>Being concerned that TSMC’s expansion into the United States could dilute Taiwan’s semiconductor leadership, Taiwanese authorities are mulling setting a new export rule that would only let the world’s number-one foundry export technologies that are two generations behind its leading-edge production node

kinda funny, not gonna lie. apparently the taiwanese think america is somehow obliged to protect them from the mainlaind. just because, apparently.

Yeah, nah. I’m Australian and don’t automatically have a British citizenship, mate. It’s very easy to obtain citizenship, but there are certain things you need to do to obtain citizenship. Most Australians don’t have British citizenship.

>An Australian can apply for British citizenship through naturalisation if they have lived in the UK for a certain period, typically five years, and meet other requirements such as having indefinite leave to remain.

of course, taiwan is geostrategically extremely important, and not just because of its industries. it's a spot that sits in the middle of the chinese coast and enables us to control everything.
it's as if us had only the east coast and cuba was sitting right in the middle of it and soviet union was packing it with weapons.

European workers lack the intelligence, the skills, the mindset, the work ethic for this. Some very few yes, but by far not enough as needed for those fabs. In the US it's only even worse. Everybody is demanding better "work-life balance" and the ideology of DEI is preventing any competitive efficiency in the first place.

It's all made by chinks you stupid fuck. First party is also gimped in modern features because they want you to buy controllers so they build them to break. You are mentally slow and just speaking out your ass when a simple google search and review shows that third party mogs mainline controllers to the point both Sony and Nintendo gimps them via firmware or by not allowing them to use the mainline boards. They are typically more durable, have better performance and are cheaper.
I can't say much for then new steam controller but Valve's last one was a fucking wreck and a meme.
>>
>>107616944
>First party is also gimped in modern features
First party console controllers, sure, but not the steam controller. There's not a single first or third party controller with comparable features.
>Valve's last one was a fucking wreck and a meme
False. It had some issues like lacking a right stick, but was probably the best there is if you were willing to invest the time to adapt to and work around them. The second one fixed the main issues.
>>
>>107616975
Just admit you have shit taste and move on. Objectively speaking from features to even the polling rate and even durability a many modern third party controllers mog it. Don't ask me to explain myself when you can't even listen to objective facts and go muh feelings you retarded piece of shit.

This is not a drill, it's finally confirmed that China has a working EUV prototype since early 2025, it's just undergoing testing and verification right now, expected to enter large scale production by 2028-2030.

>In a high-security Shenzhen laboratory, Chinese scientists have built what Washington has spent years trying to prevent: a prototype of a machine capable of producing the cutting-edge semiconductor chips that power artificial intelligence, smartphones and weapons central to Western military dominance, Reuters has learned. Completed in early 2025 and now undergoing testing, the prototype fills nearly an entire factory floor.

>The availability of parts from older ASML machines on secondary markets has allowed China to build a domestic prototype, with the government setting a goal of producing working chips on the prototype by 2028, according to the two people. But those close to the project say a more realistic target is 2030, which is still years earlier than the decade that analysts believed it would take China to match the West on chips.

>The breakthrough marks the culmination of a six-year government initiative to achieve semiconductor self-sufficiency, one of President Xi Jinping's highest priorities. While China's semiconductor goals have been public, the Shenzhen EUV project has been conducted in secret, according to the people.

Because every frontier model producer is reporting difficulty scaling any further and is resorting to cheap tricks and misrepresentation to make it appear that they're still improving so they can keep hoovering up funding money. We ran out of training data a while ago.

Because line eventually stops going up. Automobiles quickly reached a point when they stopped improving fundamentally. Airplanes quickly reached a point when they stopped improving fundamentally. CPUs quickly reached a point when they stopped improving fundamentally.
It is 2025 and we have no flying cars, no teleportation, no AI (no, slop is not AI), no interstellar or even interplanetary travel (travel, not rare scientific missions) and so on.
Otherwise let me tell you about this fusion reactor that will surely work in about 10 more years.
>>
>>107613175
Because it's run of data to train on. Current AI has no adaptability and no capability to learn on its own.

There needs to be a revolution in hardware followed by another revolution in AI software before we'll see actual useful AI.
