actual unironic waifu bots like in Detroit: Become Human?

Still pretty far away.

AI waifus who can hold conversations, and form their own personalities as they interact with you and the people around you? Thats within reach in like 10 yrs.

You'll still have to pay a subscription in order to talk to her, however.

Hey anon just wanted to say thanks for that guy's tool that is one of the best utilities I've seen in a long time. There are a couple of drivers that are kinda stuck in a "can't install" loop, but I was able to update 99% of them and all my peripherals are working way better than before, especially the media center keyboard we use when we switch the pc input over to the tv in the living room.

Hey guys I'm in a bit of a pickle and looking for some advice.

For at least a decade Honeyview has been my goto for images, until just recently when I started saving images in HEIC format. I did all the research, ran my own comparisons from shooting in RAW and checking JPEG vs HEIC and it's true, it just is the superior evolution of the lossy compression format.

So honeyview has apparently turned into paid scamware if you want HEIC support and there's allegedly privacy concerns and whatnot. I saw there's qView but my muscle memory is so ingrained with honeyview I honestly hate how little QOL features it has and lack of shortcuts.

Is there a true FOSS successor to honeyview? Should I just suck it up and learn qView?

You just got your priorities right. I had a similar journey as yours, and if it wasn't for Linux I wouldn't have my current career. However, I no longer have the time nor the mental energy to tinker around Linux. Windows LTSC IoT 10 allows me to use all my programs without having to worry until the next decade. And with wsl I can run every kind of cli tool without having to dual boot or spinning a vm.

Skyrim with mods doesn't work on Linux?
>>
>>107734112
I recently switched from Windows to Linux (Fedora), and I have to say it still isn't close enough for regular person's use.

For instance, I had several cases of total OS hangup due to 100%ing my RAM. That never happened on Windows because it comes with pagefile set up, and Windows seems to deal with maxed out RAM more gracefully in general.

Setting up a pagefile on Linux isn't difficult or anything, but it does require you to launch terminal, google/ask AI what commands are needed... also you need to install a program "neveroom" (or something like that) that will prevent Linux from locking up even if RAM+pagefile are both 100%d, and it somehow doesnt come preinstalled on a desktop distro.

So fixing the problem already demands of you to have a certain level of knowledge about computers. Normies won't deal with this shit. Linux is great but honestly the "normie friendly" distros still don't get it.
>>
>>107734186
Does anyone know if Wine or whatever wrapper/compatibility layer can run 16 bit programs?

Isn't that a major point of Windows still, being able to run ancient software? Or is nu-windows unable to do this?
>>
>>107735345
That's kind of your fault for installing Fedora. You should have picked a distro that holds your hand even more. When Linux users advocate Linux to tech illiterates, they should always recommend distros that are very friendly to tech illiterates and do everything out of the box.
