Honesty, Niri is the only WM I'd want to do dev and qa work on as it allows you to have tons of Windows open in a workspace with very easy re positioning. Normal stacking WM are painful to use unless you have multiple monitors and don't mind straining your neck turning your head constantly. Normal TWM are good, but you'll either have to move stuff around constantly or switch workspaces. With Niri I can keep 10+ work related windows open in Workspace 1 and be able to switch to other workspaces for personal task. Mac users can also experience it with PaperWM, so if my work made me use a Mac I'd use that.
