also added an in-line CD player and 3 sets of speakers for maximum music quality while I'm animating

Oh my god what's wrong with your faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaűtőtest?
>>
>>107586057
yeah I got a whole proccess worked out since I draw best on a specific type of paper and such
first I draw and paint the background, and can it in.
for the animation I draw each frame in pencil, and outline in pen, leaving behind pencil lines for shading an motion lines, etc
I scan a whole pile of frames into my computer with my top loading scanner
after that I load the image into the GIMP and use the color erase feature to turn the black and white image into a black inking on transparent background, making sure to set the color mode to greyscale to cut out any artifact colors
then I use the path tool to outline certain parts of the image, such as the shading and so forth, and store those in a separate layer for later
then I use the fill tool with the line art setting, you have to tweak the threshold just right to get it to work properly, on a background layer, this takes care of the initial coloring, now you bring back the shading layer from before and repeat the process for the shading tones (don't use black, look up shading using color theory it's a whole different beast)
it sounds like it takes a long time but I can kick out 30-40 seconds of drawn cells every day and the color work only takes a few days more than that, so I can do about 10 minutes of full color animation at 24 fps every month

You probably had some cheap Temu/Aliexpress garbage that didn't meet the BS1363 standards spec. It's been a big problem over the last several years, not just for bongs but lots of other countries too - total trash that isn't legal.

It's hard to tell if it's incompetence and cheapness/jewry on the part of the Chink manufacturers or deliberate malice by the CCP to flood our countries with unsafe trash as a form of subversive lowkey economic warfare. Never ascribe to malice what can be more simply ascribed to stupidity, I know, but with the Chinese one can never be too sure.

Well even with a super cheap Schuko plug that just straight up won't happen. the socket itself provides the stability for the plug to not break off.
Sure, my adaptor wasn't made well enough, but still, It's a shitty design to have the prongs visible when plugging it in and you know it.

Majority of posts are the same style. Doesn't make much sense to try and associate 2 posts like that regardless while anonymous, isn't that the point.

What is "discord language"? I don't monitor them enough to understand what they're trying to claim credit for. Some marketing thing?

>so what made you give up on the reply chain? attention span?
I mentioned to the Anon that I don't know what they're referencing, and they continued to go on a tangent.
I.e. like I said previously, I don't understand what their perspective is, it's kind of arbitrary and doesn't seem relevant.

No, they still have to maintain the code, if they don't want to then the user should fork or use an alternative, or come up with a compelling reason for the dev to support it. "Good ones exist" isn't a compelling reason
>>
Firefox forks are never a good idea. They will always be behind in security patches because some autistic guy in Estonia cannot keep up with all the changes.
>>
>>107585122
he is half right. the feature should be removed if all it does is connect to someone else's machine to send queries to their model.
the only way to keep it would be to make it so you can point it at any model you want. they probably can't do that, so removing it is the next best thing.

I think the trial was a one time thing and I've already used it back when NBP was launched. GPT 1.5 is actually perfectly usable on lmarena today, even if you don't have almost two dozens of alternative OAI accounts, it's NBP that is being a pain. Things are getting much better now though, probably because of time zones...

I've not seen that cartoon to be honest, I had to catch up. Not a great fan of turning into an external entity what is essentially a human phenomenon (i.e. externalisation). But I guess it might be psychologically more desirable for mass-media than indicting people directly, though. It's one thing that emerged in the last few years, between many others; people don't like self-flagellation, on the whole.
>>107585896
Did you solve it, anon? Making another account would be the quickest way to find it out obviously, I've never had this issue (and I triggered the violation of TOS quite often, albeit it's usually without a reference picture).
>>
>>107586074
I'm able to attach images, but now it seems to be blocking a prompt that used to work hours ago even if I don't try to attach a second explanatory image it didn't like (I must've gotten ~30 errors trying to send variations of the second image).
>>
>>
>>107586125
That sounds unlikely to be an account-specific issue, albeit it doesn't hurt to try, probably the prompt got flagged together with that picture? lmarena can be quite strict in bizarre ways, sometimes just changing stuff like "embracing" into "hugging" can work, but other times I have no real idea what their filter is even looking for and I'd rather prompt stuff directly in the model's official service or in another third party one.

why don't you see more people attempting to utilize this feature on their personal computers? you can essentially lock down your entire C: drive so that changes to the filesystem are saved ephemerally and lost on reboot, and then manually create exceptions for directories that need persistent changes.
with that plus a data drive you basically get all the benefits of an immutable system that nixos and silverblue are targeting.
i can install applications/games via scoop and use my desktop as normally, save pictures, do my work, etc. but the core windows installation essentially exists in a frozen state. changes to C: are saved either in ram or another location on disk and then scrubbed at boot.
why don't i see people trying to leverage this for home use cases? is it just because it's a command-line tool?

kek
>>
>>107584168
you can turn it off and on as needed. so for updates or changes you just turn it off, run the update, and turn it back on. it requires some rebooting but the advantage is also more deliberate updating. kind of ideal if you plan to update infrequently.
>>107584213
i'd assume but i'm talking about people on /g/ not windows users at large. i thought most of you are running iot ltsc.
>>107584280
well then stay where you are. i use nixos on all my other machines. i discovered this while trying to make a windows computer i need to use as nixos-like as possible.
it's not atomic, or entirely reproducible, configurations aren't declarative. but i can do a fresh unattented windows install, use winget to import a list of programs to install, and then run a powershell script that freezes windows after i get it set up how i like it.
accomplishing this with a variety of awful microsoft tools makes me appreciate how elegantly nixos handles things that's for sure.

Selfhosted GitHub Actions will become paywalled in 3 months.
Your CI/CD pipeline that runs on your own selfhosted hardware will become a paid feature thanks to M$.

OP here, thanks for the news.
They didn't even bother to write another email clarifying this.
Still our team will switch away from GitHub and use Forgejo and Forgejo Actions instead, we can't trust them anymore.
>“We’re postponing the announced billing change for self-hosted GitHub Actions to take time to re-evaluate our approach.”
So they will proceed to nickel and dime anyway, just with a different strategy.

>>107586188
GitHub reversed its decision for now but I'm sure their internal teams saw the numbers and thought that the number of businesses using selfhosted runners is high enough to justify charging for this feature without losing many customers.
