A better argument is, normalizing lossy copies will convince delusional idiots that the problem of preservation has been solved, which may prevent actual preservation efforts. Nothing against scrapers, but they should be shamed for this.
(I'd reserve the boiling for destruction of the originals. And yes, that happened, there's a precedent of libraries destroying - literally destroying - books and newspapers because they've been "archived" to microfilm. Never mind that browsing them is so cumbersome the copies are nearly useless, never mind that it makes a lot of text undecipherable, and basically all photos/illustrations irrevocably damaged. Fuck those people, and we can't risk that ever happening again.)

ITT we share helpful firefox user_prefs that make it better. I'll start.

This removes the annoying banner saying press ESC to exit fullscreen every time you fullscreen a yt video.

user_pref("browser.engagement.downloads-button.has-used", true);
With this in your user.js before you open the browser it won't popup instructions on obvious features. I have a pretty big user.js based on betterfox that disables telemetry and toggles all the settings the way I like them so it's completely configured on install without doing anything, and then I've added a bunch of minor quality of life conveniences like these. Share yours anons.

Fact of the matter is no Adobe platform is better than its open source opponents. None. Everything went completely dark since late last week, I have one recruiter email this morning and a recruiter phone screen later today, and nothing else

I have already had final round interviews at 2 places and haven't hard a rejection, and several recruiters (external and internal) have mentioned they're submitting my resume to the hiring manager

It's going to be fucking nothing for 2 weeks then I'll get slammed, I kinda was hoping I'd have an offer before the holidays just for the emotional release, or at least even some rejections so I'm not left in an anxious holding pattern

Not for any particular purpose, but I like collecting identity leaks (usernames, emails, etc.) and would like to consolidate everything into a single DB so that duplicated data across multiple torrents isn't taking up as much space as it currently is.
That said, I'm not a big DB guy and wondering if there's a particularly good choice for this task. I'm imagining I'd like something like a primary key be some UUID that then has columns for username arrays, email arrays, and then other general info that might be found. Not sure if I care about uname:pword mappings. Also not sure if I'd want to redo my data model at some point in the future as I work on it. Performance isn't a great concern, but it would be great if it had good on-disk compression when the dataset is entirely short text entries.

Also, what the fuck is with these captchas?
Is there any particular database that would be good for this?

I just went to the React docs for `memo` and it recommended using the React Compiler. I didn't see anything suggesting the Compiler is experimental. The compiler NPM package is version 1.0.0 so presumably they think it's production ready?

If I run into problems I guess I'll get rid of the Compiler and just use `memo` as before
