Fork it. Using the software that actually works and isn't obsolete trash that requires more work to get less isn't supporting the ideology of pottering or Red Hat.
>>
>>108503679
it's not hard or anything, just wanted to ask here for advice because we all know thst the infamous hacker 4chan uses gentoo and he contacted me personally that i need to install gentoo, but jokes aside just wanted to ask if i was missing something
alw what the hell is this captcha kek
>>
>>108503602
btw it just finished
there were 41 things to compile, took 45 minutes overall with make.conf i posted at the beginning
the longest noticable time took net-libs/nodejs and dev-python/installer, everything else like i said, few minutes maybe
>>
>>108503929
My arch install takes roughly the same amount of time from start to finish, but I compile gtkmm, gtk2, and nitrogen.
>>
>>108502857
Keep in mind development on xlibre has been very active.
Seems ripe for introducing CVEs.
Something to keep in mind when running gentoo or something else bleeding edge.

Slackware>Void>Gentoo>Devuan>Artix
pkgtools>xbps>portage>apt>pacman
the best init you can use on Artix is OpenRC. It's neat enough for you to rc-update delete udev, elogind and dbus

Devuan lets you use SysVinit which is ideal, you run ln -sf /bin/true /usr/sbin/update-rc.d
ln -sf /bin/true /usr/sbin/invoke-rc.d
find /etc/rc?.d/ -type l -delete
find /etc/rc?.d/ -name "*udev*" -delete
find /etc/rc?.d/ -name "*elogind*" -delete
find /etc/rc?.d/ -name "*dbus*" -delete
and edit /etc/rc.local manually

In Gentoo things are simpler, you write USE="-udev -elogind -dbus"

Void takes it a step further you rm the symlinks for udev, elogind and dbus from /var/service/

do you have so much salt in your eyes you cannot see? it's clearly caster sugar in that image. ask your mom to bring some caster sugar down to her basement for you to see.

and you think pajeet wouldn't be just as likely to use a picture of caster sugar rather than salt because they look similar enough? just admit that you cannot tell the difference.

As someone who's actually used System V style /sbin/init it isn't worth it, imo.

Not saying the games are bad, but pretty much every 360 game is available on PC, and most Wii games aren't a great emulator experience due to the Wiimote

Now that I typed that, I just realized that you can load dumps on real hardware, but this doesn't answer why you wouldn't use native ports for 360 games

everything is fucking AIfags in the ass lmao.
LLMs can't improve anymore and only way labs cope is by over-fitting on benchmarks till the new one drops.

AI is only replacing jeets who couldnt code before. The rest of us are getting promotions while kicking the ladder to unnecesary nocoders who only know how to use AI.
>>
>>108503486
Nah, even professionals coders are admitting that AI is superior (check Linus and others) Tick tock, you are on the chopping block
>>
>>108503368
Why is it not intelligent, though? Regardless of how it works.
You make the argument that you're a woman because you appear to be one, so by all intents and purposes you are and people must treat you as one. Ok.
If a next-token predictor solves complex problems and can outsmart the average human at certain tasks, why is it not intelligent? I don't believe not passing an arbitrary test is a valid answer because you wouldn't pass a woman benchmark either if anyone were to design one. Just like i can design tests that some humans can and others can't pass, doesn't make the humans that can't pass less intelligent or less human, only less capable at a certain domain.

KEK. You AI trannies crack me up.
>>
>>108503833
>follows up his weird post by making weird gestures at trannyshit
okay... the whole point of general intelligence is that it's general. if you need a human to make a special harness to baby the AI until it can make it through every task, what part of that system is general intelligence? the human part.

It's the opposite of your example in reality, AI can "appear" intelligent because it vomits out smart sounding chains of words, but it doesn't actually think and solve problems. Mostly it either repeats preset patterns from its dataset or (in chat form) convinces the human to do the thinking for it. Which is why any practical use of AI involves going back and forth with a human.

I hate the shitty threads you people make.
I want to share what has opened my eyes, for other novices like me, who are trying to leave Winslop 11.

This thread is supposed to put you on the right track to making your own decision,
after reading this thread the fog of Linux won't be there anymore,
you will know what you want and you will find the distro that is suitable for you.

> 1. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1b/Linux_Distribution_Timeline.svg
This old image includes 95% of all Linux distros in existence, study this.

Studying this image alone, is going to help you see through idiotic arguments like "mint is better" or "go with arch" or "go with pop_os" -- most of them have a parent OS.

> 2. Distro arguments are pointless. #1 choice that you must make is what family Linux do you want and pick.
If you studied image above, you will see there distinct few families of Linux, the relevant ones are: Debian, Fedora, Arch.

Private trackers are not secret clubs. They are exclusive clubs. They exist to create well seeded and properly curated selections of high quality media. Also to make freeloaders seethe and shill shitty Android apps that don't work without paying to pirate.
