Your account google/youtube account will be deleted after 2 years of inactivity.
Unless
>Exceptions to this policy
>A Google Account is considered active even if it has not been used within a 2-year period if one or more of these applies:

>Your Google Account was used to make a purchase of a Google product, app, service, or subscription that is current or ongoing.
>Your Google Account contains a gift card with a monetary balance.
>Your Google Account owns a published application or game with ongoing, active subscriptions or active financial transactions associated with them. This might be a Google Account that owns an App on the Google Play store.
>Your Google Account manages an active minor account with Family Link.

If unzipping a file needed a 3060 at the bare minimum, most people would do this (Also in this scenario, both Winrar runs in the cloud, where your zipped file is also stored, and access to both is $200/mo)

We wouldn't be in this hardware pricing fiasco if babyducks didn't cling to their old hardware and instead turned it in to be crushed and melted, harvested for precious metals and remade

>didn't cling to their old hardware
So. You think that by reinforcing price gouging with purchase, the price gouging will stop?

> instead turned it in to be crushed and melted
Leaving no backup when the current fails?
And leaving no choice but to either pay the price gouge or suffer?

>harvested for precious metals and remade
It wouldn't be quite so bad if that condition was actually true. But the majority isn't worth the effort of bothering. Most of the time it's lucky to be even crushed...

A chroot is like a manual container, you would basically have to set up everything manually that other container systems do automatically for you and i dont know how you would go about setting up things like a separate or isolated network interface in a chroot.

Theres not much reason to use debian testing when you could be using sid/unstable instead. Testing updates lag behind by weeks or months while sid will always get updates much quicker.

Now that we've had smart phones for almost 19 years, what lessons have been learned about extending battery life? Meaning both extending battery life within a single charge cycle, as well as extending the lifetime usability of the battery?
>slow charging whenever possible since fast charging supposedly degrades battery
>never letting the battery get completely full, or completely empty (trying to keep it roughly below 80%, but above 20% right?)
>OLED screens that actually turn off pixels, thus saving a bit on power whenever the color black is displayed
>avoiding apps with lots of background processes that force your CPU to be constantly under load
>just having a bigger battery to begin with
anything else that we've collectively learned so far?
>>
>>107717803
basically avoid heating.
Nowadays most of it solved or got improved by more advanced tech like bigger battery capacity in smaller size/silicone carbon, better cpu power efficiency. better OS optimization, and
bypass charging, better cooling system too.
I remember greenify got obsolete because the latest android at that time already has optimized background process and constantly killing it with greenify and starting it was counterintuitive.

I remember some video game devs saying that they had trouble porting or remaking their game to a new generation console because the game had spaghetti code. They literally couldn’t figure out what the previous people coded, so it took them way more time than expected.

Nigger you don't even know what moving an object does in C++.

I know jack shit about computers, but I need a small, durable laptop for college. Ideally, it would have a long battery life, be lightweight, and survive at least five years. It's going to go through a lot of abuse, but I mostly just need it for the internet and a word processor. Maybe some light photo and video editing.

Is there anything under $250 that isn't shit? Thanks

How do I cope with the fact that I might have cockblocked myself out of a higher salary?
I had a year long internship on this corpo where they made it clear than they wanted me after stating that I was getting an offer somewhere else.
This gave me the upper hand, but the moment they asked me "How much do you expect to earn?" (this is in a different department from where I had my internship) I fucking froze and gave them an acceptable range as a junior.
Then they gave me a salary slightly above of what I asked.
This could be considered a win.
I earn slightly more than most of my former coworkers (who are data analysts while I am now an engineer), more than anybody out of my CS friend group, whilst ascending from lower to upper-middle class in my country. And all this as a recent graduate.
However, the greedy bastard inside me still wonders how much more I could have gotten.
>>
If they paid you more than you asked for then yes fucking obviously you gave a number that was way too fucking low lmao. Your coworkers are making at least 40% more than you. And don't forget your first job locks in your total wages for life since raises are incrimental.
>>
>>107718228
Another thing is that they pretty much just opened up this role with me, as there was no other guy with my established duties before. Perhaps I should have asked for more than a junior salary? The salary I got is above average for that position as a junior in my city. What can I do now?

This. I keep hearing normies saying AI is a bubble. It's the same as when normies called crypto a bubble back in 2021 when GPU prices were skyrocketing. Look at GPU prices now and it'll give you a hint at what RAM prices will be in 4 years.

>>
>>107716843
I think it's even more sophisticated than that. Companies like Microsoft that are investing into AI also have cloud gaming services.
They buy up massive amounts of computer hardware like RAM and GPUs for their AI servers so they can profit off of that, but then they also force people into using their cloud gaming services because computer hardware is so scarce. It's all so tiring bros.
