I've watched mods deal with this kind of thing before, there'd be no point, nobody has time to clean up this amount of schizospam.
The only real course of action is to meme it until everyone is aware that it is indeed a bot, and stops getting distracted by it, at which point it will either be auto filtered by everyone or the troon running it will give up and go back to plebbit.

>>107671880
That was not my gen, and idk what NBP means, but it was clearly inpainted, so it's good enough to use as a pic unrelated reaction image on an image board, right?
There's no rule against that, right?

Any version of Windows since 1995 has been more polished, production-ready and user-friendly than any Linux distro ever made. That's obvious to anybody who has installed both of them on the same machine.

Are Linux users just lying about their distros being a better experience than a Windows installation?

Still waiting for an answer btw
>>
>>107668205
Well around the W10 shitshow I showed 3 family members various options so they didn’t have to buy a new laptop. Linux, chromeOS or ESU. They all asked variations of: can I still use onedrive/word/outlook? The answer is no. So two bought new midrange laptops and one opted for ESU. Point is that most people don’t have time/energy to waste on computers and just want to use the damn thing.
>>
>>107621970
Maybe before Windows 8 that was true. After that we got forced telemetry and updates, and also inconsistent GUI for some reason. So now Linux is better, for you have control of your system.
>>
>>107631981
Corporations are beholden to shareholders so they'll cut corners, sell your data and avoid disclosing security flaws whenever possible to increase margins
Meanwhile in FOSS land you have thousands of autists scrutinizing obscure libraries for fun or on Red Hat payroll

>So now Linux is better, for you have control of your system.
hasn't this always been the case?
OP is saying the Windows experience is better, which it undoubtedly is.

>3000 data centres going up in the US
>it's going to affect everybody
Damn. And these data centres are an extremely raw deal for local. At least if Amazon comes in they'll hire a thousand. These data centres won't. They'll ship in a dozen Indians and run it with a skeleton crew.

And the locals we be subsiding them and their utility bill will go up hundreds of dollars. Utility bills go up 2x, sometimes 3x

If you got one of these data centres your local government fucked you over big time. Low ping with ChatGPT is all you get lmao. What happened with GPUs and RAM price will happen to your electric and water bill. And if you have a well it'll get run dry
>>
>>107670380
and will the users eventually get cheap GPUs because of the massive amount of them driving the price down?
No.
The normal people will get their money stolen when they tax them to bail out the big stupid companies because apparently normal people are the safety cushion for big companies gambling and being retarded.

bought an older XP computer cause I wanted an older machine to just own, I like the look of the old computer cases and wanted something that could run some old programs and cd-roms, didn't feel like emulating on my main pc.

anyway my problem is I'm struggling to make out some of these parts, and also what to do in regards of if I need to add anything else to it.

I'm gonna have to post like 5 comments under this with all the screenshots......

I was thinking about this for some time, renewable is a joke, nuclear is too expensive, hydro isn't available everywhere and cause problems with downstream countries
Oil and Gas as energy sources are
>Scalable
>Cheap and abundant
>The price of a power station is dirt cheap
>Less variables that can reduce the output
>Tech can be improved to reduce pollution
Other alternatives are just failing to meet one or most of these criteria
The US current attempt to change Venezuela gov is a public declaration that alternatives have mostly failed and at best just reduced the need for gas and oil by small margins

How do they have so many packages? Do they compromise on security?
>>
>>107670009
They're auto generated and nix has tooling to pull directly from git. Look at the build scripts they're all the same.
>>
Most of the packages don't actually work since they auto generate most of them and don't do any code review or testing. They focus on quantity over quality in order to attract new users with the sheer number of packages.
>>
>>107670009
>Do they compromise on security?
Yes, they don't give a fuck about security. Last time when I checked their VIAL's derivation, they made an installation step that creates a udev rule that opens HIDRAW that lets anyone, at any given time, to write anything to your keyboard's firmware (like a malware or a keylogger). Which is the most naive and lazy way about doing this.

I use QubesOS with detached boot partition on 2 duplicated USB drives with any data that rests on the SSD/HDDs being encrypted with LUKS2. Whonix gateway is proxied through a VPN qube to hide Tor IPs (can't hide communication patterns) without bridges since bridge IPs can be farmed. Sometimes Tor through I2P outproxy or vice-versa or with different anonymizing network overlays. Clients used for browsing are only opened in on-RAM ephemeral qubes with no access to permanent storage. Attack surface is quite minimum since no extra things added like USB mouse and no PV qubes (aside from sys-usb and sys-net) are used for launching HVM qubes with qemu stub domains unless very necessary and every other qube on the system gets shut down first to keep information leakage minimum. A veracrypt volume with hidden storage on a permanent qube for data storage and plausible deniability.

what's your setup like?

