rtings.com should be a dead site. There are so many monitors that have no reviews there and a lot of the monitors they say are good are already outdated. Like the AOC Q27G3XMN. Why would you get that when the AOC Q27G40XMN is out and is at the same price as this? And it doesn't have a review at all.
I bought a part from newegg. A week they later, they dropped the price. I requested a price difference refund and they actually honored it.

I'm having fun using Qwen Image (released in 2025) to generate base images in a generic style and then doing style transfer with Illu/Noob. And Qwen Edit can do awesome stuff through pure prompting that you used to need very manual inpainting/controlnet for (remove speech bubbles, colorize, etc).

>>107632798Based Debian and Need for Speed enjoyer>>107632798>>107633051Regarding volume, on my machine the volume up/down shortcuts on the keyboard work. But an alternative is defining your own keyboard shortcuts for volume up/down, and yeah I've done that with Openbox before. Anon is using XFCE/XFWM though. I think there might be a GUI menu in XFCE for setting keyboard shortcuts so maybe that would work.
>>107633571Fair enough. I guess I could just write one script per key/identity and hard-code the values. I'll probably just do that, maybe with gpg -k '<email>' in order to yoink the key ID so that dead already-rotated key IDs don't stay in the script.
gpg -k '<email>'
>>107630533Thank you for your advice. The current situation is as such:I have one device and I want to keep it like that, also regarding NAS. Also money issue.1 M2 SSD 1TB, system.4 HDD, 4TB each.4 HDD are currently pooled in one BTRFS, where Data is RAID10 and Metadata is RAID1C4.There exists a pile of small, old ancient external HDDs filled with misc.I'm unhappy with this box. I set it up in 2016, later updated to 20.04 and everything is a mess.So I plan to purge the OS and fresh just works Distro.I also plan to fix directory structure and the general file clutter. If my box got nuked I'd probably not ever miss most of the data or realize I had it.This is why I need to decide on a FS for the 16TB HDDs. I then plan to unfuck it all and migrate the ancient non-backed-up external drives. I also need a strategy to do that, unless I want to spend money. I imagine I can safely remove devices from the pool, and if the new FS pools can grow I can probably move half of the devices, move data and then move the remaining devices. Is BtrFs a dead end? Why ZFS?>>107632032I envision a virtual volume on the pool than can be mounted only using key or cert. Like with a LUKS partition or something.Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

I like how a stick of RAM costs 2000 bucks now.Thank you, anons. Thank you for this shit.I guess I will never build another computer. But that's they you guys planned it. First you make people dependent on tech, then you remove the tech.also fuck you with the new, more tedious captcha.Everything goes in the wrong direction. Scan your face and pay 2k to post on 4chan am I right?
>>107633677>Why don't they just make more ram? Isn't that what supply and demand says, that high prices will incentivize higher supply?True but far more complicated than you you seem to anticipate. The fabrication of RAM-chips as well as other kind of memory chips is very complicated and you need super expensive machines to do this. They're not readily available to buy. They get built on request/order.ASML needs about a year until a single machine is built. Then it has to be acclimated and calibrated. Then you need the staff that knows how to use it and you need fabrication buildings with controlled climate and counter earthquake measures and vibration damping founjdations to be built. Many locations on this planet would simply not apply to the geological criterias needed to produce modern nanometer structured chips. It simply takes years from now to ramp up production of these chips. We can only hope for these AI-providers getting saturated with chips a nd finally not requesting as many as they do now.My guess this will take two or three years from now.And i think they will ramp up by building new production lines as well, but as said, this will also take years to actually make a difference.
