Its crazy to me that even on 4chan most people dont understand or apreciate the value of truth and honesty. He knew full well what the consequences would be, he knew there was a good chance that most people would be too apathetic to care, but he still went ahead with leaking everything because it was the right thing to do. To shed light on one of the most morally bankrupt institutions to have ever existed and their mass surveilance program. Because the truth matters, and even if most people are npc sheep who dont care, there are people out there who DO care and those people deserve to know the truth.

FAQ:
>How do I activate Windows?
HWID2 generates and registers a permanent legitimate license on MS's activation servers
github.com/massgravel/Microsoft-Activation-Scripts
Usage: paste this into Powershell, run.
irm https://get.activated.win | iex

>and Office?
Same link, select Ohook option
You can also use Office.com if your needs are very minimal
or try OnlyOffice/LibreOffice and set it to save in MSOffice file formats

>What version should I install?
>W10 Enterprise IoT LTSC 2021

Is Pro the best one if I use my PC for gayming and also need shit like Office and OneDrive for my university stuff? Or should I go with LTSC either way
>>
>>107531546
By that metric you should be using an MS account right? Has your uni not given you an Education key to use?
>>
>>107531546
Office works perfectly fine in LTSC.
OneDrive explorer integration is gutted and requires registry edit to recover, but that's just a minor inconvenience.
>>
Can I activate Windows 10 by using "irm https://get.activated.win | iex" in Powershell?
>>
>>107532272
Yes that's what you're suppose to do. Do it in an admin powershell for ease of use.
It's basically just an irm command that downloads and runs MAS from the temp folder with a random hash so Defender doesn't get mad. Run the HWID activation.

Just install heroic flatpak and put game folders in
/home/username/Games/Heroic folder

Games should just work.

Though you need to be aware that the difference between steam vs heroic is that steam automatically installs visual redist runtime dlls, directx dlls like d3dcompiler_47 that are necessary for DXVK with DX11 to work properly.

Most games dont need any special installs in the prefix but some do and if you're not using steam, you have to install it yourself on heroic. For example binding of issac rebirth needs openAL DLL specifically to work under proton. Stalker anomaly needs d3dcompiler_47 for DX11 support as well as 2015-2022 visual redist.

I think bottles comes closest because they have a gaming focused prefix option that installs all the stuff normal games would need but bottles doesn't have a GUI for game images like heroic
>>
>>107532095
As often as any other distro for security patches. I'd update once a week at a bare minimum.

Quality took a big dump since the HP acquisition and the slider parts like to crack even more than the Cloud 2's. To make matters worse, no one seems to have made 3D printable stronger replacements, and it looks like they're no longer compatible with Beyerdynamic parts either.

Why did Microsoft make Windows XP look like an OS for babies while Apple was pushing sleek, cutting-edge aesthetic designs? Both of these operating systems came out at the same exact time.

>>107526967
Nobody I know ever looked at it and said it looks like it's made for babies. I think it looks nice. But you and your folk will always have this cringe attitude to everything that doesn't fit your "box you've put yourself into". You have insecurities and want to look "mature" or whatever, because you are not in real life. Because you are a manchild and are ashamed of it. Thus projecting your feelings by criticizing something that doesn't look "mature".

On the other hand criticizing flatshit makes sense, because it looks like cheap shit made in mspaint. Furthermore it has glaring accessibility issues, so it's deserved. But there are no technical issues like that with XP look. And it looks aesthetic.
>>
>>107529087
W7 is fine, and its actually the last usable Windows version, but honestly its when the already planted the seed of faucification, with "features" like forced driver signing or renaming certain elements of UI that refer to actual ownership (my computer -> computer). Its a great compromise but not a necessity.
