I was going to buy a digital PS5 until I found out games cost $30-60 and you can't pirate games on new consoles because there are no exploits for newer firmwares.
seriously, who the FUCK pays $30-60 for a fucking game?

whats with all the negative sentiment on older windows versions?
>don't use xp, look at this video, the minute he connects to the Internet he's already got a virus!!!!!!!
that isn't even remotely true and in that video he clearly states that he turned off the firewall and purposefully opened up a backdoor to his computer
ive literally been using Windows 7 since its launch and my computer still works perfectly fine

My Digital Life forums. Not home right now so I don't have access to the exact link.

There's also an XP build on github but it's based on an older (yet still usable) version much newer than latest official build natively running on the platform. Again, don't have access to the link.

2003 is based and stable as anything else, but can't justify running it because I don't really have any usecase for any if it's server-specific features (except for raw socket support, which I re-enabled with a third party patch anyways).

No it doesn't. You're outright lying. I have the same card and it's a pain in the ass to use. You have access to a fraction of the models available because the majority are built for CUDA and nVidia
I hate nVidia. I am exclusively AMD, but I'm not a corporate bootlicker and can admit when the completion is just better in this or that regard

What models/tools failed? I've been able to run anything I've thrown at it, LLM chatbots, image/vid gen, speech synth, and I've used rcom and zluda although each has differing performance. Unless you are talking about training specifically which I haven't tried and nvidia does still have the advantage.

I just downloaded Linux for the first time to get away from Windows bloatware and I had to input 7 commands in the command line to install ProtonVPN including one to download a separate program that allows system tray icons.... is this really the best we have? On Windows and MacOS I just hit install and it installs....

You could have input two or three commands and gotten rid of the bloatware on Microsoft or just download LTSC in the first place. You went full retard for nuclear option and now you're gonna have to input 7+ commands everytime you want to install a program for the rest of your life

10 year old Intel motherboards had a hardware RAID integrated onto chipset

what would happen if its used?

1) put 2x SATA HDD into SATA ports
2) configure as mirror RAID

lets say the motherboard brakes down, what then?

is the info on two drives recoverable with any other boards SATA connector? an AMD?

or did the year 2013 Intel chipset connectors somehow mess around with a HDD format so that it cannot be read without the correct chipset?

use PCI32bit Promise RAID controller card:

My one and only experience with this was a mirror (RAID1) I had set up on an old sandy bridge Lenovo s30, using the Intel hardware raid. I built a new (Linux) PC (AMD coincidentally) and, at least initially, it would read the contents. I eventually decided ntfs in Linux bordered on self-harm and opted to reformat to ext4 and restored from backups and rebuilt the raid in mdadm.

If id had the data striped across multiple disks I have no idea if I could have recreated the raid. I suspect it would be possible but beyond my skill.
>>
>>107875793
Intel to Intel is pretty much guaranteed to work.
You can go from Z77 to Z890 with a RAID array and the new board will recognize it.
Even further backwards is possible.

Why is YouTube's UI basically unusable now? What kind of incompetent retard thought it would be a good idea to put text and icons over video with barely any background behind it?

Connect it to a TV and stream whatever you like in whatever way you like, customize the interface to how you want it, and have no ads. An old laptop is also a suitable option for this. I've never understood why people with nonzero technical knowledge buy these locked down TV sticks instead.

You can buy a Dynalink TV Box 4K (2021)

The user doesn't even know they can donate. They may not even know who KDE is. That notification displayed once a year allows them to inform their users politely and remind them that there is no big corporation behind KDE. It's all built by volunteers.
The simple act of informing people will spur more donations to help improve the project. Nothing is ever free of cost. KDE has infrastructure to fund, etc.

I would wager most people don't donate to XFCE because they don't know about the project. They'll throw money Linux Mints way, etc, though because they highlight donations but not to XFCE. There's nothing wrong with educating your users. If they donate then great but if not it's no big deal.

VE obviously stood down.
They have manpads, too, that could have taken out a bunch of shit.
They were trying to trigger a response, got none, they’re like “now what do we do?”
And now we have to house two more illegal immigrants for 30 years at about $120,000 per year, not including the million a minute the armada is costing to lay siege to some third world country.
Statistically, probably around 20 of our soldiers died from accidents already.
And, we killed around 80, with half of those being civilians for this political stunt.
Also, they would be certainly be covering our actual losses because of the potential fallout.

Is there any reason we shouldn't be blanketing our land with wind turbines and solar panels? Oil and gas are deadends. Fusion won't be cheaper than Fission. Both are too hard to roll out in huge numbers.

Except that oil and gas work anon. The entire world runs on oil and gas. I want to see more renewables but for what tech we have now, oil and gas just work. You ever try to start up an electric vehicle in -40c while you're trying to get to work? Diesels just start up and go, they are self warming, they work through every weather condition. Same with ships. I'm afraid we haven't progressed much with this in the last century.
>>

oil is constantly regenerating. how the fuck do you think we got it in the first place? do you think it's all made out of dinosaurs? kek
>>
>>107868044
the world is going that way anon. if batteries get even cheaper than today, you will see every city, every car and truck, use solar energy or energy from batteries, simply because solar costs $0 during sunny days. we won't see whole countries having blackouts anymore. and it will happen faster than you can imagine it. chinese, american and european companies are already producing lifepo4 and sodium batteries. as soon as they ramp up production and make batteries cheap, you will see electrical companies buying batteries like crazy.
