It is though

What the fuck is this captcha holy shit

Since Floens, Dickcheese and Ponyfucker are all dead, in this thread we worship Dimitri for being the only faggot still doing his job, but we also throw shit at him for his questionable design choices.
My 2 cents:
Catalog search does not filter, it's just Ctrl+F
You can sort bookmarks in the bookmarks menu but not in the bookmarks swipe tab
Scrollbar is ugly and thick
Pic attachment is not I'm the reply area but it's on the opposite side of the screen
In the bookmarks tab, what's the difference between "unbookmark" and "delete"?
You can't swipe bookmarks away to unbookmark

Pls fix

If you're a James Bond it tracks Faberge eggs.

If not, it shows seconds. In timer mode it counts down seconds while inner circle counts down minutes, both blink like an explosion on beep.

Any version of Windows since 1995 has been more polished, production-ready and user-friendly than any Linux distro ever made. That's obvious to anybody who has installed both of them on the same machine.

Are Linux users just lying about their distros being a better experience than a Windows installation?

This.
Loonix is not easier to use, there's a shitton of use cases where winshit makes life much, much easier (e.g. printing), but the penguin has enough perks that it's *worth* using over windows.
You're basically choosing between malware pretending to be an OS that is absurdly unoptimized, BUT most software just works without jumping through extra hoops.
And an actual OS that doesn't need terabytes of ram and hundreds of cores to run, but with far less software and many things require more knowledge and time to do.

Don't buy anything OTHER THAN IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T, X, and W/P Series if you want the Real Business Experience™
>Other business laptops are welcome in /tpg/ (Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook)

Why ThinkPad?
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap
>Excellent keyboards, tactile feel and quiet + the TrackPoint
>Great durability: magnesium roll cage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop
>Easy to repair (most models), upgrade & maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model, spare parts easy & cheap to obtain
>Excellent Linux & *BSD support

used t/p14 gen 2 (g1 also fine), consider the 16" T/P series from the same era as well.

do not be cheap and buy an e-series of that era as they are shit on some many regards and the (usually single) type c port tends to break very easily.

Sounds to me like it's thermal throttling. Change the thermal paste and clean the fan. If it still throttles, disable the boost clock on the CPU. You MIGHT be able to do that in bios, but chances are you'll have to do it in your OS. You might even have to use coolercontrol or msi afterburner to set a custom fan profile.

The only reason anyone'd still be using Adobeslop is because they pirated it and they're too lazy to uninstall it, or the worst case scenario they're milking cows
Fact of the matter is no Adobe platform is better than its open source opponents. None. Because Adobe is pure bloatware with tons of useless shit and missing tools which should be bare fucking minimum. Each temp file takes up dozens of GBs when in other programs they barely take one. And this is just me talking about the programs themselves, not the complete scam of a subscription service offered or Adobe's constant bad choices or AI shit forced onto users

creators tend to work in teams.
that's where adobe's power lies, easy sharable projects. if you supply work files using some obscure opensource app, with gimped 'compatible' output, you won't get hired again.

figma took a huge bite from adobe.
video editing has always been fragmented between avid, final cut, premiere and resolve.
haven't seen any good after effects alternative.
>>
>>107634948
>easy sharable projects
No. What you mean to say is that Adobe bought itself a huge share of the industry through being the only option for decades (because back in the day there were less programmers and Adobe bought out any competition), and as such now every big company uses Adobe which purposefully makes its files as incompatible and inconvenient as possible in order to force people to use their proprietary trash between work and home, and since a large chunk of the populace is retarded they won't go through easy pirating and will invest in their shitty scams.
Hence it isn't "easy sharable projects", it's Adobe simply owning the industry through driving others out of business. And if a company forces me to invest in an Adobe app at home I'd rather find another job.
