>webp is 8-bit only
>avif converts to yuv so not truly lossless

16-bit lossless png bros, are we ever going to evolve?
>>
>>107704398
It's simple, just move to jpeg-xl for personal files.
And webp for the web till jpeg-xl gets supported online.
>But that's too much
On the web right now we have gif,jpg and png as a standard.
>>
You don't move to any one format, recently it has come to my attention that png sometimes completely beats both webp and jpeg-xl in lossless mode.

This is very rare and occurs mostly in high frequency noise, mostly incompressible images anyway
More realistic performance is closer to this

>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included. You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your track.
Use of AI is banned. This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is already a no-no.

As a Linux user, there is a caveat there. You need AMD GPU. When I used Nvidia GPU, lots of things did not just work including games like starsector. Needed a workaround to run.
With AMD they do just work, it's very hard compared to Nvidia to find broken things.

For some reason with computers people forget how to check things let alone learn things, so they'll always be frustrated that them and the developer can't read each other's minds. Never happened with a vacuum cleaner.

Nobody said there's a problem with how you approach video games

The problem arises when you demand the games be changed to accomodate you

Because when you care so much about improving you will naturally sink much more time and investment into a game than anyone else, meaning you're more easily exploited for profit by the game's developers. Because of this those developers are more likely to listen to you despite being a minority, thus enshittifying the game for the majority of players
>>
This is why I play execution light, planning heavy games like dot-nah I'm just fucking with you, Dota is dead

The problem is that biobots somehow condition themselves into getting dopamine spikes from shallow abstractions which inevitably devolves into increasingly more degenerate behaviors when simply winning is not enough, or, god forbid, when you hit your ceiling and start losing.

>What is the problem with finding joy in wining?

I might be retarded so please explain. If the bubble pops, the fed would lower interest rates to stimulate the economy, right? Yields for bonds would probably go up to attract foreign investment, right? So if you’re in T-bills, aren’t you pretty safe? I must be missing something because I thought that government bonds were rather safe here.

>>107704623
The interest rate the federal reserve sets isn't the interest rate you get from bonds.
The latter is simply a matter of supply and demand: a government or company wants to borrow money and investors will lend them that money but only for an interest rate they deem worthwhile.

Problem is if the fed lowers their interest rate inflation increases so your "safe" 3% bonds might devalue 5% per year from inflation (leaving you with 3%-5% = -2% in real terms).

Many workplaces won't allow it to begin with wether due to laws or contracts or seniority issues and some corporations are so big your boss likely don't get to decide if they can throw those extra hours on you without losing hours they'll need elsewhere.
If your your own boss then lol it doesn't fucking matter because it's your money and your clients and you know if you can afford to do it or not.

It could if Valve added color cameras. Instead they decided to make those an optional upgrade. That's why the front extension port is usable either as PCIe or as high speed MIMI aka a camera protocol.

Sounds good. Some configuration stuff is yet to be exposed since I just use everything default but in general if you don't mind exposing what's missing yourself and pushing a PR for certain things it should be fine/easy. I'll include a small guide on writing extensions.
>Imo there's no point to org-mode outside of emacs, the 2 are too deeply connected, the benefits are too small compared to the amount of work required.
I'm still going to have something similar with markdown, kinda like markdown-flavored org mode, but that's later down the line. I've been thinking of just writing an extensive note/organization API that's language agnostic and then adding a markdown/org frontend for it, but I'm not enough of an org mode poweruser to dedicate all that time to it..
