>>107871167Comfy indeed. I've never had one but have emulated one in MAME. It runs fast enough to navigate Irix pretty well but is nowhere near as fast as the real thing if you're actually trying to render something.Still, SGI machines are incredibly kino and I've been keeping an eye out for one in my area for a long time.>>107871527Fair enough, but it's not like you have to keep it set up 24/7. I only really have space keep one or two of my old systems set up at a time and just rotate them out when I feel like using a different one.
>>107871167I wouldn't turn down Indigo2 or Octane-class hardware if someone wanted to give it to me, but the Indy and O2 were not that great compared to a loaded PC at the time. Everybody goes on about the demos and they are very cool but they are also very old and are well, demos: clever hacks that use the hardware very well. Most of them date from the Personal Iris era. I'd like to look at Iris Explorer - the bundled data visualization program that had a graphical dataflow paradigm - again with 2026 eyes but so far not enough to spin up an emulator.
>>107865604I bought a IIc+ at a thrift store in the nineties and redonated it when I moved. I still regret that one even though I don't know what I'd use it for.

>>107871653Who mentioned Quake? Barely any game uses ECS, old or new

Arguing about ECS here is a good distraction from having to actually use the ECS in my game. Thanks guys

You should close browser tabs when you're done with them. If you want to quickly get back to where you were, there is a separate technology for that: bookmarks.
>>107859911>[SCHIZOPHRENIC PROJECTION]You cannot prove that xt is malware ranjeet
>>107856452i have like 300 tabs - its not organized but i am not done with those tabs yet, i just havent had time to go through them alli will eventually, and i close them when i'm done with them
This was an official firefox feature 10 years ago but they killed it for something more convoluted and inferior. You can still get it as an unofficial add-on though. It's the best way to manage tabs.
Just do whatever the FUCK you want holy shit.

People always make fun of air coolers. Is it because it is deprecated technology?
>>107871549Nice Love me anime boobs
>>107871549What case is that?
>>107871442wtf is an air cooler? Looks like just a heatsink+fan? I don't get it
>>107869298Now that we're moving in the reverse direction hardware wise, hopefully all passive PC's become the mainstream norm.Dead silent computing, not even coil whine because they're not pushing components so hard.
In terms of permformance, yes water coolers are better than air. In terms of durability, and cost sometimes air coolers are better and the best option.

Is zorin os the new best linux?

>>107871390>but gotthat's good for everyone else besides autists
No its broken. If they fix all these issues maybe it would be decent, right now its trash though and the devs have a shady past.Uses brave by default instead of firefox or librewolf or hell even chromium which is better than bravePeople have been saying how shit brave is but they will not remove it. It's retarded how stupid the devs are.Gnome software is shit and cant even load icons properly as pic related showsSnaps are included by default which are garbage when flatpaks are the supreme standardThey wont use bazaar which is better with flatpaksGnome file manager still sucks and is much slower than KDEKDE already won the windows 11 desktop competitor.Theres just no good KDE distros that are clean and simple to use besides kubuntu and thats on old 6.4, won't be good until its on 6.5 on the next release. The problem with linux is theres never polished distros. Zorin is so close but it's broken

A bunch of sad larping redditors and shitty domestic drug prices
It's so sad that we can't have things like this anymore and instead get RGB slop and glass panels. Imagine, how pleasant to have one giant 400mm fan spinning at a virtually silent 500RPM, which blew enormous amounts of cool air directly onto every single chip, component, and heatsink on the board, as well as your storage devices and PSU. Now we have to deal with 40mm chipset fans running at ludicrous RPMs and oversized fuckhuge expensive air coolers for the CPU.Are there any signs of hope for true aircooling enthusiasts?
>punch glass out>make shroud out of abs sheeting>install fan3 minutes worth of work. why are you people so inept? fucking gaymers i swear to god.
>>107871568>make shroud out of abs sheetingah yes so simple

Why are all PCs designed with the glass/vents on the left side, rather than the right side? It would be cool if you could have either, like that Ikea desk that you can flip
