The superiority of RU7 has lead to some controversy.

>>107625820>>107625826Am I understanding correctly that you're using Kandria?
>>107627161No no Kandria was just to answer the question regarding if you could make a game in CL.
>>107627169So it's an inhouse engine?
>>107627179Yeah! Using Raylib, will probably switch to SDL3 when it's a bit more mature but it's been working out fine. It's about 20k LOC right now. Dependencies are Jolt (joltc) for physics, Recast (my own C binds) for navigation/pathfinding, and Clay for UI layout. All of those get wrapped in a /comfy/ (for me) API and then the rest is all me (particles/entity management/state machines/timelines/assets/animation blending/blablabla).Highly recommend CL. GC has been the only real nag but that goes for all GC langs.

Why doesn't MS get enough credit for DirectX?Every GPU innovation ever only exist because Microsoft kickstarted it through DirectX. Remember when GPU went from the separated Vertex and Pixel shaders paradigm to the unified shaders paradigm around 2006 ? That was because Microsoft rewrote their graphical API stack for WIndows Vista and the Xbox 360. NVidia and ATI only created GPUs that would work with the new API.DX12 on Windows PCs and Xbox is pretty kino.

When Will Japan start using non-woke operating systems? Why are they obsesed with woke american operating sistems lol?
>>107626976What operating system is non-pozzed in its entirety? Only one that comes to mind are RedStar OS and Artix, I think. Both are Linux distros, of which the kernel is maintained by Linus, and some consider him a faggot. Nippon used to have their own architecture and OS in development, but Gates and the states had to intervene. I think computing would be a bit different if Gates weren't such a nigger. I've seen it argued that the US' intervention with Nippon's market is part of what allowed China to take global dominance in manufacturing. I think that's oversimplifying things, but it's funny to imagine the US creating their own competition/opposition. Wonder where I've seen that before...

Any version of Windows since 1995 has been more polished, production-ready and user-friendly than any Linux distro ever made. That's obvious to anybody who has installed both of them on the same machine. Are Linux users just lying about their distros being a better experience than a Windows installation?
>>107621970I love how in /g/ theres always a bait thread like this, they never say anything of value and have poor understanding of what is an open OS and why the issues that exist are due to the lack of a private identity and unfair marginalisation.
>>107626636same guyalso lmao, pretend that windows 11 is any good for ANY kind of user
>>107626643Windows 11 is more polished than any of your distros
>>107621970Because when you move past being a basic bitch user and want to do anything you soon realize how restrictive Windows is, and how often Microsoft simply controls something for the sake of controlling it.For example. Say I wanted to get my product key to move it to another computer. They flag key grabbers as viruses to prevent this.Counter question. Why are Windows users so obsessed with lazy useability at the cost of their privacy, customizability, and dignity?