I kinda feel like men mature slower than women and that the whole 18yo cutoff is kinda dumb, especially since most girls are taller than boys and enter puberty much sooner. Why not simply put it into categories that are more logical, if we have 24 hours, you should split ages into more logical terms like
>0-6, 6-12
babbies / children = no no relationships
>12-18, 18-24
teens / young adults = normal relationships between both groups, especially men on right category and women on left category being together due to discrepancies in maturity
>24-30, 30-36
adults, similar to past category
>36....
etc

I see no reason why it's considered pedoshit to have a 18-24yo guy date a 16-17yo girl, as women in general find men that are from 2-7 years older than them more attractive due to more life experience, confidence, wealth, and generally progressed puberty and developed physical features. while men traditionally always valued youth and innocence in women and mostly wanted to protect it, you'd have so much less anger in society and degeneracy if couples were more natural in that way.

>>
>>107671848
>12-18 is already legal in europe

>>
>>107671848
Not sure if 12-18 is actually legal in Europe, but it's definitely not considered socially acceptable, if you're even a 18yo guy dating a 12yo you'd probably get your ass beat and get socially ostracized and humiliated. Society just hates sensitive young men and assume all men are evil creeps that want to abuse women, there's a reason that all nationalism is based on protect our hecking women, or anti-immigration on protect our hecking girls, or pro-war shit on protect our hecking women and motherland, while they refuse to let sensitive young men date women that are more compatible with them, instead men have to match with fatigued and frustrated women their age who should be dating a guy at least 5+ years older than them already and being knocked up by him instead of pretending to enjoy partying and going out every night and wagecucking while seething at your life being shit and men being pigs.

Anyone one running sunshine/moonlight server?
I have this weird problem.
I have sunshine server running on my main machine (installed from the github repo) and it's on wayland.
I have moonlight client installed from flatpak on another machine and it's running on X11.
I can connect to the server, but I just get black screen, I tried using different client so I use moonlight on my android phone and it could connect just fine.
So what's the problem? I can't see any error messages in the logs to even start solving it.
The problem started after the latest kernel and mesa update.
Could it be hardware related?
>>
>>107669484
ECC ram isn't required for ZFS to maintain it's integrity, blocks are checksummed in memory as well as on the disk. It just helps prevent software instability due to failing ram or sunspots etc. If your ram is so bad its flipping bits, the data you are trying to write would be polluted before it gets written.

Scrubbing is intensive as it has to re-checksum every block, so if a drive is failing it could increase the damage on that disk. Its gonna fail the pool again if this starts happening?

I would say the pools are not scrambled, unless you have been replacing drives (more than the max fail count) and running the zfs commands to do that, before its rebuild the volumes.

ZFS drives get tagged with the pool info, so you can put the drives back in any position and it should figure out where they go. You need to figure out whats wrong with the hardware, get that sorted, then you can get the pools running again. You could even put them in a different computer and import the pools on that.

ZFS is pretty good with all this stuff.

>layman's why
CPU needs electricity to be pushed into its circuits to function. Voltage is one component of measuring the "power" of the electricity going in. Reduce the voltage, reduce the power, reduces the waste heat produced. You can't just turn it down all the way to zero obviously since there will not be enough energy for the CPU to function properly, hence the potential of causing it to crash. But since it is a lack of energy that causes the crashes it is not dangerous, as opposed to pushing too much energy through the circuits and causing it to meltdown.

all silicon needs a certain amount of voltage to work at each frequency step like picrel. removing that voltage forces the transistors to use less power but comes with the risk of them not switching fast enough to maintain that frequency. when that happens, the error detection mechanism in your cpu halts the system to prevent data corruption which is where you'd see the blue screen of death

I really like it, much better than the snow sky, I can actually find music easily without having to click buttons for 1 minute.
Rockbox is great, EQ works perfectly, lots of small QOL settings, it works great on the y1 - I've had 0 issues, I made my own theme based off of iMMX (just inverted it basically)
The built in 3.5mm is satisfactory, I did wish it got a bit louder but I was able to resolve that by just removing the -2.5 preamp on the eq I'm using.
Battery life looks good so far - I have enabled airplane mode though so YMMV; the Bluetooth on this is trash which doesn't really bother me since I don't have any TWS/bt pos.
I already love this lil guy like you wouldn't believe, once you put in an hour or two of setup work it's well worth it and feels very comfy/personalized.
