Check out my voxel engine anons. Written in C++ using OpenGL. Infinite world in every direction, including up and down. Not even close to complete yet, but I'm proud of what I've done so far.
>>107853095You're just jealous of our special relationship. GPT-mini-me is an extension of myself and everything it makes is something I made. Thanks to the power of AI, I have ascended. I am a creative god.

>>107853050>I'm just not reading it because it's just not relevant.<I'm not reading anything that might have to make me reconsider my positionSo scared of cognitive dissonance aren't you? And, again, you need not read anything. The description of the technique I gave you is absolutely sufficient for this argument. But you are a nocoder, and can't actually argue anything technical on the subject.>I see you take a lot of pride in your (likely marginal) ability to understand something that, by your own admission, is trivial.Lets see you try explain or even understand PND3D. Not happing lmao, nobody on /g/ understands how it works. Besides me.
>>107853119>The description of the technique I gave you ...Who cares what you say? You're a retard. For all I know, everything you said is completely wrong. But for the sake of whatever stupid argument you're desperate to make, I'll agree whatever it's doing is voxel rendering, on account of it (presumably) drawing the volumetric data without resorting to modeling surfaces using polygons. What now?
>>107853162>drawing the volumetric dataIt doesn't either draw it directly. You have to find the visible voxels from the volume, and send them as points to the GPU. Just like Minecraft has to cull out visible faces from a volume, and send them as quads to the GPU. It's not really any different, there's just no polygons involved.

>>107853060You get a logprob with each possibility so you just combine those to get the total sequence prob. From there you can implement your own temperature/samplers/etc (strictly speaking beam search is keeping top K possibilities at each depth). My goal is more to explore the space for ideas, so I keep all beams at each depth above a (very very low) probability threshold and then present all options to the user ordered by prob for them to choose from. Probably stupid to do, but it's also fun and seems to work well enough. It's like google autocomplete, looking to see what the model thinks the user will be asking it based on instruct training when the context is just something like "Why does the" as the user input and no end of turn token. Its why I have a modes that turns the whole "chat" into just concatenated text for use with base models for fiction writing, but can switch to an instruct to force it to write certain passages or generate ideas or whatever.>>107853137Ignorance is bliss.

I time (bathroom) stall a fucking lot with this one. (because I can).Have started to 'lock in' with tech job search / upskilling, will probably take several months to reach a level that (((employers))) will view me as good enough for an entry level position (white male with no network so playing on Dark Souls mode).>I strongly regret spending my late teens - early twenties getting a swe degree
Other than for storing videos and photos taken with your phone, is there a reason to even need more than 256GB on a phone? People with more than 256GB, what do you use your extra capacity for not including the videos and photos you take with it?

Besides the fact that its low powered and cute n tiny. Whats the advantage of buying a raspberry pi for $160 versus buying something like a used hp elitedesk g3 for less than $100? Why pay more for less computing power? Besides people out there living off the grid trying to conserve power, i dont understand the point of these things
>>107852776They were made for a world that wasn't plagued by shitty manufacturing shortages. A low-end-2005-desktop tier pi made sense when they went for 50 bucks.
>>107852803Whats the purpose for it? Im looking on youtube now and it seems you can control leds and other small little trinkets but idk what thats useful for. Dont really see anyone using the gpio for anything practical
>>107852776Low power is the biggest selling point, the other one is GPIO pins.
>>107853043cause those are youtube demos. you'd use them just like you would use a microcontroller's gpio stuff. i use a similar sbc to control my vivarium's temp/fans and control a webcam feed as well as capture that video, encode it and push it to my NAS every night. this use both the gpio and cpu/gpu.
>>107853043If i were to buy a woodworking kit and then complain that it doesn't have any uses cause i don't woodwork. I'd obviously get called a retard. This is similar. If you buy a board for prototyping or running low power computing tasks you don't get to complain that it doesn't have uses if you never wanted to do either.
