If you're interested in org-table manipulation, check out org-sbe, it's a fucking incredible feature that's barely documented anywhere. It lets you call named source blocks from table formulas in any language:
(C-c C-c on the tblfm section)
This reverses the strings in column #2 (tblfm: $2 means second column in the table)
