>Valve quietly pouring tons of money into KDE/wayland in preparation for steam machine and for future OS release
>Screen sharing just werks
>Gaming on Wine Wayland only is going to be stable by mid 2026 to late 2027 replacing xwayland entirely and any x11 protocols
>Linux programs will transition to being developed for Wayland first class
>first class support for HDR, flicker free VRR, multi monitor support, fractional scaling.

The future of the Linux desktop is here! Linux is finally going to be modern and beat windows 11.

I want to like Wayland and leave X11 behind but there's too many issues and Wayland folks see it as an attack if anyone brings them up instead of simply fixing them. Wayland is pretty old itself now. It should be close to perfect and not have the stability of a research project. Even shit like Obsidian has endless issues with Wayland, which are all blamed on Electron instead of Wayland, even though it works perfect on X11.

First, Aliexpress is a market for e-waste slop. Coupons and coins expire and PR1 is pretty good and every collection should have one. I had $360 in coins accumulated over the course of a year and I lost like $40. I buy nice things under $20. I can afford $500 bullshit without coins, but why? Especially when IEM tech hasn't even peaked yet. Big spenders getting mogged by Kunten, etc. Nothing was wasted. It's fun to PEQ different shitbuds.

ok

Lmms sometimes crashes, what a pain to see,
On Ubuntu it's a struggle, but on Debian, I'm free.
Sound waves in the air, my rhythm's feeling right,
But when that crash hits hard, it ruins my night.

Oh, tech's a fickle friend, never plays it straight,
Ubuntu's got its quirks, oh, I can't relate.
Where's my melody? I just wanna play,
But Debian's smooth sailing, let me groove today.

LightDM's giving trouble, black screen after log,
On Ubuntu it's a mystery, feels like a fog.

Serious question
How do you unironically convince people to start using XMPP (any server)?
It seems that if the goyim dont see an ad for something on TV or on shittok their brain just isnt able to fully consider it as a real option.

he also says repeatedly labor costs in america are why this doesn't exist here which means these people get paid burger flipper wages at best, probably worse, for high skilled, tedious, damaging to your health work
I also highly doubt these kinds of extensive modifications have a lot of durability or lack of problems
Reusing hardware and giving the finger to corporations is cool but don't forget how much of a shithole filled with starving sweatshop workers china actually is
the whole country is about cutting corners and that includes treating people and safety as expendable

installing additional memory is far more than slapping chips on, the whole electrical delivery needs to be modded too which means you have to source the right components for the job but modders usually use cheap aliexpress bulk components instead, which will fry the memory and core within months.

Yep. I remembered my Redmi not 8 Pro. Flagship soc performance for 200€. Even the poco f1 for 300 with an actual flagship soc. Those were peak budget times. Those day are over sadly. Won't even bother with budget phones anymore. So many good deals on flagships these days. You could get an S25 base model for 300 with a phone plan not long ago in my country

I would guess it's just coincidence. Even if you show up in her people you may know, think about the people in your people you may know section. Have you assumed that all 8 of them are stalking your account hard? Probably not.
You might have that account setting that lets people reveal your name for a fee. Make sure that's switched off. Other than that it's no big deal most likely.
Besides, as long as your account doesn't say GOONER at GATHERING IMAGES FOR GOONING LLC what's the issue? People look at each others accounts on that site. It's the point of the site.

Windows sometimes changes my monitor from 4k/160hz to 60hz and I don't always immediately notice. Can I automate setting it to 160hz on boot somehow?
>>
I just want to take this W10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 (21H2) ISO, run it's setup, and then have it on my system.

I am having a heck of a time, been trying for several days. I feel like I have tried everything a few times. I've already done all the early search engine results, even stooped to following freakin videos today. I think the first thing I did was follow whatever is on the /fwt/ OP but those didn't work. I know I tried registry editing a few different ways. Also running the ISO's setup successfully but then it asks for a product key, so I MAS but that does nothing because MAS thinks I still have my original version so tells me "lol you already have a key for your original one dumbass". I am honestly getting pretty lost by following so many different guides and even trying to mix methods, and feeling pretty worn out by failing so many times.
Anybody have any guidance?

#define __NR_rt_sigaction        13

https://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man2/sigaction.2.html

you can tell, just by looking at the length of the man page, that this is a complicated one. go ahead and read https://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man7/signal.7.html as well, to get yourself up to speed, if you're not already familiar. god, this topic is so complex, i'm really not even sure what to put in this blurb. there is certainly a lot of room for discussion of signals in general, so maybe we'll go with that.
oh, i guess this part is also interesting
>The new system call takes a fourth argument, size_t sigsetsize, which specifies the size in bytes of the signal sets in act.sa_mask and oldact.sa_mask
because they kept fucking themselves over by hardcoding things, over time the linux kernel developers started making more of their syscalls take a variable input (often via a pointer to a struct) alongside its expected size. clever optimization on their end

man7 page for signal(2) has this wonderful line:
typedef typeof(void (int))  *sighandler_t;

which replaces the older line
typedef void (*sighandler_t)(int);

which I think was more readable, desu.
Both are admittedly more readable than the old
void (*signal(int, void (*)(int)))(int);
>>
>>107880368
any time you're doing typedefs of function signatures, readability is going to be a little bit difficult
