Look at that. Konqi. The KDE mascot.
The green is playful but not too loud. The scarf is tasteful, vivid, a bold stroke of red.
Notice the horns. Subtle, angular, catching the light with a clean, deliberate edge.
And the box filled with KDE tools, paintbrush, stickers, the whole arsenal. Immaculately arranged, not a single element out of place.

It’s not just a mascot. It’s perfection.

>After almost five decades on air, the future of satellite TV remains uncertain beyond 2029 with broadcasters reluctant to commit to the platform for longer.

A decision needs to be made within the next two years if satellite TV services from Sky and/or Freesat will continue. That’s because the current fleet of satellites are reaching their end of life dates and any replacement satellite needs to be commissioned at least three years in advance.

Because idiots buy streaming services.

It's no wonder TV is going. It's use is being used less as Boomers are told by their cordcutting kids to get streaming for on-demand programming instead of TV channel flipping.

Why do you think all these streaming services are raising prices?

did I stutter?

Software companies claim that generative AI is greatly boosting productivity, so where are the results of this? We should be seeing vastly improved software with new features being added at a faster pace, more frequent releases, and less bugs. Has anyone actually seen an example of this happening with any software?

The results are all around us. The economy is booming. AI is improving every aspect of life for those who adopt it. There is more software than ever and it meets user needs better than ever before in all of history. AI's impact is self-evident if you care to look.

I see a lot of posts on the Internet now where somebody asks an AI about the topic and the AI overview is simply the Wikipedia overview. I wonder to myself, why can't people just go to the Wikipedia and read the summary on something? Why must they get it from an AI?

We already know AI is intentionally crippled and neutered, and made by globohomo. Why would you use it?

The images are labeled "unknown" because I do not know the artist of any of them. I am thinking about changing the display so that the character name is there instead of the artist name, and the artist is just one of the tags. So far it only allows images, but I am considering allowing video uploads. The content is all SFW so it can be shared on blue boards. Sourcing maids is the hardest part of maidposting, and maidbooru will solve this.

>>
>>106516779
Well, yeah in some(most) cases that might be true. But branch prediction is not something you should rely on when optimising bounds checks. If you can't afford bounds checking in certain places, you should either ensure that it is statically known your index is in bounds(by a check before loop, modulo or assume_unchecked) or just use _unchecked function variants.

Now I can finally filter you degenerates out.

This whole "SSDs are failing due to Winblows 11 update" is a hoax that has been debunked already but pa/g/eets and freetards keep spamming the board, asking the same fucking question everyday. There is nothing to worry about if you have a high quality SSD and not some chink shit SSD with a phison controller.

Adguard is better at blocking ads with its default lists (which ublock uses as the bulk of its defaults), but the zapper in UBO is better than using Adguard.

>>
>>106516742
It doesn't integrate so you don't have context menu support, file associations, etc. If you reinstall a lot, portable programs are a must.
>>
>>106516820
There are tools that force file association even to portable applications.
>>
>>106516865
You can still do it manually through the OS, but then it's no longer portable since it saves to the registry. To me that's not an issue since I just only care about the settings & program data.

In 2018 I bought a slightly used (about a month) LG V30 for about 300 euro. I've been using it ever since, and it has met all my needs. The sound quality -- both from the built-in speakers and the 3.5mm analog output -- is excellent. It's not bulky or impractically large, and the build quality is outstanding. It looks great, offers expandable storage (to store my music), and I can still get through an entire day on a single charge.

Why can't they make anything like that anymore? I've been looking at recent flagships, and every single one feels like a downgrade -- aside from having the latest specs. There's no expandable storage; instead, they expect you to pay hundreds more for extra internal storage. And if you want to listen to music with wired headphones, you’re stuck carrying around a bulky DAC dongle.

So, what are the options in 2025? It seems like the only viable choices are the Sony Xperia 5 series or the Asus Zenfone (up to the 10th edition). But both have been discontinued, and the Xperia barely sold to begin with -- making it really hard to find one.
So, what now -- just surrender? Or am I missing something? Is there anything out there that still meets these basic, reasonable needs?

Yea because one of these days the internet will probably go out if the world gets destroyed. Unless you got solar you probably wont get to use a laptop and eventually the batteries will go out.

You do not want to be the one that survives somehow, only to have nothing to fucking do all day.

Society reverts back to prison rules, whoevers got the porno mags, entertainment and good food in plenty numbers becomes the new leader and especially water.

I'm this close to returning to this. The maps are/were the only thing holding me back from ditching my phone. I own and use a landline still, I dont need a mobile phone! I think I'm probably gonna go for it, as I realised I don't really go anywhere I don't know, and if I do, I'm usually planning the route beforehand to check for traffic anyway. I'd add a small pocket pad and pen/pencil to that list too, as having something to jot down on is very handy. Smartphones really made us monkeys huh.
