Which jew pushed the flat demand theory? 20 years of no electricity grid upgrades because "demand" was "flat" despite hundreds of industries leaving the country and tens of thousands of entrepreneurs locked out of innovation.

A country NEEDS cheap electricity to be competitive. Right now young Americans are looking at China with ENVY because they have access to opportunities that young Americans can only dream of.

Perfectly timed for solar to become cheaper than coal/oil/gas. Whatever jew it was was a genius.

Is it worth getting into 3d printing?
it looks like a cool hobby but I don't know if people just forget about it after playing around for a month
>>
>>107629041
It's nice for Xmas since I can just use it to make the plastic crap that people love, without feeding the capitalist machine to much.
>>
>>107629041
>FDM
modern FDM printers seem a lot more user friendly but the low end printers of yesteryear were real pieces of shit and it took a lot of effort to get a good print. Kind of tempted to buy a new printer to see if it's as nice as the youtube shills say. One modern downside is the amount of AI Slop all over platforms like thingiverse. Designing stuff yourself and printing it can be fun and cool, but finding fun/useful designs is slightly a pain in the ass now. Modern filaments like PLA are safer... sort of.
>Resin SLA
it's so much fucking work you have no idea, and you will almost certainly make a mistake with safety and poison yourself eventually. Most people who get into resin do it to counterfeit plastic model kits and it ends up either not saving that much money or causing a lot of other problems. If you have a garage or workshop with industrial ventilation and are willing to spend on proper PPE and be disciplined, go for it, but it's not a good thing to get into casually like FDM printing PLA filaments.
>>
>>107629041
I use 3D printing frequently but I'm pretty into racing cars which requires a lot of part fabrication. Usually how it goes is there will be a few months of the printer being cold and completely unused then a week of it running prints 24/7 as I make a part over and over again.

>>107629107
I do this too.
>>
If you have other DIY hobbies is extremely useful, as a hobby into itself I don't know, you get tired of printing plastic trinkets eventually.

What the fuck is the point of these high resolution smartphone camera sensors and why does everyone use them?

The digital zoom argument doesn't make sense as most if not all phones with high res main cameras also have telephoto cameras, and the ones that don't have telephoto cameras usually have hardware that's too weak to process all those pixels. Better image quality in daylight also doesn't make sense as these sensors aren't designed to output at full resolution and demosaicing algorithms vary wildly from OEM to OEM. Better image quality at night doesn't make sense either as you could get the exact same results with a traditional 12MP sensor that's something like 1/1.3" compared to a 50MP sensor of the same size because you're already getting the large (relatively) individual pixel size from the jump instead of having to bin a bunch of pixels to get there. Is it just bigger number better marketing? Maybe it has its uses on actual cameras but I don't see the point on phones.
>>
>>107629065
>Is it just bigger number better marketing?
it's precisely that, yeah.
>Maybe it has its uses on actual cameras but I don't see the point on phones.
not really, no. on ACTUAL cameras (read: mirrorless cameras) where the sensors are larger than your pinky nail you're gonna struggle to find any meaningful improvement above 20mp (canon sells new flagship 30mp cameras that are virtually indistinguishable in quality from decade-old 16mp olympus midrangers)

No one cares this is a smartphone general, not a camera general. If Hollywood professionals from huge multimillion productions use a iPhone to make films I could care less what some random anon has to say against the experts. Regardless of the professional use many people use them to take photos for businesses both small and huge. The smartphone camera is here to stay. Digital cameras are always going to be around for higher quality jobs done by professionals that take photos of sports, animals, nature etc. so I understand what you mean about the sensors.

A woman I work with whom I really like won't date me because I use Firefox.

Apparently, her ex boyfriend was on the down-low and banging dudes behind her back. She had no idea that her boyfriend was bi or gay.

The way she found out is when she opened his laptop and Firefox was already opened up to a gay hookup site (probably Grinder?). She now thinks Firefox is some type of browser for men that like men.

I met this woman though work, and one of the first things she asked me when I was able to convince her to go to lunch with me (once) is what browser am I using. She got really quiet when I said Firefox.

She messaged me later to explain all the aforementioned stuff about her ex, and that Firefox is a huge issue for her.

I don't really know how to get her to believe that I'm 100% straight even though I use Firefox. I thought about bringing my personal laptop to work with hetero porn open in Firefox, but the risk of getting caught and losing my job is too great.

Thoughts?

JFK didn't accomplish anything. Didn't even serve 1 term before inting. He doesn't deserve the praise he gets, doesn't deserve any coins or airports. Growing up in USA public schools, you would think JFK was one of the most important Presidents, he's lauded like Washington or Lincoln but the dude accomplished nothing except stealing one election and dying

>Obama = Ubuntu
Fits not because of the tagline, but because both were community-oriented and focused on accessibility and openness.

>macOS = Kennedy
Also fits because both were mostly about aesthetics and marketing and Kennedy came from an elite background just as macOS is sponsored by a trillion dollar corporation. “Not everyone could afford it” doesn't make sense for the macOS-Kennedy comparison though. What does “Not everyone could afford Kennedy” even mean?

>Windows 95 = Reagan
Windows 95 sold personal computing to the masses just as Reagan sold conservatism to the masses. Both also had very enthusiastic fans and memorable marketing. That's why they fit together. While had memory issues (kek), neither were best known for that and are still viewed favorably in the public eye.

>MS-DOS = Jackson
Lots of OS's have no GUI. Why does MS-DOS in particular suit Jackson?

>Windows XP = Eisenhower
"Boring and stable" describes Windows 2000 more than XP. XP had the Luna theme, Rover the search companion, and Windows Movie Maker. "Won't leave" is accurate for XP though. Eisenhower still had lots of supporters decades after leaving office just as Windows XP still had lots of users decades after being released. "I still like Ike."

Nope, I have maybe 7 Pi 0Ws in a drawer and maybe 2 of the Pi 3s. At one point I really did use almost all of them: I treated them as low power single purpose machines: NAS, DNS, Jellyfin, reverse proxy, and multiple websites. It made sense when it was just 2 or 3 things because the Pi 0W uses like 2 W of power. But now I use proxmox for all that.
