>basically everything I'm uncomfy with work at is basically>"I'd do X Y and Z at home, but this system costs more to merely exist for a day than my life (objectively speaking), so I'm not comfortable attacking it with my usual hick methods.">boss tells me to fuck with it anyway>goes fine the couple times it's had to happenhow do i start taking my own advice and go about touching stuff wrt "invasive surgery"I would love to quote at my juniors at another job>if you stay on the defensive, you'll never become the real thing>the hungrier you are, the better>the more reckless the situation, the betterEverything's in place. How do I grow up? It feels like so long since I was a rookie before, and I was so much braver but so less powerful then. I'm still the new guy, and that is not the problem. I am confident in what few skills I have; I didn't lie in my interviews. I'm a rookie again, but knowing that I don't know shit as a real adult now, and knowing how touchy big corporations are and how systems are and shall be as designed, I dunno, I'm not fucking trauma team I don't have liability insurance for this. If it were at the unit I'd be like "Fuck it, I told you do do it, so tell them I told you to do it" but now that I have someone who says that, it's not that I don't feel safe doing it, I feel like something might be disabled forever and now regardless of liability or whatever it's a me problem forever.
And it's not like I'm uncomfortable changing a card or whatever, but a lot of this junk is far beyond end-of-life. If my ESD strap fails and there's a jolt, it's over. If one pin somewhere bends, it's over. I don't worry so much that I'll do it, but things happen, and the nature of repairs with limited parts makes things dumb. If one little bracket is found to be stripped in one screw hole, it's not like we can just order a new one or even throw some bondo in there. At home I would proudly drive a screwdriver in there and use a die set to cut new thread. Maybe 3d print some shit at the library. Maybe just use some dipshit "mending plate" in its place. In a real company, you can't do that.At home I would gladly attack any device with any tool I have; even at work, it's not about maintaining SLAs or pretending like I'm not an embarrassing lunatic. If something is stripped, or some card failed, it can't just be so easily replaced with an equivalent. hick shit has no place in commercial venture. niggas got contracts and shit, and occasional inspections. I just want things to work, and to be let do what I have to do to make things work.
>>107618737I was in the navy; I was notable for "ammo conservation" despite being an amazing shot
I've only not made top score among the section at a range day once. I missed literally one shot, and while I don't distinctly remember it, the C7 has a problem where the trigger doesn't reset properly so the next pull is always inconsistent. I dunno if it's a general AR platform thing or just the C7, but I don't like it. I put clean holes in dimes at 20m with a .177 and am accurate enough with a pistol for combat. Unfortunately, I'm a huge pussy and have never taken a rifle combat shooting course anyway and am horrendously out of shape, and they only draw snipers from infantry despite how far you can walk without complaining, so it's IT for me. They probably have homing lasers these days anyway
building and firing a low power (175fps, .40 caliber) railgun into a server (the induction from the rails does more damage due to poor design of the rack as provided by APC)
Smartest man on Earth says so.You can convert 4 Jupiters into pure fusion energy, and the Sun will still account for 100% of ALL energy in the solar system.Stop spending money and human resources on making fusion energy possible.

Why is it never semicircle

>>107615838this is factual>>107616528way more people use irc than matrix. always have, always will. irc is a well supported and recognized internet standard. jewslop by amdocs isn't. also matrix's jew developers thought they could replace irc. everyone would just instantly move to a jew app for no apparent reason. matrix's desperation to be relevant was so blatant that they even tried to bridge to irc networks, until people quickly realized how unreliable these bridges were and quickly abandoned them or they were banned. quite amazing how a jewcorp wanted to bridge to something that "Nobody uses your shit anymore".

I work at a hospital there are so many items that cost like 15k that do most simplest tasks. For example this pill counter which uses computer vision of some sort to count pills costs literally 2k to 10k.Can any anons tell me how they're getting away with such outsourcing price gouging
