Oh thank fuck, it's a nothingburgerI can continue with that 265K build

My current Emacs config was made using the https://emacs.amodernist.com/ website. I mean, it works okay, but it feels boring and bland. What packages or configurations you guys use? I don't care about bloat, my computer can handle even shit like JetBrains with ease, some packages for Emacs won't be a problem.

ITT discussions and evidence of the enshittification of technology. The obvious example of yesterday's AWS outage is very in your face but I feel the normies have no idea things are getting worse until the AI (actually Indians) accidentally push some bad DNS configs and fuck up every service on the East coast. But if they only knew about the things quietly breaking and getting worse over time. Recently I've noticed Google maps giving increasingly braindead navigation instructions. Following them adds 10 minutes to the time estimate. Ignoring them and just taking the interstate has me arrive 5 minutes earlier. A 15 minute differential on a 30 minute commute is wild. How bad do things need to get before they stop outsourcing literally everything?

Prices have already risen and they do not drop any more. As you can see year long waits are expected for 30TB+ HDDs. The same applies to RAM and SSDs too, OpenAI plans to buy 40% of all NAND in the world next year, going directly to SK Hynix and Samsung, purchasing the wafers themselves before they are even turned into chips, other AI companies will snap up the rest, there will be nothing left for end users.OpenAI's Stargate project has a $500 Billion budget and they plan to spend all of it.

I love putting my hand on the cool, metallic surface of a pc case with a humming HDD inside. The vibrations make me feel alive.
I don't mind noises for the most part, but my laptop gives coil whine when you touch the touchpad. in a quiet room at night it will drive you crazy. not even moving it around, just touching it creates the whine and the only way to fix it is to turn off cpu boostsay what you want about Steve Jobs but he would never let a product ship like that

So, you had a couple weeks to adapt to herAre you enjoying windows 11 now?
I've unironically come around after using LTSC. Windhawk fixes all my problems with the start menu/taskbar plus a ton more. I also find I have to restart a lot less in general. Adding a device to equalizer apo for example no longer needs a reboot.
>if i bait pedophiles they'll install the botnet along with me o algo
>>106972189I've used it daily for work because that's what 90% of our users are on, helps me to notice when they roll out some retarded change like them adjusting the look of Settings in 25H2 that way I'm not clueless at someone's computerShift+f10 during the "Asking for Internet" first time setup, oobe \bypassnro, run a few PS scripts to move the taskbar icons to the left and pin apps we need, etc. Windows 11 sucks, yes, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be. I was a 7 purist for a long time, but I figure I'll relegate that to a few machines and keep using rufus to throw W11 on random shit. It works well enough for what I do, and I'm competent enough to switch it back if need be.Btw sometimes a BIOS update on your Win10 machine can make you eligible for Windows 11 if you're concerned about not being "truly" licensed. Virtual TPM was added to some manufacturers BIOS updates and so you may not need a physical chip. Or just use rufus lol
