No, but I imagine that many Linux flavors are gonna increase their OpSec, the hack allegedly wasn't that sophisticated or hard to do (according to the people reporting it), so they'll probably update safety protocol, maybe have to find someone who will do it for free or outsource and spend some money to secure the site more. Other flavors will most likely do the same.

I'm in the US and was able to install Debian in VMWare from the minimal ISO after posting my initial comment, so it's not my connection. I suppose I'll just mess around with Debian for now instead.

Obvious bug with Debian 13 + Xfce not showing the Ceratopsian theme. I installed through the installer (tasksel) so it would've included the desktop themes for current and past releases. For some reason it shows Xfce's default wallpaper instead.

It's not really good, but there's nothing wrong if you choose to use it over better options like flatpak and appimage.

Enjoy your systemd then. This shows the mirror status that Debian and other distros may use. I always check here first before proceeding in the installer in case something is down. If you select deb.debian.org it goes through a Fastly CDN but may not always pick a fast mirror.

There's your problem. The only thing you should use from C++ is std::vector and even then it's easy enough to roll your own dynamic array. Everything else from C++ is pure bloat and unsneeded.

Explain why anything found in C++ is better than just using plain C? Your inability to roll your own basic data structures is the only legitimate reason I've ever seen. If that's the case then get good.

I watched a boomer use photoshop today and it was like seeing a wizard do magic. he was clicking all these buttons and moving these sliders around and things on the screen were going transparent and getting outlined and flipping around and he was like bending the image to his will.

Way cooler than seeing AI work, but AI is still better.

If you're stuck with SATA, that's probably the best CxB you'll get.
As always, 3-2-1, regardless of brand and model. I have a few on clients PCs and only had one of them fail. Compared to Kingston A400, where 4 of them failed after <2 years on a 14 SSD batch, they're leagues better.

Again, don't trust it to last forever, but the performance is fine for what it is. They're made to be cheap, but good enough. TBW iirc of a 240GB model is around 30, but most games are usually read-heavy, and not write-heavy, but it mostly depends on the game, so YMMV.
>>
>>106972898
Wow that seems pretty low. I’ve only owned my computer for 5 years and I’ve written 44TB to the ssd through mostly just casual gaming use. Would that lower capacity drive have just failed on me by now?
>>
>>106973092
Probably? I had a CX300, 120GB, that lasted 3 years. Ended up replacing an HDD at work on an older laptop, with only 4% of its life remaining. Not sure how long it lasted, since I just gave it away for lab uses.
I'm checking the exact TBW of this SSD, and the 960GB version has 240TBW. I'm looking at this review from tomshardware:
https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/crucial-bx500-ssd,5377.html
I can't find the datasheet right now, I'm bumping heads with Zabbix at work :P
If I can find anything I'll post it here.

Don't buy anything OTHER THAN IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T, X, and W/P Series if you want the Real Business Experience™
>Other business laptops are welcome in /tpg/ (Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook)

Why ThinkPad?
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap
>Excellent keyboards, tactile feel and quiet + the TrackPoint
>Great durability: magnesium roll cage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop
>Easy to repair (most models), upgrade & maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model, spare parts easy & cheap to obtain
>Excellent Linux & *BSD support

Still better than
sudo nix-channel --list
sudo nix-channel --remove nixos
sudo nix-channel --add *insert new repo site here* nixos
==DECLARATIVE==
sudo nixos-rebuild switch
==AD-HOC==
nix-env -u '*'
==HOME MANAGER==
home-manager switch

And it works on older versions. On newer
nh os switch --update ~/config

just in flakes' case and not intended to be used with sudo... What a goddamn puzzle!
>>
>>106972933
>what is a flake

Another set of sudo commands:
==FLAKE.LOCK UPDATE==
nix flake update
==HOME MANAGER==
nix flake update home-manager
==APPLY UPDATES==
sudo nixos-rebuild switch --flake
==UPDATE LOCK AND APPLY==
sudo nixos-rebuild switch --recreate-lock-file --flake

And it's not guaranteed to work because it's an *experimental* feature.

Anon there's a reason we call them safety razors. At the time only straight edge existed first, and compared to those safety razors are safer and most importantly easier to use.
>but it also cuts you A lot
I'm not going to lie to you, you will cut yourself. Probably a few times too. It's part of learning, but if you pay attention and use proper technique you should be able to do it without any cutting within a few applications for facial and upper body hair.
If you want to shave your balls, mayor care is needed at first, but even that is not that hard to learn.
A straight edge razor is harder to get properly sharp, harder to use, and more likely to cause damage. But as that other anon said it'll last fucking forever.
>>
>>106972936
>>106972946
Isn't a disposable much easier and safer to use? Forget about straight razors, too time consuming and steep learning curve.
Safety razor still cuts too much.
>>
>>106973008
>Isn't a disposable much easier and safer to use?
Easier yes, safer is debatable. I've cut myself with both in the past. With bad technique, a safety razor can cut you up much more than a disposable one, that much is true. If however you keep the disposable for longer because you don't want to waste as much money (as opposed to how long you use a blade for the safety razor) and it starts dulling, then the safety probably comes out on top.

If you have to use it while distracted or something or you can't be arsed to put some time aside to learn it, a disposable is likely your best bet. If you have the time to pay attention and learn the movement, I'd advocate for the safety personally.
In the end, both will work, though you can cut yourself on a disposable too, so don't assume it to be totally safe either.

any sampler order changes or anything? if you have temp last or late in the sampler chain it won't appear to do much if most of the tokens are already being cut off before they reach it
>>
>>106973066
That's beyond what I understand. I see the sampler order in the terminal. Looks like an array of integers, [6,0,1,3,4,2,5], but I don't know what that represents. I'll read some docs.

So i just graduated from college and landed an internship as a Dev. They gave me some programming work, some documentation etc while I was interning. Out of the 3 months I was interning Only 1 was programming. Now I got hired and have been working for another 3 months at the same place but all I've done was documentation and PowerBI work.
I fucking hate this PowerBI shit. I want to program and from what I understood the last guy that had these PowerBI clients passed them all to me so its basically all I'm gonna be doing. Mind you I havent touched a line of fucking code since I got it... I dont even know if I can even program anything anymore.

My title is Developer Analyst. How fucked am I is this normal while starting or some shit. The urge to kill myself from this nothing burger soulless work grows by the day. And most of the day I dont even work cause I dont understand shit about PowerBI and I had no formation on the matter
