When that thing came out I looked into the SDK because it seemed like a neat platform to code for. Their developer docs said that you could apply for early access to the SDK if you were a part of a "marginalized community" lol so I never did anything with it because they didn't want wh*tes I guess

How the fuck is a 1998 game capable of generating collisions for any terrain and it just works on super old hardware?
Meanwhile Godot's trimesh is so slow it cannot even run smoothly on modern hardware (and also broken since version 4), while anything other than trimesh will cause the player to literally fall through the stage?

Can someone explain this?

The html5 video element alone can not support the features YouTube wants. Dynamic adaptive streaming needs JavaScript, and of course ads need it, also I don't believe live streaming works without JavaScript.
>>
>>107884930
> was actually dogshit
Flash took a lot of heat because it was the platform on which ads were implemented, also YouTube's shitty player placed further unfair blame onto flash. Every other website besides YouTube had perfectly working video players implemented in flash. Also, however bad things were with flash, the modern web with html/JavaScript based ads are a million times worse.
>>
>>107885433
There were such games, I recall ArmorGames having a multiplayer TDS with accounts.
>>
>>107885433
I have literally cracked games doing that in the past year anon (Escape from Puppy Death Factory was the latest one I removed accounts/ads/sitelock from, or maybe it was Quang Tran's Phoenotopia(I forget if Phoenotopia had accounts, it definitely had ads)) as an example. And games can store arbitary data in .sol files too. So many newgrounds games synced to newgrounds servers to store highscores and pulled account data too. Have you literally never played a game on newgrounds or armor games?

lighgun cringe have less entertainment value then even mobile games and don't count as substitute for VR
>>
>>107889573
>don't count as substitute for VR
Light guns aren't a substitute for VR, VR is a much lower quality version of light guns.

The problem, fundamentally, is weight. Without any force, any physics simulation you can run in VR is a waste of time. So, off the bat, picking things up, melee, all that shit, is total garbage.

So, VR is reduced 2 two applications. The first is sim titles, which are better with a proper sim setup. The second is shooting guns, and here again VR is dogshit, because there's no weight or realism, there's no solenoid pistols, the controllers are generic and feel like shit, and the resolution is too low for iron sights to be useful at real sizes, you have to use goofy shit like oversized holo sights or just give up and hip shoot.

I've had more fun in TC1 alone over the years than I've had ever in VR.
>>
>>107877608
I used vr to overcome motion sickness. 750$ to stop acting like a pissbaby every time things move fast or in a circle also porn. Worth it. Also I lost a lot of weight recently and hardly stay inside anymore.

Only active trackers i use whom i get a lot of uploads from are PTP, EMP, OPS and IPT

Either there are too much seedbox, low bonus point and little utilities which makes it hard to get upload desu. I know a lot of people who got AB but still use Nyaa for 99% of their need, or people who are in BHD but don't use it because it takes them years to build buffers as opposed to HDB/PTP

for what god-forsaken reason would anyone other than microjeet even try to support VBA?

for the rest of it, just use a proper programming language, the spreadsheet interface is just a hindrance at that point
>>
>>107889650
>tangible problems in front of you
the only tangible problem here is that you want to use MS Office because you're already using MS Office and anything other than MS Office is never going to be MS Office because that shit is proprietary, only microjeet can use it

that's a non-issue. For actual work with spreadsheets you can use any of the alternatives, their only drawback is that they're, as stated before, not MS Office and not part of the MS Office walled garden.
>>
>>107889675

Starlink terminals are quite loud and easily detected. That doesn't mean it's impossible to use them, but use has to be intermittent and away from urban areas. That's fine if you want to smuggle out a video here and there but useless if you want to have interactive use of the internet in general.
Elon Musk told investors that Starlink would be completely neutral politically and would not be permitted in countries where the government was opposed to it. The system wasn't even fully functional before he reversed course on that. Starlink is now a military target due to that choice.
It's not beyond the capability of many "rouge" states to toss a couple thousand bits of debris into Starlink orbits, causing a chain reaction that destroys most of the system. Yes, in those orbits eventually all of the junk would get eaten by the Earth's atmosphere but that would take several years and also investment money would not be available for a replacement due to the high risk involved.

>>
>>107888678
In his defense it's sometimes a feature, Beyerdynamic's A20 amp was explicitly sold as being able to power two headphones for example
That and lazyness probably made it seem not important to not have more headphones plugged in than necessary
>>
>>107888678
While that's pretty stupid, none of those should've been drawing enough current to fry something that can push almost 8 Watts per channel. Maybe there's some fuckery going on with the combination of different inductive and capacitive loads, but if the output stage is so sensitive to such loads that it can blow up, it's just plain poorly designed.
>>
>Generally not and you can tell when they do. 7506, DT770, ATH M40X, ... are popular for monitoring. IE listening for equipment issues. It has to be clear but they're not worried about tonal fidelity because you can't have tonal fidelity on headphones without EQ to fit the user. Quality mixing headphones are a relatively new thing, relatively expensive, and still not widely used.

doesn't Realphones solve this problem? People say that it works perfectly for mixing on headphones, and they support a lot of headphones. there's also VSX but they aren't as good apparently and you have to use their shitty headphones.
