>>
>>107681315
>>107682511
You're so desperate for people to praise you for falling for the HDR scam
How about you accept you're part of a delusional minority already
Just a little bit of calibration and brightness, and SDR still makes your HDR snake oil irrelevant
>>
>>107682536
This happens in SDR you fucking brainlet each application handles color profiling differently.
>>107682542
Its just weird anon that's all.
>>107682544
I'm sorry you are so brain damaged HDR and SDR have no perceptible difference to you.

> The human senses of sight and hearing have a relatively high dynamic range. However, a human cannot perform these feats of perception at both extremes of the scale at the same time. The human eye takes time to adjust to different light levels, and its dynamic range in a given scene is actually quite limited due to optical glare. The instantaneous dynamic range of human audio perception is similarly subject to masking so that, for example, a whisper cannot be heard in loud surroundings.
> ...
> In practice, it is difficult for humans to achieve the full dynamic experience using electronic equipment. For example, a good quality liquid-crystal display (LCD) has a dynamic range limited to around 1000:1,[b] and some of the latest CMOS image sensors now[when?] have measured dynamic ranges of about 23,000:1.[15][c] Paper reflectance can produce a dynamic range of about 100:1.[16] A professional video camera such as the Sony Digital Betacam achieves a dynamic range of greater than 90 dB in audio recording.[17]
Is it not sufficient to capture HDR raw data and then map that to whatever range you want?

That can do 4K? I got told it can only do 1440p. But I see it barely breaking a sweat with 1440p...

list is fine, however
You can save money going with b850 unless you care about pcie lane bifurcation and usb4.
9850x3d launches fairly soon, so if you feel inclined to wait do so.
1000w is fine, yeah your rig doesn't need more than 850w but 1000w isn't much more expensive. However gold rated A tier or above would be fine as well if you want to swap it.

The house fire connector would not melt nearly as often if nV bothered to make a proper VRM to balance power draw across the connector.
They clearly wanted to keep backward compatibility with PCI-E 8pin only PSUs. If they used something like pic related instead, with the same PCI-E 8-pin adapter then it could also melt but at the PSU end if the current imbalance was just as bad.
>>
>>107682578
The general rule is that higher reconstructed resolutions look better. So 4K DLSS Quality looks better than 1440p DLAA, which is of course better than 1440p TAA. So yes the 5070 Ti is a good 4K GPU

My colleagues use AI to write comments on my PRs
A Junior colleague doesn't know what a primary key is but he insisted he wants to write a SQL script which we need to execute on live environment
We had an argument with another developer, he used AI to create counter arguments on my arguments
We had to delete lots of rows and one of the developers came up with SQL Server Heaps (first time I see them)

Satan trips knows how Satan works.
Also, there was a study I remember reading a few months back, which confirms exactly what you are saying. Where they tested the intelligence of people who used AI to varying degrees for writing tasks, and the ones who relied on it the most ended up with diminished mental facilities.

The other day I remember telling my mother that it's important as she gets older that she find ways to learn new things every day. My grandmother had alzheimers, and it does run in the family, but one of the things about alzheimers is you can reduce the likelihood of it occurring if you are using your brain more often. Learn new things, make it do work every day for some purpose. Create new neural connections and you won't lose the ones you have.

Do you think it might be possible that those who rely most heavily on AI to do thinking for them might end up with something like early onset dementia? Because that shit is some serious body horror, wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Just did this recently. It werks. Shelter app no more needed.

Work profile us better. Private space can't use biometrics so it's really annoying for banking apps. Unless you set separate fingerprints, then it works, but you need to unlock it every time you start an app and all the notifications are locked too. Also you can't put icons on the home screen.

Work profile with Shelter just werks

First time buildung a PC so bear with me. Are there any mistakes that I'm making? Here's the build that I'm planning: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TGZJFZ

I've already got the ram and the 2tb ssd and am mostly certain for the cpu, gpu and storage. Also mostly certain for the case as well as the cooler despite its cost because I'm too much of an autist and will need a way to track my thermals without alt tabbing all of the time. Was even considering the y70 for the touch panel but it seems too gimicky and I don't want another monitor to draw power from the gpu.

Still not sure about the motherboard, the PSU and the monitor. Might also swap the fan with an lcd one. I was also thinking of changing the case for the XL variant and getting more fans and a bigger variant of the same cooler but for now I'm thinking of going with the smaller variant as I probably won't be upgrading the gpu for a bigger one anytime soon. Budget is more or less the one in the link and I'm from Europe so some parts are not as easy to obtain - the cooler for example is the only white 2 fan cooler with a similar display I could find and I'm still not sure if it will be in stock.

Thanks in advance.

A few of you may have discovered today that thumbnails suddenly stopped loading in Firefox. I did.
Checking the browser console, I found errors for each thumbnail in the catalog which said "A resource is blocked by OpaqueResponseBlocking, please check browser console for details."
After disabling browser.opaqueResponseBlocking in about:config, those error messages turned into 403's and the images would still not load.
I did a desuarchive search for Firefox and found a post in /trash/ saying "I figured it out. 4chan is now asking for referrers when requesting images from 4cdn... TL:DR; 4chan wants to know where you were before loading an image." along with a screenshot of all about:config settings with the word "referer" in them.
With the help of that screenshot, I pinpointed the issue to network.http.referer.XOriginPolicy in about:config, which I had set to 2 for whatever reason, I don't know. Setting it to 0 fixed the problem.
Most of you on Firefox probably won't experience this since 0 is the default setting.
So, for those of you also experiencing this issue, there's the fix, and now the fix is on desuarchive for others to find.
Feel free to discuss the technological/privacy ramifications of this change by 4chan, or if the /trash/ poster's analysis is correct.
