crack one open and you'll see why. the leds are overdriven to get them as bright as possible.you car led headlights gonna have the same problem.
>>
>>107855589
Real answer?
Your network card don't send a lot of current to your LEDs, because they don't need to be bright enough to lit a room, and because, even if cutting corners is a given when building laptop, it's not that pinchy.

Your lightbulb LEDs on the other hand are produced to be as cheap as possible in very very large quantities, and should emit as much light as possible for the price.
They can afford to make it burn in 6 months, when you don't even remember where you buy it anyway.
So they use the cheapest resistor available and let pass way more current than reasonable to make it brighter.
If you want LED lightbulb that last virtually forever, just change the resistor yourself (5 cents and 1h if you have never done it before) or try to find "dubai" lamps (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klaJqofCsu4).
>>
>>107855911
See Dubai light bulbs, also.

Definitely makes my tinfoil feel justified.

Seems like a good DIY project, except for the possibility of making your life hell if you need to claim insurance on a house fire.
>>
>>107855589
Usually what fails in led lightbulbs is the ac->dc converter, the led is perfectly fine.

The FAQ and the library covers Electronic Warfare, which is intelligence, and there is also some tradecraft in there too.
>>
>>107853974
But why? What is it even about? I see it posted in every cyb thread but never discussed
>>
>>107854658
It is about a lone protestor in a /cyb/ dystopia.
From the description:
>Vance just wanted to make the most out of his college experience under a totalitarian regime, and if that meant hacking into the university to assign himself a hot female roommate, then so be it. The last thing he expected was to be dragged into a crazy conspiracy to overthrow the government by his most-definitely-not-female roommate. Between failed dates, failed grades, and successful hacks, Vance will slowly begin to question the morality of his actions and the true price of freedom.
>>
>>107854886
Fascinating, does he get a hot girlfriend too?

How are your hacking plans going, anon?

How do I check if there's a virus that's planted itself on a drive (non-bootable; backup)? I'm wholly ignorant with regards to knowing what a virus can and cannot do, so I don't know what precautions to take to ensure another system/drive doesn't get infected. I don't believe I have any reason to worry, but I just want 100% assurance (even though there's almost no such thing).

Are virus/malware scanners sufficient? What then if something is found, and how to discern between a false positive? Do I just nuke my partition table and use recovery software to recover my files?

They’re just using AI as a stakeholder approved way to get rid of what sounds like an enormous overhiring of developers. What the fuck does an insurance company need 300 devs for? Like, maybe 100 max (not including IT and sysadmin guys), and I’d expect most of them to be working on crazy predictive algorithm shit to Jew policyholders out of even more money.

Start doing this IMMEDIATELY

Hold meetings outside of work hours will all the devs, make sure you don't allow a single Indian Hindu rape rat "dev" to join. Start accusing all the Hindu devs of making anti-Muslim and anti-black comments and reporting it to HR. You will need the latter later on when they try to outsource all of your jobs to India, and you claim it creates a hostile work environment for all your black and PoC devs (and all of your white devs who definitely converted to Islam). This will also be important to push back in the media by leaking the details about how management knew about Hindu barbarism but kept trying to outsource anyway.

Next try to unionize as soon as possible. Like, now. Seriously, just do it and do whatever it takes. You can find endless resources on how to unionize. The company will try to use divide and conquer tactics and convince you that 20% of the devs are doing 80% of the work and you should be in favor of trimming the fat- don't fall for any of that.

Finally you have the nuclear option- go to the media and leak leak leak. That's where all of those HR reports and complaints you submitted come in. The worst thing you can do at this point is be yet another crop of techbros who goes meekly into the poo as you get replaced by Indian Hindu rape rat invaders. Make noise, kick, scream, burn things, go full scorched earth if you have to so the invaders have nothing to work with.

>>107854905
we have enclaves of ~100 h1b jeets. if you click through the org chart there are literally thousands of offshore jeets doing 95% of the development and database management. nothing works, im not kidding. they cant keep a sql server db up for more than 24 hrs and we lose permissions every 3 days. this is not a joke or a goddamn game
