I may be late to the party on this but my alphoomer nephew just showed me a locked thread of the Scratch Director of Technology losing his cool at 10 year olds and and being moderated by his own moderation team due to his "impolite" remarks while arguing over TOS changes that trains AI on user projects and adds an AI assistant. I guess not all gen alphababies got oneshotted by LLMs. Where's his PR guy to tell him a grown man throwing redditisms like "ad hominem" and "false narrative" at users he acknowledges in the same thread are statistically 80% under the age of 12 comes across incredibly retarded and tactless?

Every single game with Denuvo has been bypassed
Bypass is available for all denuvo games on day 0

Irdeto is seething hard and saying more invasive DRM is coming. I'm guessing they will demand kernel level access in later versions of Denuvo.

Will Microsoft allow them that?

Wagecucks waste time just being wagecucks. You're either earning more than you actually need and are forced to try and make up for the wasted time by investing that money into shit that might save you time in other areas or just delude you into thinking it's worth it, or you're earning just enough to get by which means you're just fucked.
There isn't always a choice, but it's pretty sad nonetheless.

Some anons were arguing about it in the last thread

Yes, I know this is the place where everybody loves to rice and have complete control over their system, but unlike some people who use Linux, I actually have a job and things I need to do.

I have been daily driving Linux, and it is very good, but I was wondering if it is possible to still have a good understanding of Linux systems on what some may call a “normie” distro like Ubuntu. Do I really need to use something like Arch or Gentoo to learn Linux? And if I do use Arch or Gentoo, am I even really learning Linux? It kind of seems I would learn more about the package manager and whatever other stuff it uses instead of actually learning Linux systems.

Why do you need to get good at linux if you're just gonna do office work, just use any desktop those are intuitive enough to not need to be good at anything and then you just get libre and brrrt you now have a working mans machine
Or you just webapp everything those just care about the browser you're using
>>
>>108502677
Learn Linux? No, you probably won't touch the kernel.
Learn GNU/Systemd/Linux? Then yes, you will learn a lot regardless of how you install your distro. The only difference is some stuff might already be already streamlined if its common or you might have to deal with changing or uninstalling annoying defaults if it's something uncommon or abtuse.
The advantage of "hard" distros is to make your computer behave exactly as you want or just to explicitly see what is being installed/setup. If you pick all default options or don't know what things mean then you should just use an "easy" distro.
If you just want to feel superior just join the "I actually do work on my machine" crowd.
>>
God I hate these linux newfags
The distros are ALL the same, its the same fucking thing. It doesn't fucking matter, pick one with a cool logo

It's all still GNU/Linux, the biggest differences in user experience come from the Desktop Environment as they come with a different set of applications and tools, some support Wayland by default others are still on X11.
Then there's package managers like apt, the new formats like flatpak and snap, and whether the distro uses systemd.
If you're happy with what you're using just spin up a VM to play around in instead of distrohopping.

>>
>>108503291
Can you elaborate on this? Beam languages are also kind of geared to work like microservices, but that doesn't mean you can't write a non-distributed program in them. Internally, an erlang/OTP application is going to have a supervision tree which is kind of like its own orchestration mechanism for the purposes of reliability and error tolerance. I wouldn't be surprised that Go might have something similar.
>>
>>108503288
JP is that you?
>>
>>108504490
Funnily, enough, you can often write chains like
if foo, err := Foo(); err != nil {
return ...
} else if bar, err := Bar(); err != nil {
return ...
} else if baz, ok := Baz(); !ok {
return ...
}

and it generally works quite well. Until, well, until you need to do something that can *not* fail. At which point it all breaks down and you wish for proper do-notation.

Reposting on new thread
My laptop restarted out of nowhere and went immediately into the bios, any restart attempt leads back into the bios. I figure the issue is the empty boot load order, but my drive is still being recognized. Anything I can try out other than trying to install windows from scratch?
>>
>>108506147
use a windows installer media aka usb with a windows iso and try to fix the install with DISM and SFC. iirc there's a few commands to fix the bootloader as well, there should be plenty of guides out there or maybe some anon knows the specifics.

Also I see your Boot priority doesn't have anything, does that mean it doesn't recognize the bootloader? have you tried booting into the drive from there?

This year's Debian Project Leadership election has only ONE candidate and it's a Pajeeta (Sruthi Chandran):
>She is inactive on the mailing lists, and her Salsa profile is private so we can't even see what her coding contributions are.
>She's run for DPL 4 times before; lost each time
>Her entire platform is just about diversity and bitching about cis males
>She intends to formally incorporate Debian in the US, which would force Debian to introduce age verification
Her only claim to fame is organizing DebConf23, an event where a Debian developer literally fucking DIED because basic health & safety measures were not followed.

A much more qualified candidate was hospitalized during the nomination window and couldn't apply in time, yet she has refused to reopen nominations.

Debian is FUCKED unless the Debian developers all vote NOTA (None of the above).

Debian is used for more usecases than, "College age gaymer wants a Windows replacement". It collapsing would suck for the FOSS world. Debian supports a lot of hardware that other Linux distros don't and it's the main free alternative to corporate LTS distros.

Isn't it all just a matter of scale?
For under 10k, my local setup is unbeatable, but it takes some effort because it works iteratively with human feedback and guidance. If it were over 10k, I wouldn't train it, because SaaS sucks - both in principle and in practice - and locally it becomes too much work if the team doesn't scale.
