nothing, twitter was the only social I was really active on, all the others I created accounts on and abandoned due to inactivity

Fellow software engineers, what's your plan for the next 5-10 years?
I wasn't worried until Sonnet & Opus 4.5 but it genuinely one shots everything I give it. We went from doing 30 story points (team of 4) to 60 per sprint after the release.
The writing is on the wall, software engineering will be the first white collar job to be automated.
What do we do afterwards?

Riddle me fucking this, Software Engineering was the best field to be in, now all of a sudden the kikes go like "you know what? you're automated away now" and they deploy a basilisk that self-consumes software engineers. AI has hit Software Engineering the worst.

What more proof would you need or want that everything is fake, gay and retarded and doctored? They literally engineered the demise.

I find myself on the opposite end of a similar dilemma. I work in a high voltage trade in the power utility sector. Job security is pretty much guaranteed. They encourage us to do EE (power systems) and pay for it because of the industry shortage. I plan on doing it albeit trying to pivot into something more tech related within the company I work for but I don't plan on leaving this sector. It is stable and it pays really well for the work we do. I just want to pivot into a more office/wfh role rather than always be out in the field.

it's not complicated at all and it's not "slightly" slower. It's much much slower. Buying regular ram at 5 times the price to run an llm on it is retarded, just buy gpus that have a ton of vram on them and are literally made for that

how are you going to run anything on the server without ram to allocate to shit?
It took 40gb of ram to emulate 2 catalyst 9000 switches in eveng when I needed that.

My colleagues use AI to write comments on my PRs
A Junior colleague doesn't know what a primary key is but he insisted he wants to write a SQL script which we need to execute on live environment
We had an argument with another developer, he used AI to create counter arguments on my arguments
We had to delete lots of rows and one of the developers came up with SQL Server Heaps (first time I see them)

This is 100% correct. Also, car use lost us walkable cities, so now every major city in America is a loud, frightening, asphalt hellscape.

SAm alTmAN is gay (a perversion of the male drive towards life) and literally has Satan spread nearly symmetrically across his name. In the exact center of his name are the letters Al which are indistinguishable from the acronym AI on most computers.
The OpenAI logo is a hexagram with a storm around it, mirroring the pole of Saturn, the sixth planet from the sun.
Jensen Huang is also gay and the name Nvidia is known to be derived from the latin for "envy". Envy of God is the source of the highest forms or evil.
The most popular computing brand in the world, Apple, most famous for bringing smartphones to the masses, devices which have the primary purpose of porn, doomscrolling and mindrotting, has an apple logo symbolic of sin of Adam. The logo is a reference to the suicide of Alan Turing, the gay father of the digital computer.
I don't know how much more obvious it has to be for midwit "rationalists" to get the picture. All you have to do is open your eyes just a little bit and not dismiss everything that doesn't fit into your "empirical" worldview as coincidence.

What's up with Microsoft Surface?

No, believe it or not, I'm white. I just have anti-social traits because I have an inability to feel remorse. I end up doing these crimes because they feel insignificant to me but they always get a strong reaction and I end up posting about these to piss off the people who categorically reject me.
>>
>>107686075
Sounds like you need help to recognize when you should feel remorse to stop your kleptomaniac / worse impulses.
>>
>>107686889

I do feel remorse when I get caught for getting caught but other than that I just use it to not get caught the next time. I am not kleptomanic, kleptomania is when you have an obsession to steal for the purpose of stealing. I don't like stealing, I don't do it unless I have to, but whenever I see an opportunity, I act on it. I do it calculatively meaning the skim has to remain undetected for as long as possible. I steal because I want money to spend on shit, and if there's something I like to do, it's spending.

The dopamine from buying new shit and having nice stuff is just too strong to ignore. I also grow and sell weed, because stealing doesn't produce enough alone. I also leave some taxes unpaid and put a lot of shit on expenses so I don't have to pay taxes on my side gig. I'm one mistake away from getting entirely nuked by a police investigation yet it seems like there is not a single deterrant. This way of life isn't easy or fun, but I never chose this myself.
>>
>>107685223
The irony being that the Surface runs an actual desktop OS and is still somehow worse.
>>
>>107683808

Its not hard to see the vision, its just not what people want in firefox. The only people who use firefox are the "muh privacy" and "fuck jewgule" folk, neither has any need for AI in a browser.

For how long can you maintain a codebase until it becomes so old that you have to take everything and dump it into the nearest garbage bin and start over?

Ask the banks and financial institutions still using FORTRAN.

What did she mean by this
>>
>>107688417
I assume if you don't have to add new features on that thing, or at very few features, it might be worth to just leave it like that. And paying the high salary of FORTRAN or COBOL programmers ends up being worth for the company.

I assume banking is also particularly uneasy about changing codebases because you really don't want to screw that up when you are dealing with people's money.
