The firmware is different on the two TVs, the Hisense is more aggressive with the adaptive brightness and has a different gamma curve etc. ultimately the LG has the better picture, but it was also 200-250 EUR more expensive.SONY used to have pretty good image processing so maybe they can get more out of the same LG panel, but I haven't looked at what they're doing.

It's so sad that we can't have things like this anymore and instead get RGB slop and glass panels. Imagine, how pleasant to have one giant 400mm fan spinning at a virtually silent 500RPM, which blew enormous amounts of cool air directly onto every single chip, component, and heatsink on the board, as well as your storage devices and PSU.
