I got 128gb of DDR4 in january
sure it's slow but holy mother of god am I happy I did
glad the build overall is only a few years old, too. I could've gone for a ddr5 motherboard but honestly I probably wouldn't have made such a casual impulse decision to max out the RAM
It was $200 for an extra 64gb anons. TPTB don't want us to own our computers anymore

because the dev took a break from the project, just like the X dev did. See pic. The 4chan-X dev has been gone for way longer than the XT dev has.

Neither of them are abandonware until the repos are put into archive mode.

Winboat, Winboat, Winboat, Winboat, you problem, you problem.

The fact that Riot is requiring a BIOS update for their shitty anti-cheat to work and EA requiring both TPM and Secure Boot to be enabled should be a major red flag to never buy or play any of their games. Nothing should be touching the kernel in any capacity.

I can play FF14 (with plugins), WoW, DBD, Warframe, TF2 and more without any issues what-so-ever.
Sure, Fortnite is like the only thing that I would like to play on Linux, but I dual boot Windows and I don't need to have TPM/SecureBoot/Updated BIOS in order to play that.

>spend 2 hours debloating

>spend 3 hours removing spyware
>use an external network monitor and note that it doesn't even work because windows bypasses user settings
>spend 7 hours and 4 reboots for windows update to finish
>install alternatives to windows defender, firewall, start menu, explorer, edge, media player, literally everything because its all shit by default
>install drivers, from the developers, because you can't trust windows update to handle your drivers
>finally turn off windows update, because this is recommended by anyone who uses windows for obvious reasons
don't forget to do your bimonthly reinstalls because everything breaks and that is always the first and usually only thing microsoft support suggest. or defragging your hard disk because windows still uses ntfs for some reason. it is actually unbelievable that there are still windowsbros

In 10 days on January 1st, the Texas Law [SB2420] that requires an ID to download ANY apps onto your phone using the App/Play Stores, goes into effect.
How do we bypass this, is it just over, should we all just switch to dumbPhones soon???...I know that theres F-Droid, and you can use the Aurora Store to bypass this (maybe), but some apps refuse to work unless you download them from the Play Store now, and I heard that sideloading will be disabled in 1-2 years, so it seems like its over.

>tl;dr
Once this law goes into effect, users located in Texas who download an app on the App/Play Stores, will be required to confirm whether they are 18 years or older, by showing their ID.

I work at a hospital there are so many items that cost like 15k that do most simplest tasks. For example this pill counter which uses computer vision of some sort to count pills costs literally 2k to 10k.

Can any anons tell me how they're getting away with such outsourcing price gouging

Like the movie industry
there are many studios, production companies in the same giant corporation,
they all practice high/inflated prices
in reality money from one pocket to the other

Who gets scammed?
Investors, say one investor decides to invest in one movie, most of the money will be sucked in the costs and profits will be small, where he gets his cut.

Who else?
All kinds of outside clients.
Say Some independent filmmakers want to rent a studio to shoot some scene, they'll get raped, while inhouse the price doesn't have much meaning.

The pleb that buys the cinema ticket also gets an inflated price.

hospitas are basically the same bullshit as milspec, so the pill counting machine wont get built if every part isn't coming from bespoke licensed sources and a few of them are made only by one company that can charge whatever they want because nobody else is allowed to make them
>>
>>107619302
get a metal tray with 100 pill sized pits in it
slide pills around until the pits fill, remove excess
you now counted 100 pills, repeat as often as needed
>>
>>107616147
You could probably rig up a pill counter like that with a $50 webcam and OpenCV that'd work quite well but it'd be missing all the ceritifcations. (How precise is the counting? Is the tray food safe and easy to clean? Will it work for an extended time in a hospital environment)
That's what's all the cost. That and it being a specialist product with a limited number of potential buyers.
>>
>>107616449
>in order to be able to sell anything in the eu it needs a ce mark. to get your ce mark you need to get certified by a 3rd party. however you can very simply say to the 3rd party, actually i do not want this part tested, i have no interest in meeting this part of the requirements. and you just accept the responsibility of whatever happens. they give you a pass you sell your item, and when it kills someone you are just completely fucked. but until it kills someone nobody will try to stop you.
if a product has a legit CE mark, i.e. legitmately passed the conformity tests in a certified lab, you can be pretty sure it's not going to kill you by accident, but it's not a guarantee. doesnt mean you couldnt get a CE mark for clearly dangerous products that can easily kill you and anyone in the vicinity by improper use.
because people are not the main point of CE conformity. CE mark means you can be pretty sure that operating such device will not cause strange effects on other nearby devices. i.e. turning on your microwave should not cause nearby pacemakers to glitch.
but cheating your CE lab by requesting improper tests is just not a thing. from experience, there is a baseline cost of ~$10k for handheld low-voltage products. +$5k for radio testing. in a chinese lab. there isnt anything you could request that is cheaper, and will still get you a CE pass. sure you can tell them not to test the radio, but then your certificate will clearly say "product without radio" and if your product then still uses the radio, your CE mark is invalid. if you plan to do that, you are better off saving all of the cost and simply not do any testing at all.

So what's the deal with everyone hating on Rust?
The usual points people bring up are:
>wokism
>tranny language
>made by jews
>it's a cult

Disregarding the aforementioned points, can you tell me actual reasons for why a safe(r) programming language like Rust shouldn't be adopted more widely?
