Why don't you use nix?
It looks kinda gay
I use WSL2 on windows. I get netflix/amazon prime/crunchyrool streaming, but can also do actual work and home media server things. So I do use nix. Why don't I use linux, is because the desktop environment has gotten worse/nowhere over the last 25 years.
>>107623927the actual main nix cli was pretty retarded last time I trieddnf, portage, apk (alpine) and many more are fine and straight-forward, why does nix have such a mess as the main package manager?

Future is here. Just wait untill someone creates a thin foldable keyboard in a case form factor, and you have a fucking laptop in your pocket. You can code everywhere. You can ssh into your home server from anywhere. And you dont have to carry your laptop with you. After trifolds become a success they will develop a quadfold for that 16:9 aspect ratio.

Python, one of the very few modern & popular programming languages not owned by big tech, is now begging hard for money at python.org (picrel), Wikipedia style. This comes after the PSF rejected an US government grant because the PSF can't stop shilling for DEI: https://developers.slashdot.org/story/25/10/28/211237/python-foundation-rejects-government-grant-over-dei-restrictionsThe same PSF then reported a surge of new donators following the above rejection: https://developers.slashdot.org/story/25/11/09/2017240/python-foundation-donations-surge-after-rejecting-grant---but-sponsorships-still-neededYet, they are now begging for money, using a big, intrusive and cringe banner at python.org, kek. This is what your donated money is used for: https://www.python.org/psf/grants>Conferences (e.g. PyCon Italia)>Event site subscriptions (Meetup.com) (e.g. London Django Meetup)>Django Girls Workshops (e.g. Django Girls Busan Workshop)>PyLadies Workshops (e.g. All Day PyLadies Workshop)These faggots have a whole page dedicated to their DEI philosophy: https://www.python.org/community/diversityTheir Libera Chat #python IRC channel is filled to the brim with trannies (they/them and she/her pronouns set as their IRC name).Comment too long. So what's the deal with everyone hating on Rust? The usual points people bring up are: >wokism >tranny language >made by jews >it's a cult Disregarding the aforementioned points, can you tell me actual reasons for why a safe(r) programming language like Rust shouldn't be adopted more widely?
>>107623348memory leak because of nodes referencing each other> OOM is not a memory issue!
>>107618040you can't do X in Rust> because you don't need X!
>>107623819>Like what? Other than meme lisp machines.Computers designed for COBOL for example, and computers with descriptors where "array decay" isn't allowed. All of these innovations are better for regular high-level languages, but are bad for C because C is PDP-11 assembler that thinks it's a high-level language.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burroughs_Medium_Systems>They operated directly on COBOL-68's primary decimal data types: strings of up to 100 digits, with one EBCDIC or ASCII digit character or two 4-bit binary-coded decimal BCD digits per byte. Portable COBOL programs did not use binary integers at all, so the B2500 did not either, not even for memory addresses. Memory was addressed down to the 4-bit digit in big-endian style, using 5-digit decimal addresses. Floating point numbers also used base 10 rather than some binary base, and had up to 100 mantissa digits. A typical COBOL statement 'ADD A, B GIVING C' may use operands of different lengths, different digit representations, and different sign representations. This statement compiled into a single 12-byte instruction with 3 memory operands. [2] Complex formatting for printing was accomplished by executing a single EDIT instruction with detailed format descriptors. Other high level instructions implemented "translate this buffer through this (e.g. EBCDIC to ASCII) conversion table into that buffer" and "sort this table using these sort requirements into that table".

Thanks for getting it working. Haven't been on it much but I do wonder a couple things:The catalog is more inconsistent with images; when tapping on one thread's OP image, it opens another. When tapping on the thread itself, it opens the correct thread, OP pic and all, as expected. Anyone else?I read yesterday how the updater is "confused" and redownloads the same version. I haven't messed with that, but wonder when it will update and only notify when there's actually a new version?More philosophical; vibe coding. Is it actually a retarded or smart idea? Why can't AI be told what's wrong in the app, the expected behavior, then rewrite the component so it works?
Just use Chance.
