for the more tech-savvy ones here: on vertex ai in api (NOT the gemini api!) you can turn off some filters for 2.5 flash image gen.

the big problem is that they still seem to run a classifier on the image outputs and literally erase them from the response + make the model say that it can't generate the image (even if it actually did). its honestly really sad, the model can clearly easily output NSFW, they just block it externally

Vista ran slow as shit even on new hardware that supposedly was up to spec, and the only real features it had outwardly were a 3d-rolldex effect on win-tab (engineers tried to copy linux wobbly cube crap), and widgets (engineers tried to copy macos/konfabulator widgets).

OS Security theater was just in its infancy, so you couldn't force people to trash their computer for "critical security updates."

Leafs are the best electric car that exists and has ever exists.
Everything in them has been open source and hacked. It is the only freedom car & cannot be shut down. You can add battery mods and spare batteries.
The cooling of the battery is irrelevant unless there's some dumb fuck that uses fast charging stations while already driving, multiple times a day, instead of charging at your home.

On a related note it's worth noting that we really take 4chan for granted sometimes. They could just take your PNG/4:4:4 JPG uploads and Nvjpeg encode them to a 4:2:0 JPG. Profit line would go up and other users would then save these abominations, upload them, and the whole incestous process would begin again. Like even though webp isn't supported yet nothing is stopping you from say using Guetzli.
>>
>>106484428
It's almost as if bandwith isnt much of a problem in the age of free CDNs.
And 20 years ago, when bandwidth was spare, people also used png and jpeg.

There really isn't much use in those current-thing temporary image formats that get replace all two years.
>>
>>106484554
Nah, you're getting this impression because you spend too much time on a mongolian basket weaving forum where samefagging became so rampant that 4chan decided to get rid of the IP counter. So it's really like a few samefags per thread opening/uploading images every once in a while.

That's is like taking a piss in an ocean of piss with the latter being what high traffic websites have to deal with. CDNs have made it more manageable not necessarily cheaper.

We could just not rely on these CDNs and P2P everything but then the cloudflare mafia would DDOS that too. You just can't have nice things because...

YOU just can't okay?

I'll be on Xorg/Xlibre until Wayland stops being shit.
i.e. forever.
>>
>>106485077
Well it's the boomers of Linux that also brought us Wayland. They're just stuck in their ways.
>>106485087
You could say the same in reverse. I will keep using Plasma Wayland until Xorg/Xlibre stops being shit.

We shouldn't pretend that either Xorg/X11 or Wayland is perfect, neither of them are but at least Wayland is slowly getting fixes and improvements to it.

If the XLibre people want something modern that normal people will want to use then they've got a lot of catching up to do.

systemd-nspawn is so much nicer than using docker holy shit
don't have to worry about whether or not my filesystem is being polluted by tons of random shit and i'm in complete control
>noooo you don't understand i need every permutation of installation made for me and a super heavy abstracted runtime and a weird DSL which is a worse attempt at creating a shell script than windows batch, just to run a bunch of instances of a shitty python/nodejs web app

i am building firmware, which has specific build environment requirements, an actual legitimate usecase for a container
vms cover the cloud provider usecase much better as they provide actual security and isolation
but i'm pretty sure most of the users of docker and all the other shit stapled on top of it are just used to handle scale for programs so badly written they can't handle even a minimal amount of traffic

I want to make some small command line utils, similar to ls, cat, and such. I'm thinking of using C# or Kotlin. Am I going to get screwed by runtime startup speed? I know the .net runtime stays loaded in the background after the first use, so it wouldn't be a massive issue for consecutive commands.
>why not test it yourself
I am waging today :3
>>
>>106485088
There's no valid usecase for containers, your usecase is solved by having a separate user configured for it. Which is really no different from separate user that people setup for this thing they call their job.
>inb4 copying /home/wagiestuff to different machine is unreproducible

>>106485102
>Am I going to get screwed by runtime startup speed?
Why not use AOT? Both support it just fine if startup is such a huge concern (it shouldn't be)? You also get to build single file binaries with that.
>I know the .net runtime stays loaded in the background after the first use
What? It doesn't do that.

undervolt the cpu
>>
Yeah undervolting is the best solution. Was given an old MSI GF72-8RE with an i7 that was hitting 97 celsius just installing games on steam. Took it apart, repasted the cpu and gpu and all it did was stop it spiking as quickly. Applied a very modest undervolt using a literal text file in Linux Mint and now it maybe hits the low 70s under full load.

>GPT Made him do it?

No it didn't. If we're talking about that teenager that an-heroed after talking to chat GPT, he was already mentally ill well before his death. He just wanted someone to tell him that doing it was okay. If you actually look deeper into this issue you find out the AI straight up told him "hey dude maybe you should get some help" and then circumventing that by claiming he was writing a story or something. Blame the parents for not paying attention to what he does on the internet and not having parental controls set on his phone.

Because the purpose of ethnic cleansing is to cleanse the land. Their population was going up as their territory was shrinking. This creates a flashpoint which guarantees outcomes like the one we have.

that random css names is a sign of shitty (bloated) website
the other sign are shadow dom elements
and custom elements that reimplement normal elements with shitty custom javascript that breaks accessibility
and scroll hijacking
and custom smooth scroll
and infinite scroll
and virtual scroll elements which break mouse "lock to scroll" bindings and extensions like vimium, because the element has pseudo content inside which is replaced as one scrolls with their horrible implementation so for anything else that scrolls it seems to have nothing to scroll and justs scrolls by a tiny bit and stops
this is pure cancer, as with every custom element they think they reimplemented the custom behavior because they implemented arrow keys and page up, page down...
javascript was a mistake
and the so called controlled inputs that updates the state as you type, eats and loses the input you have typed, because you have typed it too fast for that retarded implementation...
the only sensible implementation is to wait until the user stops typing for some time, updating state on keydown or keyup is jeet tier
honestly why do they even write controlled inputs is a mystery to me, it doesn't do anything good but fucks everything up for the user
