It literally does nothing but attempt to make blacks look good you your shitting overpriced garbage LCD monitor and it fails to do a decent job at that. Since nothing will ever compare to the color reproduction and real blacks that were possible on CRT.But feel free to continue buying the next gimmick so I can re-master the same garbage content I've already mastered 4 of 5 times by now because you idiots keep re-buying it.I use Xenocara and a private fork of X11 by the way. I have a 6 monitor set-up at my FreeBSD workstation. Yes it supports HDR and mixed refresh rates and all the other shit you idiots keep parroting isn't possible in X11. We tried to push our modifications upstream years ago and FreeDesktop refuses to accept them. Thankfully, the OpenBSD guys and the Xlibre guy aren't massive fags and are happy to take our code. All my laptops run OpenBSD by the way and they're far more secure than any garbage Linux distro you're using with systemd backdoor bundled in.Thanks for keeping my employed. >Microsoft plans to eliminate every line of C and C++ from the company by 2030.>Microsoft plans to translate the largest C and C++ systems to Rust. The rise of Rust and the downward trend of code quality are directly correlated. As populations become less intelligent, they rely more on the crutches built by previous generations. why are so many programming "help" groups like this? like, somebody will specifically opt into helping people, and then get frustrated when they dont do exactly what they expect. it constantly feels like im testing everyone's patience whenever i ask for help and its even harder trying to just learn everything myself, especially considering all the weird semantic differences in both the language itself and guides.like i can imagine a full script in my head but i wouldnt know how to translate it into the language im currently using. and on the offchance that i *do* get the help needed, usually its just "oh just use the blah function", so its not like i just Dont Know How To Code or anything i just dont know the shit thats specific to the engine, and its not like i can just look it up in a glossary or something because the words can be totally different from language to language, like how "object" in one language can be "entity" in another, and object in *that* language refers to an object in an array or something, so theres just a huge language gap that i cant really cross without the help of others, which sucks because working with others sucks
Whether from the perspective of a frustrated noob like OP or some angry old nigger like >>107654160, the entire interaction called "help" appears to be a massive waste of time. I certainly don't bother with it anymore. If it's not the sort of thing I can teach myself, it's not worth bothering with
>>107640271if you were smart enough to figure out things on your own then you wouldnt be asking for helpergo listen to what you're told instead of being """"creative"""""
>>107654160I ask that bc I want to learn the language / system and got stuck without a clue on how to proceed, and because I don't want my homework done for me. I only learn by really grokking the most retarded-seeming details of the language, not by adopting "design patterns" or "best practices", which is purely about aesthetics and preventing feuds between codemonkeys.

>>107640705I have to draw a line between smart and true genius, there just isn't a safe place to draw it. Emotions are going to affect perception, which will easily produce an effect where the kind and patient person seems more wise. Why are ""people"" (gamers) still so anti-VA? Modern VA panels have absurdly fast response times on par with IPS (faster actually except for black to black). On the plus side you get the blackest blacks, whitest whites and no backglow messing up everything. I understand OLED is superior to both and TN is the competitive choice but it's weird seeing how many people still tell each other to steer clear of VA when your average $200 VA panel is almost certainly better than a $200 IPS one.
>>107657577What is IPS glow? I'm looking for a new monitor and I'm leaning toward IPS.
