>On the bright side they could then train a 70B or 300B if they aren't bankrupt
and that would get them a better small model too through distillation of their larger model
that's how the better small LLMs are made (there's a reason trained from scratch models like smollm suck dick compared to similarly sized gemma and qwen) there's no reason imagen would be different here
>>
>>107857891
Which is why everyone here used the deepseek distills when those came out, eh?
>>
>>107857896
the deepshit distill only distilled a CoT and were half assed garbage that made the models they used as a base WORSE than they originally were.
gemma models are properly distill
https://arxiv.org/html/2503.19786v1
>All Gemma 3 models are trained with knowledge distillation

>>
Distilled models only learn what their teacher model has been prompted with. Anyone in favor of distillation is a retard.

So by the time the DDR5 epyc is affordable DDR6 won't be out and DDR5 for it will cost $10k still?

You should close browser tabs when you're done with them. If you want to quickly get back to where you were, there is a separate technology for that: bookmarks.

>>

because then I need some convoluted system of
>to be read

>read but good enough to keep
>check for updates every now and then

I only use bookmarks for the last two groups
everything else is either in progress of being read or to be read

Zoomer here. I heard from my teacher today that phones used to have a slot like the sim card one where you could put in those digital camera memory sd cards in it. Why did no one complain when this happened?

I thought I'd miss microsd cards, but I really don't. They were slow and you would never swap them, only use them permanently in the phone.
What I actually miss is being able to do anything without Google's or Apple's permission. Google's photo picker is unusable and you can't replace it. Everything is getting locked down
>>
>>107849362
>I tried to buy a replacement, but every "new" battery I found was almost a decade old and they all as useless as the original one or worse after being stored for so long
For popular devices, you can easily find a chinaman who's happy to tell you a new battery rated for more capacity than the original battery. But when you get it you notice it's suspiciously lightweight, unwrap it and find a much smaller lower capacity cell with some bits of plastic or foam around it to pad it out to the required size.

IEM sounds like a good idea, but does the passive noise cancelling from seal equal to that of ANC headset? I need the noise cancelling to drown out the noise when my slampig roommate invites black men over to pound her shit

I wore the headphones for probably 14 hours each day. Would IEM get ruined by earwax from that kind of use?
>>
>>107856726
I have them. They're stiff but it's not an issue. The weight of the amp bends them into shape after a day or so.
>>
>>107857441
Not as good, no. Maybe good enough for that but who knows.

Just clean your tips every few days with alcohol wipes.
>>
>>107857441
depends how deep iem sits inside ur ear canal and if there is any went holes. But if u need iem for something like office enviroment sound isolation will be good enough, i even used my old shure se215 in buses (that was era before earbuds) and sound isolation was excellent. My current models dont have such good sound isolation due to went holes (went holes prevents pressure buildup and ear fatigue)

Valve will help Linux genuinely take over Windows over the next decade I think.
>>
>>107847504
No. OOTB experience was what Windows fans always held over the heads of Linux users as why nobody wants to use Linux. It took lots of technical knowledge and poking around to install it and make it work. Today it's less steps and faster to install Ubuntu or Mint on a new computer than it is to set up the Windows 11 the machine came preinstalled with.

Compared to installing a sane Windows like 7 fresh, Ubuntu only wins on speed because it starts installing in the background as soon as you okay the partitioning scheme, and then asks you things like your name while that happens. But in 11, Microsoft has wrecked the post-install experience with every imaginable type of enshittification as a poor cope for having gone with a rolling release so they can't sell you the next major version, and then making it essentially free.

so after almost half a decade of generative AI. investing billions in it. we got:

- expensive hardware
- content farms getting the steam engine and automating slop videos on youtube and social media
- soulless "art" that no one cares about
- boomercide of fake AI content on facebook
- more bot farms on twitter
- codemonkey peasants getting the tractor so they can produce even worse code.
- scam AI startups that rugpull and shut down after 2 months

not a single penny of profit generated
not a single usecase

I ended up generating a lot of things I wanted in a picture and basically poorly "photoshopping" them together in gimp. Is there any tool I can use to remove the poorly photoshopped bits and fix it?

It's time to mobilize and make sure the Apple Board of Directors know we want Craig Federighi as the next CEO of Apple. Tim Cook is stepping down latter this year.

IOS/Mac OS 26 has been a flop; Apple's software is stale. Apple needs an engineer as it's CEO; Apple can save consumer software and make it exciting again. Craig is eccentric and exciting just like Steve Jobs was.

Don't put a soulless MBA bean counter as Apple's next CEO that will shove LLMs down our throats.
