It's been years since Atomic Heart got Denuvo. Why haven't they removed it yet? The sales can't be that high anymore to justify it, right?
>>
>>107544656
>>107544646
Pretty obvious they've adjusted their prices per contract otherwise it just wouldn't be worth it. Also if you really want to play these games people have been doing offline bypasses for years. It's all automated now too.
>>
>>107544700
If they can't just adjust their prices, why haven't they done it for indie games yet? Indie games can't afford any of this shit.

>offline bypasses for years
How would that even work?
>>
>>107544709
can*
>>
>>107544709
Probably because they don't want to lower it too much. Also indi games don't want denuvo. The backlash and fewer people playing your game pirated or not is worse for sales.

>How would that even work?
I dunno. I legit don't care about any denuvo game to bother. Google denuvo pub and you should find it. It breaks with windows updates though.

what does Wayland have to do with this
>>
>>107543164
Been seeing a lot of T480 videos pop up on my recommendations these past few months and it makes sense. Plenty of ports, first generation that had quadcore CPUs vice dual core, DGPU option, socketed ram, 2.5k screen (touch capable too if one wanted) option, WWAN SSD support, and even dual batteries. Enthusiasts even figured out how to mod the 25th anniversary's 7-row keyboard onto it, since the T470 and T480 are physically near identical and even back in 2017 some people were bitching that the 25 was stuck on T470/Kaby Lake hardware. Basically the ideal secondhand Thinkpad.
>>
>>107544637
>ideal
Except for the shitty build. I'm still perplexed at how the brittle front clips made it into the final product.
>>
>>107544712
Holdover from the previous generations since they only overhaul the chasis every few years compared to refreshing hardware every year. But I agree, clips on laptops are an abomination even though engineers seem to love them. Shit just breaks, are annoying to disassemble, and they never feel right putting them back on.

lol as a long time neet I can tell you AI is the best thing to ever fucking happen ever. It angers inkcels and allows me to spend my time creating sex stories that are not censored by big corpos and online puritanical faggots like a lot of you rw retards. It also makes OF and other low effort shit sellers seethe a fuckload. AI has also helped me in many other aspects of life where people pay wall shit or get angry when asked questions. Also this "slop" you talk about provides me with tons of new content that is hilarious. I've spent hours looking at normies and others trying to prompt porn on sora2. All these newfags on 4chan do not understand the lengths nudity and sex will get people to go. As soon as its easy for people to generate sex and other explicit shit easily without censorship everyone will stopping giving a fuck about "slop".

what I mean by easy I mean they log in and prompt a few words with a cheap subscription of $10 a month and get hours length content. Right now its all censored shit and the cost to pay for content created porn from normies is far to much for to little. When porn on the internet is basically free people will pay for premium content or more then that 10 second downloaded clip (like it used to be).

Also wanted to add that even though I fucking hate inkcels I don't think they have anything to worry about unless what they produce is dog shit to begin with or overpriced and they think they deserve more.

Early 2020s: China enacts laws severely crippling the internet for people unless they show ID

Jul 2025 (Online Safety Act): UK enacts laws neutering the internet for people unless they show ID; remains in effect despite initial outcry

Dec 2025 (Online Safety Amendment): Australia enacts laws neutering the internet for people unless they show ID; likely to remain in effect despite current outcry

Apr 2026? (KOSA, made it into the House recently): US enacts laws neutering the internet for people unless they show their IDs

EU has similar shit on the table iirc, they're the fucking EU they love regulation

This will get worse, and this won't go away, at least not in the way you want it to - it'll be an impossibly difficult sell because "THINK OF THE CHILDREN!" Security theater is notoriously difficult to reverse, just compare flying pre and post 9/11. This'll probably be more of the same. Again, UK already had a petition, the gov there just laughed in everyone's faces. Only way any of this is really "going away" is, like, the internet itself going extinct.

