Do people really change their keyboards and mice every 2 years or even every year?
I've been using my keyboard since mid-00s (BTC 8190A).
I've been using my mouse since mid-10s (Logitech M100).

It is, but YT has already been getting less and less viable as a career post covid. They're a big channel, so if even they're complaining you know the pressure is on.

I will say that as much as I enjoyed RLM 10 years ago their content for the past 5+ years has clearly been less inspired and more focused on bloating the runtime of each video. That's most youtubers though.
>>

First they just promoted whatever got the most views.
Then they promoted daily 10 minute uploads.
Then they promoted 3 hour documentaries.
What now? How did they change it this time?

Anyone know a good case with the magsafe feature and magsafe battery bank that would fit a Flip 5? Finding myself in situations where im not that close to an outlet during work and need something a tad more portable without the hassle of wires. I'm still taking a spare USB-C cable with me with my charging block when it the chance to use them does appear though.

I like my Pitaka case with my S25 Ultra, it has magnets but I've never used them. Stupidly got rid of my 25W 2M magsafe puck and magsafe wallet when I got rid of my iPhone. I hear it fucks with the S-pen though, but only when something is attached but that hasn't come up for me and shouldn't be a concern on the Flip 5. Also looking on their site it doesn't look like the two cases they currently offer for your phone have magnets.

I usually just use my power bank and cord anyway, with a folding wall adapter also in my bag for when I'm near an outlet.

Don't buy anything OTHER THAN IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T, X, and W/P Series if you want the Real Business Experience™

Cause it's funny. I don't really need that though, I just like it and find it amusing. I collect factory accessories for my old cars, so it's kinda the same in my mind. Practically wins out, the only real constraint is I'd like to not spend more than $50 without a serious reason to.

I have the larger IBM branded Thinkpad bag that comfortably fits a 17" laptop, has room for my T60 WXGA and T430, pic related.

It's very good, very durable, the strap is comfortable, there's a few up on ebay right now. Has traveled to all 48 CONUS and had no issues.

>>106528651

To be fair the Thinkpad bags are some of the best OEM bags out there

t. owns one, two newer Dell bags and an old Dell one made of leather for the C610, C640, etc. They're just a good all-around laptop bag.
>>
>>106528701

Also prior to owning my T60, I used that Thinkpad bag to carry my Latitude E6520 which was my daily driver for 10 years. It's a good all-around bag and that storage pouch can easily hold a power supply and a couple external devices, mouse and mousepad.

t. OTR semi-truck driver.

All of them have two points. The inner end is always floating with cables coming out of it. The real compromise is elsewhere e.g. riveted keyboard, easily scratched aluminium case.

Intel has a tool for getting CUDA to work on Arc GPUs, called "Intel Extensions for Pytorch" or "xpu".
They also maintain a fork of Ollama that makes use of xpu.
Can't comment on whether it works well or not, but there are some signposts for you.
>>
>>106526018
>>106528174
I forget to mention, the fork is called IPEX-LLM.
>>
>>106528142
Yup, about that.
It's worth noting that the same scales apply for the 24GB cards. It's 24GB NEW not a used 3090 that's been through 5 years of misery and chugs an additional 150W of power. Slower in compute and memory bandwidth yes, but still a load of VRAM. If you put that on a new system like you said, pair it with as much RAM as you can and you're in big model territory.
For people who have the idea that old cards are good enough, buy one of the many 3090's that are still in demand. It's availability BNIB that will impact prices across the board too.
>>
>>106528342
I think the supposed downsides to used cards are overstated. The one thing of value to me that LTT ever produced is his video on used mining cards, and he didn't find any flaws with the majority of the cards. Chips don't really fail in that way. Age related failure is more of a mechanical wear thing, but a conductive piece of silicon remains a conductive piece of silicon with usage.
I actually just recently bought a used 3090 because NVIDIA's sales strategy for the 50 series here has caused the price of 3090s to fall pretty hard. It's still in the post but I'm looking forward to it arriving for my server build.
That said, even though I like used, I'm going to be looking for used Arc next time around for sure.
I don't really feel any brand loyalty to any components company, so for me this is great because it's disruptive and hurts the notion that high VRAM should be really expensive. Feels like a bit of a price bubble might be about to burst.
