OP nord 5 or poco F7?

Poco F7 seems better in every way besides Xiaomi's shitty chinkware software.

No, he’s extra paranoid. What he was trying to say is that if the tv has wifi antennas it can make a stealth connection to unsecured neighbours network. TV manufacturers could also theoretically install wifi cracker software in the tv and force a stealth connection. This is a bit ridiculous tho.

Not true. Ubuntu fucking sucks because of Snaps. I know, I KNOW, I can download deb version of Steam but Ubuntu inherently ships with a broken software store - why should I support that? Instead I should use a distro that has functioning apps in the store.

Snaps are too secure, cool on paper but sucks in practice. I had to use a VPN to join lobbies on MH World because of Steam Snap, don't ask me why VPN worked (didn't have to use VPN on Mint). Games constantly freeze if you enter settings (especially on Deadlock). It takes around 10 minutes to load into Deep Rock Galactic on LTS and 25.10 Ubuntu because of Steam Snap (takes 3 seconds on Mint).

Yeah, why the fuck should I support Ubuntu when they ship with broken stuff. Fuck Snaps. Genuinely. I tried Ubuntu last week and suddenly got directx12 and 11 errors (didn't happen on Mint).

I was half joking.
Sure, reverse engineering the engine would be a real head scratcher.
But you can consider most games as engines tho.
It's way easier to replace textures, models and levels than modifying how the engine works.

I want to, but it seems like it'd unfortunately be a logistical nightmare to make all the content and shit for. If I do make a lifesim, I'm considering doing something different than strictly "the sims".
Maybe something like Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon but more "mature" in theming idk

"Innovation", and it's actually just materials that have been around forever, most likely used in other keyboards and switches at some point, and the switches feel 99% similar to previous ones because muh linear or everyone aping pandas/u4ts. That or making your switches look like little toys that have tranny colors.
What's that? Different mechanisms to produce tactility or clicks? Trying to recreate other switches in MX form? Pressuring shitty companies to fix their software so people don't have to rely on QMK or VIA?
>"NOOOOO I don't want that, I just wanna buy more snake oil meme tech and faggy colored switches and boards that remove dedicated keys to emulate us lopping off our genitalia, YASSSS KWEEN!"

YOOOOOO creamythoccccccness is so heckin' epic!!!!!!! Surely there isn't 10 billion other switches and board combinations that sound the exact same!!!! Ironic that someone cries about cherry and saminess while refusing to acknowledge not a single one of these switches sounds or feels different to any others made in the last 10 years because, again, they're all linears or aping pandas/u4ts lol
>muh lube muh springs oohhhhhhh the ping OHHHHHH THE PING OHHHH THE WOBBLE
This is the bad kind of autism.
>>
Very cheap sale on these linears from Deskhero (Canadian vendor)

https://www.deskhero.ca/products/mauve-linear-switch

I happen to have some that I got as "mystery switches" from Cannonkeys and they seem perfectly fine. Can't detect any spring ping, pretty smooth, not a lot of wobble. Seems like an acceptable switch, and it's priced cheaper than dirt cheap Gaterons. (Probably not cheaper after shipping, however.)

They do take well to filming (like the listing says), I just tried putting a film in one and it felt snug but not overly snug when I closed the housing. I don't know if it will make a difference to sound because I haven't actually tried putting these in a keyboard (I don't do linears), but it should be an improvement.

Never has a single text adventure I've played has ever asked what I want to do. If you've played any of them, be it any of the multiple engines that exist, you know that you read a body of text, investigate bolded words or otherwise and are never coaxed into your next action. The average human being now can't focus on "what should I do next" without being immediately prefaced with it, which is irritating
That all aside, it does read better than the average output of any usual model I bother testing, but it still sucks

Choosing privacy over telemetry is not 'tribalism' it's basic digital hygiene. Some people just want a tool, not a corporate informant. You’ll regret that convenience the second you realize you have zero agency over what your machine is actually broadcasting back to base.

windows from a /diy/ perspective is absolutely fucking abysmal. I have things ive made in my house that are held together with bent nails from 20 years from before i knew how to swing a hammer properly that still get used to this day. The only modifications ever made were to make them stronger or fix them when ive broken them.
I will never understand this retarded need to fix shit that isnt broken, moreover, updating and making it worse and needlessly making it more complicated than it was before. Every single day i thank God i ended up not taking a dev/software focus line of work when i was younger. I fucking hate the fact that finished software practically doesnt exist anymore and you are at the whim of some pajeet or faggot with a perma gaped asshole not to at the very least aesthetically ruin something thats just fine to justify their job.
windows is touted as just werks but the second anything actually goes wrong you are met with a byzantine nightmare with no real support to actually get things back to normal because of how twisted the system is and the increasingly aggressive nature of microshart to push you out of the insides of whats /supposed/ to be your computer.

Yes, they have a linear bass response. It's not boosted though, it's just flat.

No. HD800s has too much treble if anything. LCD-X has far too little. 2-5k is underemphasized. It's a great headphone once properly EQ'd but if you plan to use it stock, don't. There are $100 headphones with a far better stock frequency response. Audeze itself knows that which is why they supply you(used to, anyway) with a program that has built in EQ presets to fix the frequency response of their models.

It's more likely the grease in the VCR had gummed up from old age causing it to run too slow and not track properly

The same happened with mine when I tried it a few years ago, artifacts and funny audio, let it run half an hour with a trash tape and then it was running ok (after a few more minutes a RIFA filter capacitor exploded, repaired and it works again)
