So is GrapheneOS's days numbered? Is it not worth getting a Pixel for?
>>

if there is news then post a link retard
there is like one dev on that project. if he throws in the towel and ragequits, yes its over.
likewise if google throws in the towel on the android OSP, then yes its over.

Some femboy anon posted a thread here last night talking about how tired he was of using windows 11 and linux mint wasnt working for him so he ended up swapping to windows 7.

I didn't get to ask all the questions I wanted cause he disappeared and then the thread got deleted so I'll ask them here.

1. I only have one of those shitty external optical drives since pc company's stopped being cool and removed them, that should work fine if i have the windows 7 ultimate dvd?

2.When updating drivers they all say they wont be compatible, will it just be fine to download them and use them? if not where do I go for stuff like nvidia, amd, and other drivers I need?

3. apps like steam and others that say they don't work on windows 7, how do I get them to work? i'm a bit confused on everything.

I probably have a few more questions but I can't think of them right now and I have to get to work so I'll only be able to check this thread every now and then, thanks for any of the help

Install Gentoo. Or whatever flavor of *nix is best for the job or most comfy for you. Jellyfin/Emby/Plex to replace Netflix, Nextcloud to replace Googlel, Ampache/Navidrome to replace Spotify, the list goes on. Look at the awesome self-hosted list and ask.

this is why i hope for continual republican administrations. the only momentum we can get behind tech ethics is from anti rightists. which if that has to be the case, fine. i think tech politics are more important that any other social issues or world events since they dictate the future and mold of everything else to come.

if tech issues really do settle into definite partisan ideological lines, and i have to be a leftist, then imo that means "room" for me in leftism again, which there should be (but sadly there just isnt right too theres too much bulshit, but if the left really starts exclusively enveloping this stuff i would be able to suppress whatever other reservations i have, whatever that may mean for my life)

oh, well thats fine then. but you def dont need dithering nor deband grain (you know that part). so save yourself some cycles in mpv.conf:

dither-depth=no (redundant with previous dither=no)
and keep deband-grain=0

Ive been using 8 for a decade so I've had to cram a decade's worth of Win10/11 knowledge in a month while I panic bought PC parts for a new desktop. Almost everything is here.

Panic bought a laptop too on sale -- I am about to OOBE that laptop this weekend so its my "test run" on unfucking Win11 before I do it on my desktop once its complete. When you get complacent for years its hard to get back on the bike.

Thank you anon for validating my assumptions.

At this point, I wont even use any desktop environment on linux if it isn't X11. Even XFCE is dead to me because it has wayland support. I will never support anything wayland based on linux.

Im not that anon, but a lot of the difference you see between hdr and sdr isn't because of hdr, but because the monitor goes into a higher brightness mode when hdr is enabled. They are intentionally gimped to make the hdr option look better as a marketing tactic.

Wouldn't matter in practice because there are a lot of non-GTK applications now and even amongst the GTK app developers many of them are seeing sense to switch to something else, for example, EasyEffects recently had a Qt release in part because of all of the issues with GTK.
So GTK can have the inferior experience and everyone else can point and laugh at them.

I remember a while back, everyone here was talking about that vibevoice leak,
>>
>>107669227
I dunno what the "top" models are but in my experience voxcpm has been pretty decent and it's also relatively easy to run. I could never get gptsovits working with all the Python crap that kept failing and giving me errors.
Chatterbox is also relatively decent, it's faster than voxcpm but the quality is slightly worse. Not "bad" per se but it just doesn't clone the voice well and tends to give you a more generic voice no matter what.
Vibevoice hallucinates a lot and gives you random artifacts and garbled audio.
>Is there a single program that can run most of them like with llama.cpp?
No
>>
>>107669274
It's still the second best and it doesn't require pain in the ass finetuning, but it's far bigger and far slower.
>>
I've got 32gb vram and 128gb ram, I've just started using ik_llama. Are there any parameters I can adjust to optimize speed while not sacrificing quality?

Dang and I thought I got lucky getting them for 319 when they went on sale for an hour the other day. Mine aren't coming for a couple of weeks. How do they fit? I had heard that they have a lighter clamp than the 600's and are nice for larger heads. But then just yesterday I saw a comment that said they were kind of small. I'm a little worried now, the 600's and 550's were a little too tight on my head. I could bend the metal on the 600's but the 490's I don't think you can bend because they have the connector thing running through to the other cup.
