Has this shit stagnated, LDG?I mean... I get that there are a bunch of newer models, some too heavy to run (or run comfortably) on midrange consumer hardware and they do cute things like get text right and shit, but let's be real here.If you're, like, a gooner, and you want tasteful semi-realistic smut/ecchi, have literally any improvements been made in the last two years???I'm still using a Pony model here (Incursio's Meme Diffusion). I've tried A LOT of other crap and the results are always inferior. I don't know what's the deal with Illustrious, but Every-Single-Model- seems incapable of drawing anything but these washed out, muted, pastel pics. People look like they're either made of plastic or cardboard. The newer, enlarged shit is even worse. Z-image, Pony v7, some other crap I can't even remember...tl;dn: has anything better than Pony Incursio's Meme Diffusion come out, for semi-realistic tasteful gurls?
>>107691805what you're talking about is more of a style tag or lora issue than a checkpoint issue. attach an image of the specific style you like and maybe we can tell you more.
>>107691805>I'm still using a Pony model hereunless you like faux-3d render shit, pony is strictly inferior to illustrious-noob checkpoints. other than that, yes there are diminishing returns to this stuff. worst part is that there's just no fully-fledged danbooru finetune of those newer models. if we're ever getting z-base it's the most likely candidate for training though
>>107691805the only hope lies in z-image base and it's finetunes. if this does not happen, this "hobby" is dead

Any version of Windows since 1995 has been more polished, production-ready and user-friendly than any Linux distro ever made. That's obvious to anybody who has installed both of them on the same machine. Are Linux users just lying about their distros being a better experience than a Windows installation?
>>107691524>a package manager that can differentiate between user apps and critical system components does not existany distro i've tried has a base group or core repo that defines this. the confusion comes from windows users thinking that a DE is a system application>mention when an update fails or breaks something your only recourse is to have had made an entire system image.whare are btrfs snapshots. also if an update borks windows you're more likely to need to reinstall windows than i am to have to reinstall linux. linux is much easier to repair even without snapshots>you have to use root or sudo so often that it takes any safety from having things locked behind privileged accounts to begin with.normal users won't need to touch the root user often at all, you're a power user so you mess with the system a lot more than normal people do>some normie tries to remove firefox from ubuntu, types in root password for the billionth time today and next thing you know half the packages on the system are gonethis is what happens when a distro tries to do what you're suggesting and more common applications part of the "core system components"

Needing some advice on music players for Linux. Running Antergos. Installed a few, and so far the only viable option is Audacious, but it is missing some creature comforts that I got with foobar. Most importantly, I want one that will support some sort of convolver, since I have impulse waveforms for all of my cans. I am using a Schiit stack to play everything. Anyone have any recommended players?
is there any player that sorts by genre > band > album?I spent years sorting all my music on windows, every player I tried on linux only sorts by band or band and album I can't remember the name of a million different bands and albums, it's easier to just find them by genre, but when you do sort by genre it just throws them all together, when I want to listing to a whole album
Besides the preinstalled Rhythmbox, I've tried Fooyin, Strawberry, and recently Musikcube. They're all cool but I think I might miss MusicBee from Windows (or at least the cool Tron theme I used on it). Anyway does anyone know if this is any good for adding replaygain metadata to my music? https://github.com/complexlogic/rsgainI rip CDs because why not and most of them need replaygain. Any alternatives would be great.
>>107690179lel imagine if he was still using antergos
>>107690065"deadbeef" (gtk) or "fooyin" (qt)>>107690171this
>>107691262replaygain is good if you're listening to playlists or poorly mastered songs where the volume between each track is going to jump around a lot. it's just a metadata tag that tells your player to turn up the voluem a specific amount so you don't have to do any reencoding.>rsgainI use it, it works great and is super fast with multithreading

>>107689456They did the same thing with PPC -> standard Intel chips zoomzoom.
>>107689639The specific context here is not that it was done. But rather the performance. Rosetta is noted for its performance. This performance derives from hardware support. Microsoft cannot replicate Rosetta because of this.
>>107687500Qualcomm made something of the sort though it isn't as efficient. And even so, Rosetta itself is only so good. Code still runs considerably slower through it.
>>107689903It was always noted for its performance. Their 68k translation layer was so good they took 10 years to fully drop it. This is an area where Apple has demonstrated excellence since before your junkhead was born.
Too early. RISCV is the architecture the Chinese gov wants its manufacturers to eventually use so I'm confident it won't go away. However, I don't see it prevailing until China can produce its own CPUs in large quantities.
