What do you not like about it? It has flat screen and you wont get much better phone anywhere else. All phones have compromises and the ultra series has the least in my experience
>>
The camera looks very snappable.
And I thought it had sliding keyboard

I don't know what's actually correct and it has been impossible to truly get a definite answer, but in my country apparently the telecommunications ministry legally mandates that all phones should be able to call 911 via 4G and apparently mi9 doesn't have support for that so they're forced to deactivate it or something, I already enabled VOLTE, so I bought a new phone in case mine suddenly stops working.

Elaborate?

What phone would you recommend someone who doesn't care about gaming at all, mostly used for browsing and productivity with no lag .

sorry if this sounds dumb but im finally getting my lazy butt around to getting wan 2.2 and the premade workflow in this rentry: https://rentry.org/wan22ldgguide seems to only have a 5 second output and also it's at a lower framerate
in the 2.1 workflow i used from the older rentry, it had an 8 second output at 24fps
am i overlooking something or how do i get 8 second videos with 24 fps for 2.2? i dont really want to poke around on civitai because i remember dudes here posting some extremely cursed workflows that took hours for the equivalent of a schizophrenic ms paint scribble
>>
>>107557319
To get 8 seconds at 24fps with WAN 2.2 find the "Empty Latent Video" node and change frames from 121 to 193 and set any FPS settings to 24. 2.2 workflows default lower because it's more resource heavy than 2.1. You can run 8sec at 24fps fine, just takes longer and more VRAM.Make those changes and you're good. Reply if you can't find the nodes.

The best and brightest C programmers agree: Rust belongs in the Linux kernel!
https://lwn.net/Articles/1049831/
This board tries it's best to portray C and Rust as polar opposites, but in the end they serve the same purpose. Good C programmers have always respected Rust programmers and vice versa. Only the fizzbuzzers and jeets want a language war between C and Rust.

Why do they want it? Because if you split the systems language ecosystem, there will be less competition to their electron/react garbage (see Windows 11 start menu)
Everyone except Indians agrees that anything written in Rust or C is much better than electron garbage. That is why it is important to be friends and allies, not enemies

c is a great language
rust is a great language
c++ is a terrible language and it only survives because people want to flex “look at this cool trick i can do with multiple inheritance and subtle behavior”
>>
>>107544515

C++ was tried in the kernel long ago and it fucking sucked. Linus hates C++ (and anyone who is a good programmer should hate it too).

So all compiler devs are bad programmers? Why doesn't Linus Torvalds (or anyone who is a good programmer) write their own compiler that isn't written by bad programmers?
>>
>>107557326

cause c++ is well suited for the problem “compilers”
an ast is much easier to write in c++ than c, but what you are claiming isn't necessarily true

llvm and clang are written in c++
however, gcc is written in c, and only g++ is written in c++
rustc is written in rust (and originally in ocaml)
swiftc is written in half swift/half c++
kotlin is written in kotlin and java
etc
notice a trend?

Thanks tech bros for ruining the whole world with your LLM slop. No more affordable memory, no more affordable computers, no more jobs, no more human expression of anything but "fuck you", you done real gud. Hey, I sure am glad our societies went all in on digitalization. The costs of running the system will explode too of course and a growing number of citizens won't be able to afford to participate. Sure is great this technology that liberates people from being able to afford anything. But at least the richest people get richer and can hoard all the wealth, and that's the important thing.

I'm not a shill, this thing's expensive and not even out. And i bet the purple plastic degrades faster even if it looks better.

Is the ayn thor good for 3ds? Battery life and replaceability? Touch pad usage? Taking saves and data from a real 3ds? Too much to ask for streetpass?
And why does it say pre order if so many people are already reviewing it

>no even for the first n64 emulator
Was HLE.

Graphics emulation is HLE these days, shader translation.
The 3DS screens weren't very high res and you don't even do 3D on it while emulating. Modern ARM SoCs can play console/PC games from a few years ago already, you think scaling the 3DS up a few times would hurt it when all it's doing is translating shaders? Vulkan and a-sync shader compute and you won't even notice it.

Also as I said, main point was battery life in my post.
It's well known that 3DS emulation on Android is a non-issue even on a mediocre device.
>>
>>107555490
The only thing I'm saying its that the Ayn Thor having 2Tflops should get way way more play time running 0.0048Tflop 3ds games but it barely improve it

I have a Thor.
The Thor is fine for 3DS. Most games are playable at a stable frame rate with 3x resolution. Battery life while playing 3DS games is very good. PC gaming will drain the battery faster than anything else. Turning the second screen off if you aren't using it helps with the battery. Touch pad response is good. No real noticeable latency. If you want to transfer saves between devices, you'll need a 3DS with CFW. Checkpoint is the main piece of software that manages saves. Street pass as far as I am aware is not available.
It says preorder because Ayn is still charging preorder prices for their units.
This will change soon. In general if you want a Thor you might want to get one now before the next batch goes into production. With the state of DDR5 prices right now, Ayn might increase the prices substantially to accommodate, or nerf the next batches somehow.
One more thing to note, the Thor is almost exactly the same size as a 3ds xl, just a bit thicker. It's a good handheld and I am happy with it.

Got camera glass protectors for my iphone. Not because I'm worried the lens would scratch (they still hold up after years of abuse) but because the oleophobic coating had worn off and my fingerprints now stick to the lens very easily. Every other photo I take looks straight out of a dream sequence now.
These are supposed to have an AR coating and oleophobic coating on them. Neither are very good (still better than nothing), guess I'll have to see if they're worth keeping on.
They were $3, maybe I cheaped out too hard, but then again there are even cheaper types out there.
>>
>>107557327
How hard is it to just not touch the lenses or even just wipe them if you do accidentally touch them?
>>
>>107557382
Considering the fucking size of them, very. I would occasionally touch one of them just holding the phone. Almost impossible to avoid when putting the phone back in my pocket.
>wipe
I'd have to carry a microfiber cloth with me. Skin or normal fabric just smear the oil around.

You will own nothing and you will be happy

They purposefully delete the i-frames (or is it b-frames?) to achieve this effect called "video moshing". The frames that are the anchors which the other frames only apply motion to.