Not just this btw, also got countries banning Chinese social media (which in many cases can ironically be less restrictive), Android banning sideloading, etc.

This won't get kids playing outside again. They'll just watch only the government-OK kid-friendly TV, YouTube Shorts, and AI. Sheeple will still use a heavily policed internet and talk to Amanda the AI HR Lady because "brain need dopamine". China's still full of internet addicts despite having long had one of the world's most censored internets.

It all started in 2011-2012, when Russia had its biggest anti-corruption protests (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011%E2%80%932013_Russian_protests), and opposition figures like Navalny started pooping up. An agency no one had heard of before (Riskomnadzor) appeared out of nowhere and started forcing ISPs to block websites en masse. This same agency also started bullying western social networks and websites, threatening to completely ban them in Russia if they didn't remove content that the Russian government didn't like. Between then and 2022, they must have blocked tens of thousands of websites under various bogus pretenses. The 2022 full scale invasion made things much much worse of course. There was suddenly a need to censor enormous amounts of data about the war and make sure that ordinary Russians only get their information about it from the government and nowhere else. And now it's gotten to the point where their internet is getting even more restricted than China's. But none of this stuff is new, really, the Russian government has been talking about creating its own "sovereign" heavily restricted Cheburnet at least since the 2000s.

And yeah, I think what we're seeing in the west right now is essentially preparation for WW3. Everyone is trying to restrict their internet to prevent cyberattacks. They're just not telling the cattle about the real reason this is happening so as not to scare them and cause panic. It's much easier to say "we want to protect muh kids", most normies won't even try opposing it.

That's really fucked up and sad, I mean it's amazing that we will have official Commodore 64s running at 48MHz with all kinds of new mapped storage devices and extra RAM. But it's also sad that this is, probably, the most exciting computer thing to happen since 64 bit became a thing, which in reality didn't actually help anything but large web pages of GARBAGE and lazy multi-absraction gaymes.

I would like to see a new computer with 3D capability, amazing sound including hardware dedicated VST host, etc. and fast sprites. Something that doesn't do the modern web but supports online matching and gaming. And you can do it all in BASIC. Interestingly the new Commodore owner has hatched up a dev lab with a lot of the OG Commodore people, Jay Miner heading it up, where they are going to come up with something next-gen that beats Amiga and Commodore times Atari. Now I might not buy a turbo C64 but I probably would buy whatever they ultimately cook up.

This computer would dominate. Who would buy a Switch? Honestly it should happen and it would slay.

Yes, Commodore management committed sudoku out of sheer incompetence.
>>
>>107543360
It's a fresh start without the problems of Commodore in its incarnations. But the old hats are also ALL in. They have said the new C64 is just basically, the thing they are going to sell for now to build up money and such and make a NEW computer. Kind of a successor to the Amiga really more than a C65 type machine. The dude said he doesn't want to compete with any of the current going fan made machines which is cool too.
>>
or just buy a cheap ARM SBC and enjoy vastly superior 2D and 3D graphics, superior sound quality (SID chips can easily be emulated), any programming language (including BASIC) you like and it can browse the internet, cheap SD card storage, loads of GPIO/I2C options for hardware tinkering and run any Linux and BSD OS.

Is the genx nostalgia market really big enough to accomplish anything in current year?
>>
>>107543067
From what I'm getting the new C64 is just a linux box with extra fluff so eh? It's no different from Chinkware handhelds running Emulationstation.
And what you described is just pointless because sadly computers don't work like that anymore. Nobody is losing their minds over 3D rendering, spirets and lol BASIC. You're an autistic 40yo guy with no sense of reality and thickest nostalgia google.
>>
>>107544636
>From what I'm getting the new C64 is just a linux box with extra fluff so eh?
That was the OLD new C64. The NEW new C64 is a turbo enhanced "real" one with extra stuff onboard like a RAM drive, direct access from BASIC to the SD card, other stuff.

It's completely different from emulators.
