Go has a tiny runtime and compiles quick, I use it for work all the time, but lacking basic features like explicit nullability, data classes, compiler enforced type exhaustion, default arguments, named arguments, function overloading etc

All that being said, if I were spinning a new microservice I'd pick go over Kotlin every time because everything else at my company uses go and it just works for the crud garbage we do
