Would it be morally wrong to write c/c++ code with AI?
Why would it be?
It has been a while since I last saw a fastman thread, has /g/ gotten too slow?

>>106542054if US there's serious limits to how much they can jew you as long as you pay security deposit. and if they let you rent for a day, theyll rent to you for a year. even if you ask for the extension in the eleventh hour. they will suck your cock for an extension. ill be honest i have no idea why house boat rentals exist but here we are, and its a renters market right now. btw if youre reading this and rent; go cry about inflation to any downtown landlord anywhere and i bet you can get like a $800 studio and a move in special gift card of some kind.
>>106542083Not US, but thanks for the in depth analysis. I'll look into it. Or probably not, I'm just a faggot spitballing here.
>>106542117Godspeed future boat dwelling anon. Not sure how markets are elsewhere but in US landlords are half underwater with land nowhere in sight and renters will win for the next 8-12 months. Great time to lock in to something to absolutely fuck the merchants. Only caveat is these guys finally have time and motive to go to small claims court so make sure you cleanup when you move out.
>>106542063this only works fine if you're young, as in you're still in highschool cause beard is not even that thick yet at that age, you try it in your 30s and it fucks your skin up real bad
I wanna build a board like 4chan but for Christian discussions only. If I am just to get started I will probably deploy web front end on a free platform and the servers at home for now. Ill probably just build a new desktop and install Debian on it so it will run a few docker instances of a database and maybe Java or NodeJS backend to generate ids, confirm upload file formatting, generate captchas. I know how most of full stack works but dont have much experience with running multiple servers at once for the same front end.Is it a common practice to run load balancer on multiple docker instances on the same machine with a powerful processor? Should I invest in AWS or buy a small server rack instead?

>>106537462This is 100% bait, but that is a retarded way to try and debunk souls and an afterlife. It's not even up to date with modern Science which is discovering that other parts of the body can affect thoughts and preferences (ex: transplants). It also implies that Alzheimer's and Dementia patients are less of themselves when that not true. That's a layman way of describing it, but it's just they have horrible memory/ability to think, behavioral changes/issues, but there are lucid moments. They themselves are the same human with an altered mental state. Being drunk and being a dick because you take steroids doesn't make you less you, it just affects your mental state. Also this does nothing to disprove you have a little soul ball inside you that plops out on death and skedaddles somewhere. We can't even explain why perception affects particles, so any attempt to disprove any fantastical concept is Reddit tier speculation.
Just run it on cloudflare workers and KV. Your website will become irrelevant and you'll just wasted a few hours setting up the backend.
>>106542373nah this is good advice in general not just because it only takes a few hours but if the backend is free and hosted for free in the background somewhere the shit will run for years and years and actually has the potential to stick around long enough to get a base

>>106541469>Is memory safety just a meme?It was solved in the 1960s by the invention of the Garbage Collector, which was required to solve the funarg problem in Lisp. Something only a really brilliant, genius mind could do: John McCarthy. As long as you don't blow up the heap, you're safe. If the heap is filled, the program freezes execution or terminates. Of course, programming is pop culture. First (1970s) the pop culture mantra was "lisp runs slow", then in 1980s Lisp was made to run blazing fast but "now GC bad, requires tons of memory". Then in the 1990s you had more memory and Java appeard, but again, pop culture said "Java slow". Then in the 2000s Java now runs fast but "GC bad because GC pauses". Subsequently we now have concurrent garbage collectors, thus not a problem anymore but now "GC bad".Memory safety was already solved down to the inner core of the operating system on Lisp Machines (1980s-90s), where even the operating system code used garbage collection. They dissappeared due to astronomically high prices and propietary software that remains propietary up to this very day.

which payment method for point of sale transactions do you think is best, considering privacy, anonymity, security and ease of use?big tech / apple pay seems less private, however the use of virtual card numbers and tokenization seems like it would help leak less information to merchantscards are a similar story, but using a credit card might be better in terms of security in case it is lost or stolen cash is obviously anonymous, but many stores no longer accept it and it is also easy to lose, get stolen or scammed by the indian worker who cant do math and charges you extraobviously nothing will beat monero xmr, however i dont think your local goyslop merchant is going to be accepting this any time soon

From customer pov, credit card because everyone has one. From developer pov, credit card because everyone has one. Most people don't give a shit about privacy
>>106541153amex, they let me buy loli doujin unlike the others
I use credit most places because I like the 2.5-5% cash back. I carry cash as a backup and use it places where there is a card upcharge or if it's something I want to keep private. I always pay my cards in full. I never use debit, and those cards are always locked
I am probably one of the biggest Applefags on /g/ and even I can admit that the Air is probably going to be a disaster. Let's talk about this.>Apple announced a few weeks ago they will be manufacturing every iPhone 17 model in India>Air is a thin model with presumably a much smaller battery >Pro model has a screen on the back and a protective cover which can be broken with a butter knife, no kidding>protective cover can retract upwards revealing the screen if you swipe upwards on the back casingThere are so many points of failure for this phone it's unreal. >the screen on the back which can easily shatter in your pocket or one bad fall, zero protection because it's next to the camera>the battery on the air model which is going to suck as is the case with every other thin phone>the protective cover which can snap off in your pocket>the back cover which can become unresponsive or register slight gestures such as a rotation in your pocket and retract the cover (potentially snapping it)What is Apple thinking? I have a 15 Pro Max which is due for a replacement soon and I might just go Android this time around.
