since windows XP' source code was leaked, is anyone trying to make a modern version of it?

ReactOS failed miserably because they never finished the XP stuff before they began working on the Vista+ slop.
>>
>>106510845
There's no point. You could just use modern Window or Linux and theme them into XP.

Doubt the mainstream porn sites would be faking it and if people actually getting payouts based on views, it'd be easy to prove. Youtube removed the dislike button and has done a lot of shady things so idk why anyone would trust them more.

Are there any amerisharts in this thread anymore? You keep talking about all these different phones but the sad reality is, after that 3G Sunset event, all carriers created a whitelist of phones. Anything not on that list (anything not apple, Samsung, or Google) will either not function normally or will be pretty much banned from their network (pop up message from carrier will appear on phone)
Yet here you all are with your redmagics and pocos and xiaomis and your cumquats.

I just want a fucking Xperia but I have to settle for a pixel because it "just werkz"

I'm not sure what's more aggravating: this or the fact that none of you faggots ever talk about this which further proves to me that you're all brown and this site is dead.

I know NOTHING about speakers, but I do need a set for my desk area.
I tried doing a cursory bit of research, but the speakers community seems rather convoluted and autistic and susceptible to snake oil.
What speakers do you have? Do you recommend them? What features should I care about if I 'just' want to listen to 'music'? Do I need stands? Right now I'm looking at the Ai41, as my budget is like $300.

If you only have one sub then invest in a measurement and room EQ system instead
It is very difficult to properly integrate one just by ear

If you are willing to learn then a $100 umik-1 and REW (free) is enough
If you want automagic then pay up for dirac, ARC, etc

I also have the Edifier R1700BT and they are surprisingly good for powered monitors at a near-budget price point. Heard some worrying stuff about longevity but time will tell and they're already 3-4 years old, still running great.

The only others I have that come close are Klipsch R-51m and they're much larger and require an amp. There is a slight limit on tone from the Edifiers that you can't get past because of their small size, they can't fill a space like larger speakers can, but otherwise very good.

got these bad boys for $140

Junior roles down 23%.
Senior roles up 14%.

Harvard tracked 285,000 firms. The math is brutal:

Before AI: 1 senior + 3 juniors = 4 person team
After AI: 1 senior + Claude = same output

We're creating a generation of experts with no apprentices. Masters with no students. Mentors with no one to mentor.

Who trains the next generation when AI does all the junior work?

But here's what made my stomach drop:

It's not layoffs.

The waste water of the cows is highly nitrogenated and filled with salts.

The waste water of the data centers is warm.

Big fucking difference.

You can simply wait on data center water to cool off before it's ready for reuse.

I'm doing a bunch of maintenance, installing, and re-installing etc. of several Win10 machines. I need a free & reliable utility to clone drives. Used to use Partition Wizard 9.something back in the WinXP & Win7 days, but it's not reliable to create bootable Win10 images anymore. Was great to automatically & custom resize partitions so I could use a 128 GB SSD as the source drive and clone it to a 64 GB drive, so long as the total data footprint would fit. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't now, probably due to GPT ... dunno.

Anyway. What suggestions to look into, please? Would Partition Wizard still be fairly solid, or is there better?

I don't really want to use an imaging software since I don't want to be dependent on a specific software being installed on a system that can only unpack and write a proprietary image format. Want to be able to connect any two drives to a system and clone directly.

Bonus features:
* be able to clone over a USB port, not be constrained to only using a SATA connector

* clone an SSD or HDD to a USB stick or SD card; not to boot & run, but to clone it back to SSD, HDD, NVME and have the image work (I have a shit ton of SD cards that would be great to keep several back up images on)

* would be fantastic to run such a utility from a bootable USB drive

* bonus bonus, defragmenting software similar to the old JKDefrag where you had numerous useful options for sorting & moving data; it worked spectacularly on Win7 but breaks Win8 & Win10

you can delete them in 5 seconds, you can never get apps that require a specific 23H2 or 24H2 build on windows that's stuck on 21H2 or will be stuck on 24H2 when rest of people are on 25H2, 26H2 and 27H2. Your entire system stack will be permanently stuck on a build that will every 3 years be 3 years out of date and incompatible with anything inovative and new that released in that period. You can't even use Directx 12 Ultimate or Auto HDR on Windows 10 21H2 now, and it has no CPU optimizations for any new 13+ gen hardware that's years old at this point. You also miss out on security features, your defender gets security heuristic updates but the actual capabilities of it never evolve. There's literally no use case for LTSC, a GAC build with all bloatware removed in 5 seconds right clicking in the start menu or using winget is infinitely more useful, secure, optimized, and compatible with windows apps
>>

>>
>>106511244
Yeah, in october of 2027. If there's some hardware or software that doesn't work on 24H2 build and needs 25H2 or 26H2 or 27H2 you'll just need to wait three short years

I know llama.cpp is pretty bad at parallel request, you need to set double the context length if you want n=2 parallel request and such.
How good is exllamav3+tabbyapi in that regard? Now it has tensor parallel support and it doesn't require 2,4,8 number of gpus to work, you can have a mix of vram sizes too. Is the parallel request similar to vllm? does it take up more vram to have more request at the same time?

>The chief practical difference with transformers is an "infinite" lossy context. As the context grows, runtime performance won't degrade, but the memory of older tokens will gradually fade.
If it's infinite context, but it's lossy, then what's the point of it being infinite if it will eventually forget things just like transformers?

Install Gentoo. Or whatever flavor of *nix is best for the job or most comfy for you. Jellyfin/Emby/Plex to replace Netflix, Nextcloud to replace Googlel, Ampache/Navidrome to replace Spotify, the list goes on. Look at the awesome self-hosted list and ask.

I just buy physical equipment and put it inline to learn. But, depends what you want to use. If you're learning strictly Cisco then CML is better because it has cat9k images. If you want to learn other vendors then yeah, GNS3 is good.

The SFP form factor really isn't designed to handle the thermal load of the chipsets used to convert the signals.
The standard itself is only designed to handle 1.5w or so, way lower than the 2.5-4.5w that most SFP+ 10Gbase-t modules will consume.
