I choose to believe what you're saying, because it makes a lot more sense. However, I'd add that even if they did release a more generic version of it, it would not support nvidia.

Words can have multiple meanings, retard, it's not incorrect to call SteamOS Linux because ultimately it's just a fork of Arch Linux.

It doesn't matter cause like another Anon said, the work Valve is putting into improving Linux gaming is benefiting all distros anyway.

I've been wondering the same thing and especially so now. The market is ripe, someone should decided to become a winner. It might sincerely be that easy despite everyone saying how impossible it is. Even if it's not easy, surely it is worth doing.

I need 5 sticks of ram today for my existing software and I will need 5 sticks of ram tomorrow for another one, will you promise to sell them to me at this price at the time I need them? And don't let anyone else have them, we have a deal. Thanks.

Something like that.
To be specific "when is the future" is likely some term of agreement they have, either a fixed date and price or something negotiable, only they would know.

>>
>>107835705
Yes, that's exactly what is going to happen. Chink products have the reputation of being low quality. Selling a couple of ram sticks will not change that. As soon as more reliable brands are available people will start buying from them.

Try reflector. It seems useful for automatically retrieving the fastest and up-to-date mirror and replacing the old mirror-list for it:

Kubuntu for normies coming from windows 11. I daily drive kubuntu because it just werks.

It's the only serious linux windows 11 competitor. You can use snaps, flatpaks or ubuntu packages in a clean, fast, sleek interface.

When SteamOS comes out as a desktop ISO we'll see people switch more but you can switch right now for a great windows 11 competitor.

KDE is the only serious windows 11 alternative on linux and they fix desktop bugs relatively quickly with a big dev team so its pretty good.
>>
Might be an unpopular opinion but windows 11 is basically the same shit as 10. With the exception of a few irritations like the shitty right-click, explorer, notepad, it's the same OS. No one who liked 10 should have a problem using 11.
By now, KDE is genuinely better at being a DE but the trash in windows is a decent trade for being able to use basically all hardware and software in common use without tweaking.

FAQ:
>How do I activate Windows?
HWID2 generates and registers a permanent legitimate license on MS's activation servers
github.com/massgravel/Microsoft-Activation-Scripts
Usage: paste this into Powershell, run.

Same link, select Ohook option
You can also use Office.com if your needs are very minimal
or try OnlyOffice/LibreOffice and set it to save in MSOffice file formats

What's the best way to run a Linux VM on Windows 11?
>>
Quick question: does Windows 11 still wake all disks ~3 times an hour like 10 does? Or did they fix it?

t. wanna use Windows Storage Spaces as my NAS. It fits every single one of my requirements, it's the perfect fit for what I want...except for the waking drives problem. That is just gonna wear out the HDDs prematurely.
>>
>>107837285
I think every time you access the file explorer it'll wake the disks if they're connected. Either disconnect them or try to find a solution bcs I think that's the default behavior still. I used W11 only for a bit during 23H2 so it might've changed in 24H2 or 25H2 but I doubt it.
>>
>>107836415
I've always just used Virtualbox and it's worked fine. There's even guest addition packages in Arch that you install and enable its service and it feels like a real PC in the VM.
>>
>>107836415
Hyper-V works fine

You could also reset an android device to factory settings and use that to create a clean google account (yes, it's an oxymororn, I know, I know...)
Not sure if it still works, used to work in 2018

Im confused why anyone thinks proton mail or gmail or any email could be secure?
Email is not a secure protocol.
Never use it for things you need private. Even if your email goes to a blackhole, the sender still has it.

I was going to put this on gitgud due to my disdain for Microslop, but there were requests for me to register it with MELPA too, and lo and behold they require making a PR on shithub anyway. So up it goes there:
