You're just bluffing, you won't ever come back to windows, last time I switched to windows because I couldn't get some game with anti-cheat to work on linux and was immediately filled with regret upon booting windows 10 again and spent many hours debloating it.
I can't imagine how bad windows 11 is to make people think that windows 10 is alright, it must be horrors beyond my imagination and I do not plan to ever touch windows again (except windows XP in a vritual machine kek)

>>
>>107533262
I've just checked your contributions to improving tech over the last decade and you've done literally nothing. care to explain?

Early 2020s: China enacts laws severely crippling the internet for people unless they show ID

Jul 2025 (Online Safety Act): UK enacts laws neutering the internet for people unless they show ID; remains in effect despite initial outcry

Dec 2025 (Online Safety Amendment): Australia enacts laws neutering the internet for people unless they show ID; likely to remain in effect despite current outcry

Apr 2026? (KOSA, made it into the House recently): US enacts laws neutering the internet for people unless they show their IDs

EU has similar shit on the table iirc, they're the fucking EU they love regulation

This will get worse, and this won't go away, at least not in the way you want it to - it'll be an impossibly difficult sell because "THINK OF THE CHILDREN!" Security theater is notoriously difficult to reverse, just compare flying pre and post 9/11. This'll probably be more of the same. Again, UK already had a petition, the gov there just laughed in everyone's faces. Only way any of this is really "going away" is, like, the internet itself going extinct.

Not just this btw, also got countries banning Chinese social media (which in many cases can ironically be less restrictive), Android banning sideloading, etc.

This won't get kids playing outside again. They'll just watch only the government-OK kid-friendly TV, YouTube Shorts, and AI. Sheeple will still use a heavily policed internet and talk to Amanda the AI HR Lady because "brain need dopamine". China's still full of internet addicts despite having long had one of the world's most censored internets.

But we are in democracy and still have the rule of law, okay?
Big corpos and governments intertwining laws and power over the people is totally not fascism, right?
Here in France we deploy ATF to crackdown farmers protests while we do nothing about drug trafficking. Some minorities are absolutely free to do whatever they want with few repercussions or accountability.
Which leads to CBDC rollouts to supposedly tackle money laundering and tax evasion by phaisng out physical cash, but crypto and barter trade are still here.

My company started experimental use of ai agents for legacy projects. the aim is to speed up upgrades making the ai read the entire codebase for me and then applying the required changes. it's a double edged things tho. both convenient and dangerous if you don't know how to use it. for example asking too much will make the agent run out of resources making it hallucinate and writing bullshit that will break your code. using a fast sprints approach as if you were giving tasks in step to a new hire instead sped up the progress greatly. I did in a single day what I'd have to do manually in a work week. I dread the future once this project will be over since I will probably have to go back to coding manually. I am considering buying a year of claude code for personal use simply to make my coding life at work less stressful now. Ever since I started doing code reviewing instead of actual coding the amount of stress from deadline has greatly decreased. I know people like to meme that AI will steal our jobs but maybe having a code agent companion I can guide via prompt isn't so bad
>>
>>107534933

their main issue is the risk of users being able to be deanonymized by shit clients and misconfigurations, then bandwidth concerns. tor project have bigger problems to deal with, such as trying to keep ahead with the software to prevent further denial of service attacks to try and cripple the network and targeting directory authorities

Like, I'm looking for something reasonably stable with security updates that'll work out the box without much maintenance which is why I gave Fedora a shot.

Look at the work by Whitney Webb.

IMO, people are insanely stupid and will accept (they don’t have a choice because it’s up to congress) whatever shit gets pushed down our throats by u.s. intelligence after a major internet/financial false flag. Add in the fact that fields like chemistry, biotechnology, physics, engineering are continuing to rapidly advance, if someone can play with $5,000 in their garage and build stuff capable of killing at mass scale because of new tech, the only choice is a total surveillance state. Very dark times ahead mostly because of rapidly advancing technology.

That's why we must amplify the anti-AI movement.
Part of "owning nothing" is due to a structural crash and outages of semiconductors that will drive any other commodities price to the moon.
Identification is needed to track risks of rebellion and misuse of computational power. Inequality rise and the tech sector being sacralized will lead to social unrest. (((They))) just use our fears to justify the ludicrous means of surveillance, but in fact they just implement solutions over the issues they have created themselves.
