Just like how the allies weren't in the wrong when they were bombing the Nazis. If the Palestinians chose peace instead of war - by negotiating a peace treaty instead of walking away, and not voting for terrorists - they would be in a much better place. The only reason this war has lasted for this long is Israel wanting to avoid harming civilians and especially the hostages. If they wanted to do a genocide, they could've done it in one afternoon by poisoning the water supply.

Switching from Java services to Kotlin/Go seems like make-work. Change my mind.
>>106483746from a technical pov it is even worse, modern java is a much better platform all things considered (performance, support, features including even LLMs are better@java I wager)the pool of java devs are much bigger than kotlin/go. OTOH java is the most jeetified language, so in the white male case it might worth the trade off, but keep in mind working in a niche subpar stack might affect long term employability. Also not dealing with @sprong@ is a blessing.
>>106483746Do non-Indians like working with Java? My gut feeling that it's a pretty hated language.
>>106484524its very old so it's very well documented just by there being millions of forum posts asking basic questions about it so eventually you can find one that isn't an SO tier "You're trying to do X? Just do Y instead :)"

2.4KiB avif vs. 2.8KiB jpgWhy the difference in quality?

On a related note it's worth noting that we really take 4chan for granted sometimes. They could just take your PNG/4:4:4 JPG uploads and Nvjpeg encode them to a 4:2:0 JPG. Profit line would go up and other users would then save these abominations, upload them, and the whole incestous process would begin again. Like even though webp isn't supported yet nothing is stopping you from say using Guetzli.
>>106484428It's almost as if bandwith isnt much of a problem in the age of free CDNs.And 20 years ago, when bandwidth was spare, people also used png and jpeg. There really isn't much use in those current-thing temporary image formats that get replace all two years.
>>106484554Nah, you're getting this impression because you spend too much time on a mongolian basket weaving forum where samefagging became so rampant that 4chan decided to get rid of the IP counter. So it's really like a few samefags per thread opening/uploading images every once in a while. That's is like taking a piss in an ocean of piss with the latter being what high traffic websites have to deal with. CDNs have made it more manageable not necessarily cheaper. We could just not rely on these CDNs and P2P everything but then the cloudflare mafia would DDOS that too. why do tech companies keep firing high performing veteran employees? cutting costs is not an intelligent solution. its a smokescreen to cover for foreign born and dual citizen CEOs running these companies into the ground to subvert American tech industry.
Kpi goes up if cost per employee goes down, nothing else really matters to them
If management knew how to do the work they would be doing the work not managing it. Since they lack insight they don't know how to manage the tasks properly. What they do may as well be arbitrary. They're always detrimental to the company.
