Pros:
>Strong sandboxing/isolation improves security.
>Widely supported across major distros (especially Fedora, GNOME-based distros).
>Uses Portals apps can request access to files, devices, etc. in a controlled way.
>Good integration with desktop environments.
>Flathub is a central, well-maintained app store with lots of apps.
>Auto-updates supported.

Cons:
>Flatseal has the potential to change the permissions of other flatpaks at will. Essentially, a flatpak with the ability to change the permissions of other flatpaks. It is rendered to be "Potentially Unsafe" with "Arbitrary Permissions" with access to "User Data" subfolder flatpak/overrides, Can read and write all data in the directory" and "Arbitrary Permissions, Can acquire arbitrary permissions".
>Larger disk space usage (apps bundle runtimes + libraries).
>Slower startup compared to native apps (sandbox overhead).
>Strong desktop focus not ideal for CLI/server software.
>Relies heavily on Flathub (centralization concern).

Well, I'm saying you're wrong because my dev machine uses the flatpak version of VSCode and I have access to my system libraries and binaries.

Flatpak is gay because it can't install programs offline. If you download a .flatpak file you won't be able to do anything with it without connecting to their servers.

I'm talking about text files.
Also, you shouldn't need to do any modifications to get those in the first place. Just use the Snap.

NTA but does the web-ui lag at all? I'm currently on ruTorrent with a little over 5k torrents (see >>106484840 ) and I'm wondering if I can migrate everything to qBittorrent. I don't want to do all the work and end up with something that doesn't work with the amount of torrents I have.

if i open a torrent file in utorrent first, delete it, exit, then open the same torrent file in qbittorrent, it works! im going insane trying to figure out what is happening. checked the firewall and forwarded port, it's all working correctly. i don't know why qbit is struggling with these private torrents.

CSS isn't HML.
nor is using a CSS preprocessor to avoid namespace collisions a form of obfuscation.
>>
>>106485133
CSS is like the name says cascading. no one likes that CSS styles are cascading. so you use a CSS preprocessor to namespace every element in their own little namespace, so no cascading is going to happen.

Depending on the clearance level, the paperwork is a pain in the ass, the investigation can get intrusive, and lifestyle restrictions can suck, and the annual reporting get be miserable. Ultimately depends on what accesses you'll get and what programs you'll be read-in to though.

also bullshit

> It will just go straight past them because there's a dedicated line for those two destinations,

Also basically nowhere operates networks this way outside of a few countries in europe becuase it's peak retardation tier use of resources.

Who the FUCK is going to lay dedicated fiber lines across the entire country just to bypass a few router hops? Fucking no one.
>>
>>106485195
>That's terrible. 2-3 ms is almost enough to reach another country across the baltic sea. 4 ms to Finland.
I mean, the distance across the baltic sea can be as little as like 20km, so you're not really making a good argument here, more just saying you live in a specific location that happens to have direct routing to that speciifc datacenter you're testing to.
You're being hyperspecific and completely unrealistic, expecting others to get similar latency outside of that hyperspecific instance.
No offense, but you just come off as retarded, if you knew anything about networking outside of your european shithole you'd know what you're describing is so far outside the normal that it's basically a unicorn if it does actually exist. Great for you, but 99.99999% of the rest of the world can't get anything close to that over even half the distance.

It's not a waste, because it's dirt cheap and more efficient. Imagine having ping in video games in the current year.
>>
>>106485367
Laying individual fibers across the country to connect each customer is in no way efficient, or dirt cheap.

The only way your country can do it is because you have no population.

The moment you leave your ISPs own network I can almost guarantee your latency will drop to dogshit.

Test to a server in paris or something and let me know how that goes.

why dont you go all the way tho? run it at 480p... wait no resolution actually plays a major part in forming the representation of the frame that needs to be sent to the gpu wvery frame. if we lower it then we wont get an acurate read on how much the cpu has to do... that wont work. wait i answered my own question (and demonstrated the point of why lowering the resolution even in a cpu test is bad practice) silly me teehee
>>
>>106484239
You'd get even more GPU dependent scores though.
>>
>>106484476
sure. this is why you need to use actually cpu bound games to test cpus. just look at that graph. its obvious that as soon as we started missing cache, and we totally could do with resolution and its aide effects, that those x3d chips would tank. also is you really going to expect me to believe a 9800x3d has 10% or better on a 7800x3d? nah nigger, something else fucky is going on there.

I could actually see all those channels having a largely underage audience who didn't usually bother to sign in, but had played it safe in sort of a middle ground that's no longer a safe place to be. Zero Punctuation shouldn't but that hardly stopped anyone until there was actual enforcement.
And most people don't know that you can subscribe to a channel's RSS feed and never miss a video notification, which a lot of people have been complaining about not getting even though they are double subscribed.

I have an m1 mac mini and I'm interested in upgrading to the m4. That 8gb of ram and better CPU would be so nice. I like the apple eco system, I can even use my phone as a webcam / microphone for zoom meetings. Macs have a lot of useful tools and a unix shell.

If all I'm doing is programming (mainly native app development in swift/kotlin), is there even a better computer I can get? I can get an m4 mac mini for $509 refurbished. For how fast it is--that's one hell of a deal!

it really can't be beat for price/perf. be sure to buy it from the official apple refurb shop. it's $470 for a refurb unit which is apple recertified and comes with a full one year warranty.
