill in the gaps, too many, and the LLM becomes too strict but many cards also have a lot of repetition in the description, adding unnecessary tokens and sometimes the details can confuse the LLM. Then, there needs to be a proper opening message, a lot of people lazily add all the details in the first message rather than in the card itself which can make long term management more of a pain because you're wasting summaries on shit that should already be in the character description or scenario box. Or, they make the first message too short, or worse, talk or act for {{user}}. Then, there's making sure that you add the proper rules for the card you're making within the description itself like >>106462426 said, otherwise you have to edit the card yourself to make it actually function as intended. Writing style is another thing a lot of people skip out on, it really helps to give the LLM an example message of how your character(s) speak so that they stay consistent between different chats, or if you need to create a new chat with a summarization of the previous. Finally, you have to make sure to write everything cleanly and consistently which applies to most of what I said, so many cards are just all over the place, clearly written hastily, and admittedly I'm still learning, but the more I learn, the more I see all the mistakes people make.

yeah, true.
But its not at all needed for a 2D side scroller where the sprites are usually of fixed scaling.
And since anon was already doing SDF shit, having mipmaps on top it would only make it less performant because computing SDF already takes care of aliasing and shimmering so its better to avoid doing that additional step.

People do that?
I've heard of people using specific author styles in sysprompt, but who in the fuck is sitting there and going 'yes, the prose is the good part of discworld, write like that llm-chan'.
>>
In my opinion, new models have reached their limit; the scaling of LLMs is over. New LLM models will not be much better than the ones we have today. Now, 'enshittification' will become an increasingly widespread phenomenon, including censorship and other issues. People will start using older versions of LLMs with less censorship. And the new models for role-playing and similar uses will become unusable.
>>
>>106469718
100% this. It's also sad how even the top models have absolutely zero semi-complex spatial awareness or anatomic understanding the moment things get slightly complex. The shit I've had to read in a simple scenario where a girl is flattened into piece of paper and then folded up one or two times is just sad even with top-of-the-line multi-modal models like Claude Opus 4.1 or Gemini.
Most models love to pretend that her face presses into her own ass somehow like this.
I don't think we'll ever get to the point where an LLM has fundamental enough understanding to truly grasp spacial relations.
>>
>>106469718
This has been true for a while. The silver lining is that models have improved a lot at math and codemaxxing, which implies that finetuning can be effective. RP is a forgotten afterthought at most, if anything they actively spend time trying to make models worse at it. There probably is a ton of room to improve if someone actually tried to make models good at RP.

The market supply is so large, matured, and starving that getting a few of my friends in (they aren't Indian, or any women, and most are fathers), is a healthy form of nepotism. Networking isn't sexy, because it's a real job. Not your tiktok, free lunch, insta-slut HR, grifting bootcamp hocking developer "tech" community. Fuck you niggers.

Anyway, you're supposed to cultivate a corporate network of compatriots in real life and not on Instagram, it helps you stay employed.

Never question my methods again.

>market supply is so large
Yes supply is large and demand is maturing and dimnishing

>a corporate network of compatriots
So you bring lazy people, as your backers, to stay in power.
How's that different from Brahmins bringing dalits to order them around?

Nepotism is never healthy.

And that's not networking, if you give anything for free, nobody's obliged to give you anything back.

Google has decided to play hardball with Ublock Origin. I need adfree gooning or I'm going to get blueballs. Should I just compile it from the source and load it in developer mode? I have already messed with the flags, but it seems like Google is messing with that option too. I realized that in the time I have been searching for config options I could have just compiled it. The AMD options are the only choice at this point given how Intel is flailing about
>>

>>
I'm looking for a laptop that has a 1366x768 panel but a relatively recent cpu, at least 10 000+ cpu mark.
Is it possible to find something like this?
Basically, high dpi screens really fuck with my eyes, making them constantly refocus. I've been using a 1366x768 laptop for 8 years then switched to a newer laptop with a 1920x1080 screen and started having severe eye strain, with my myopia worsening in the span of 2 months.
I can only comfortably use a low-res screen, it seems. How would you get out of this predicament bros
>>
>>106469757
I don't think DPI is the issue here. PWM is.
Modern panel controls brightness by rapidly turning the screen on and off. Try set the brightness to max and see if it helps.
>>
>>106469776
I did consider this, and found that the new 1920x1080 laptop I used actually didn't have PWM. Currently, I have a Mac Air 15 M4 side by side with a thinkpad e15 (with 1920x1080) from work, and the difference is night and day. It's like when looking at thinkpad screen, I perceive the information being displayed "immediately", while on mac, my eyes constantly refocus on each part of the screen to be able to read. And scaling doesn't help.
With this thinkpad e15 it's also not perfect, with prolonged usage I still get fatigue.
