Can someone explain to me why you would even remotely in any situation need a third party image viewer?

Is there a reason besides something that you have zero evidence for and doesn't actually happen and thus isn't the actual reason anyone chooses a third party image viewer

Is there any general way to be able to use a laptop strictly through power without it touching the battery? I know this seems something more suited to a Google search but there's so much conflicting information that I couldn't get a proper answer, sometimes apparently you could simply remove the battery and use it like that, sometimes apparently the laptop won't post without the battery.

And there's a bunch of brand specific BIOS stuff that also depends on the laptop model and it's all so confusing.

I will mainly be using my laptop intensely and I don't wanna kill the battery because of it, so in general is it bad if I constantly use it while it's plugged in? And if so what are some remedies?

It used to be more common in older laptops where you could easily physically detach the battery. Nowadays, I really doubt it's possible in most cases. I wouldn't worry, just run the battery and replace it when the performance of it becomes unacceptable to you. You'll likely get a few good years out of it.
>>
>>106541319
You can still detach the batteries easily. Just that they are no longer external.

I'm pretty sure lenovo does kind of what you want. I have a newish thinkpad that I've mostly kept plugged in with battery threshold for almost 4 years and I've only accumulated 24 charge cycles on the battery from the battery slowly discharging from 80% to 40% every 1.5-2 months. It doesn't draw from the battery while plugged in and I've kept the laptop on almost daily for about 4-8 hours a day. This is without any tinkering besides setting the battery threshold. In the few times I've recently had to go unplugged, the battery still lasted 4-8 hours just like it did on day 1.

Because sooner or later you’ll run out of CAD files to email them and they’ll just start making their own shit without you, perhaps even forcing you out of their market to give preferential treatment to the home brand. While you don’t even know the first thing about setting up an injection mold without them.
See: apple’s current struggles with china.

New Apple Airpods to translate conversations in foreign languages — in real time

The new AirPods Pro 3 have improved audio quality and noise cancelling. One new feature is that they will be able to translate conversations in foreign languages in real time. They cost $249, the same price as their predecessor.

>normally no fucks about Apple releases, but I may need these.

I have the Airpods Pro 2 currently, will get the 3s when they wear out.

They don't do any translation, the phone does. You need two mics and two sets of speakers to do anything like this anyway. Only now the audio quality might be good enough, but you'll find out when your terrible iPhone Spanish causes Jose to clobber your dumb fucking gringo ass or not.
>>
>>106538690
>(which may be never because they are tough as shit)
I've had the complete opposite experience. My airpods always end up failing on me. I've had to get 3 replacements (Thank god for Apple Care+).

One side always gets worse than the other within the span of a couple months, and my ears are always cleaned.

It ended up redpilling me on wired headphones.
>>
>>106538940
They said the LLM translates on the phone
>>106538889
You talk in English and your phone displays Spanish and you hold your phone out and let the other person see
If the other person is blind or illiterate, then it can talk out loud
>>
So does this mean these new airpods are constantly listening and sending audio to the phone, and then to the LLM which is constantly processing the spoken words to see if they're non-English and then translate?

He’s a gem, his purity is heartwarming. He should be leading the nation’s cybercrime division, or perhaps an informational division that warns citizens about various scams. He is quite a good actor too, his improvisational skills are top notch and most characters have motivations, skills, accents… multiple characters at a time (up to 3 is the max I’ve seen) that I think most Hollywood actors would struggle with if asked to improv, the way he does. It is very hard to try to come up with something fresh when it’s the same script over and over. I pray to God everyday that he is safe.

I'm sure he could pay some guy in india a literal dollar or two. But if you've ever hired or worked with a wage slave, you would know they do a SHIT job, ESPECIALLY some poor indian. They would not be motivated to act angry in a convincing way. You would have to find someone decent, motivated, more expensive. And now we're back to square 1. Why the FUCK would you pay real money for shit when you can call thousands of scam call centers?

I once saw a case of UB in the standard library of Rust, where the UB was in the section of code with lots of SAFETY comments.

https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/commit/71f5cfb21f3fd2f1740bced061c66ff112fec259

SAFETY comments do not magically make the code correct or free of UB.

Rust is for people too stupid to learn how to manage memory themselves. Historically these kind of people were filtered out of the industry once they started doing anything non trivial. Now they have shit like Rust, Java, Js, Python etc etc which allows them to continue shitting out garbage code because they do not have to worry about the memory layout or structure of their program, the language does it for them, albeit, poorly. This results in a subclass of programmers that are about as good as 1st year CS undergrads who proceed to shit out more and more garbage software while giving said people an over abundance of confidence which is not warranted. This is true in almost every domain and it's part of the reason why the world is in a rush to the bottom. It will never get better until society cracks under the collective incompetence of the work force and greed of the pay masters.
